These won’s gazes carried a mixture of admiration, curiosity, and jealousy.

"How did Ning Xi manage to get so close to him?" one woman whispered.

"If she can do it, then there must be a way," another said quietly, her eyes narrowing slightly. "I just need the right opportunity."

"I don’t believe I’m worse than her," a third added with quiet confidence. "If I try, I can definitely catch Young Master Lin Feng’s attention."

A few others exchanged glances, their thoughts unspoken but similar.

At the center of all these shifting emotions, Ning Xi remained calm and composed, walking beside Lin Feng without any visible change in expression. She had already chosen her path.

Whether others misunderstood or envied her, it no longer disturbed her as much as it once might have.

Love was truly a powerful thing, as it had completely transford Ning Xi into soone stronger and more composed than she had been when she was still single.

And as for Lin Feng, he continued forward at an even pace, his expression indifferent, as if the surrounding admiration, envy, and ambition were nothing more than background noise in a world that revolved entirely on its own.

There was food, music, and dancing, and the atmosphere inside the Ning Clan hall gradually loosened as the celebration continued.

Elegant lodies drifted through the air while servants moved between tables carrying exquisite dishes and fine wine. Laughter and conversation blended into a steady background hum of festivity.

Yet even in such a setting, Lin Feng remained the center of attention.

Wherever he sat or stood, people’s gazes naturally drifted toward him. It was not sothing forced and it simply happened.

His presence alone was enough to shift the focus of the entire hall, as though everything else beca secondary.

Several Ning Clan elders made repeated attempts to approach him throughout the banquet. Each one carried a different intention.

So ca purely to express respect, others to build a connection, and a few clearly sought to probe deeper into his origins.

Lin Feng, however, did not reject any of them outright.

He remained calm and composed, responding when necessary, nodding when appropriate, and allowing the conversations to proceed at a natural pace.

His deanor made it difficult for anyone to feel offended, even when he gave little actual information. One elder finally gathered enough courage to step forward again, lowering his voice as he spoke.

"Forgive if I am being too direct, Young Master Lin Feng. If my question is inappropriate, please feel free to disregard it. I am simply curious... which ancient lineage does Young Master belong to?"

Although his tone was careful and respectful, it was clear that many around them were listening closely.

Conversations nearby subtly quieted, and even those pretending not to care slowed their movents slightly.

The question was not casual. In the cultivation world, one’s lineage often determined status, resources, and potential alliances.

Knowing Lin Feng’s background was equivalent to understanding where his influence ca from. Lin Feng paused for only a mont before responding.

"An ancient lineage?" he repeated, his tone light. "The Lin Clan, of course." His answer was simple and unhurried.

And in truth, it was not incorrect. The Lin Clan had existed for countless generations, maintaining its heritage across ti. In that sense, it could certainly be considered an ancient clan.

However, those who heard it did not interpret it so plainly. The mont his words fell, several elders exchanged curious glances.

So nodded slowly, as if confirming their suspicions, while others looked even more thoughtful, their expressions deepening with speculation.

"The Lin Clan..." one elder murmured under his breath. "So it is a hidden ancient lineage after all..."

Another elder narrowed his eyes slightly. "No wonder his bearing is so extraordinary." The na alone seed to carry more weight in their minds than Lin Feng had intended.

Lin Feng, however, did not elaborate further. His expression remained calm, his gaze steady as he casually took a sip from his cup, as though the topic held little importance to him.

Yet as he did so, a faint shift occurred in his thoughts.

For a brief mont, his mind drifted away from the hall, away from the celebrations and the people around him. He rembered sothing he had been putting aside for a while.

Family.

Not the Lin Clan as an abstract concept, but the people tied to him in this world in a more direct way. The thought surfaced quietly, unforced, but persistent enough to linger.

"I should see them..." he mused internally, his eyes narrowing slightly in thought. "Once this school year is over." It was not a firm promise yet, but it was no longer sothing he could ignore indefinitely.

For now, however, he set the thought aside. The present remained in front of him.

Around him, the banquet continued. Music played, guests spoke, and the Ning Clan elders continued to openly reassess Lin Feng with every word he spoke and every silence he kept.

To them, he was becoming increasingly difficult to define. And that uncertainty only made him more dangerous in their eyes.

The conversations continued for a while longer, with laughter, clinking cups, and soft music filling the Ning Clan hall once again.

Yet beneath the surface of celebration, many still stole glances toward Lin Feng, quietly observing his every reaction and trying to read his thoughts.

However, about an hour later, everything shifted. It happened suddenly.

The laughter cut off mid-sentence. Conversations died in an instant. Even the sound of instrunts faltered as if the musicians themselves had instinctively sensed sothing had changed.

A heavy silence settled over the entire hall. All attention turned toward the entrance. Soone had arrived. But it was not the birthday celebrant. A woman stepped inside.

At first glance, she appeared calm and unassuming, yet the mont she fully entered the hall, it beca impossible to ignore her presence.

She was tall, with a perfectly balanced figure that carried both elegance and great beauty.
