"Every woman in the temple, please proceed imdiately to the Dao Teaching Platform. This matter is of utmost importance."

The senior monk’s voice spread like a rolling tide, carried by spiritual energy to every corner of the Grand Purity Temple.

It echoed through quiet courtyards, across ditation halls, into secluded chambers, and even through the deepest cultivation rooms. It was impossible not to notice.

Under normal circumstances, he would have handled this with far greater discretion. A matter of this magnitude, especially one involving the dignity of the sect, should never be announced so openly.

But there was no ti. The temple was simply too vast. Its disciples too nurous. And Lin Feng had made one thing very clear... he would not wait. He got a class to teach in the morning.

***

Across the temple grounds, movent began. In one chamber, a young female disciple slowly opened her eyes, her cultivation interrupted. Confusion flickered across her face.

"Did... Senior Monk Wang Peng just summon us?" In another courtyard, a group of disciples hurriedly stepped out of their rooms, adjusting their robes.

"At this hour?"

"Sothing must have happened." In a distant wing, older disciples exchanged wary looks.

"Calling only the won... this can’t be ordinary." Doors opened one after another. Footsteps echoed through stone corridors. Lanterns were lit. The once silent temple began to stir like a waking giant.

The won followed the command, making their way toward the Dao Teaching Platform. But curiosity did not belong to won alone. Male disciples began to follow as well.

"Let’s go take a look."

"There’s no way I’m missing this."

"If it’s serious enough for the senior monk to call everyone, we need to know."And so streams of people flowed through the temple like converging rivers, all heading toward a single destination.

The Dao Teaching Platform.

***

It did not take long. Within minutes, the massive platform began to fill. Then overflow.

Rows upon rows of disciples gathered, their figures stretching across the open space like an endless sea.

The soft glow of lanterns illuminated thousands of faces, each one carrying a different expression... confusion, curiosity, concern. Elders stood near the front, their brows slightly furrowed.

Inner disciples maintained their composure, though their eyes remained alert. Outer disciples whispered among themselves, unable to suppress their curiosity.

Even children had arrived... young boys and girls, so barely ten years old, clinging to each other as they looked around in uncertainty. The night air buzzed with low murmurs.

At a glance... There were at least 150,000 people gathered. And yet, this was still not the full strength of the Grand Purity Temple.

Many of their disciples were scattered across the continent and traveling through villages and cities, offering aid to the poor, protecting the weak, and upholding the ideals of righteousness the sect prided itself on.

For generations, the temple had stood as a symbol of justice. A beacon of purity. A sanctuary for those seeking a righteous path. And that was precisely why what was about to unfold felt so heavy.

High above the platform, three figures stood. The senior monk. Qin Ran. And Lin Feng.

From their vantage point, the sheer scale of the gathering was overwhelming.

A sea of disciples stretched as far as the eye could see, their collective presence forming a powerful aura that lingered in the air. The senior monk’s expression was solemn.

His hands were clasped behind his back, but there was tension in his posture. This was no small matter.

If Lin Feng’s words were true then sowhere within this massive gathering... hidden among these innocent face were victims. A horde of them.

Lin Feng’s gaze swept across the vast gathering below.

With so many disciples present, it was imdiately clear to him just how easily Fang Yuan had found his targets.

Among the sea of white-robed cultivators were countless young won... refined, disciplined, and untouched by the ugliness of the outside world. Beautiful. Chaste. Trusting. The perfect victims.

A faint, almost imperceptible sigh passed through Lin Feng’s mind. Then he spoke.

"I regret to inform you," his voice rang out calmly, "that Fang Yuan has deceived you all." But sothing strange happened.

Though he stood before over a hundred thousand people... only a select few heard his words.

"To those of you he has entangled," Lin Feng continued, his tone steady, "he took advantage of your affection... and now, your lives are quietly slipping away because of what he planted within you."

His voice reached only the won involved. To everyone else... there was silence. Confusion spread instantly across the platform.

"What is he doing?"

"Who is this man?"

"Why is he just standing there?"

"Is he even speaking?"

The majority of the disciples could see Lin Feng talking, but they couldn’t hear a single word. It was as if his voice had been erased from the air itself.

They began questioning one another, unease growing. But before anyone could press further, sothing changed. A single scream pierced the silence.

"NOOOOOOOOOO!" All eyes snapped toward the source. A young woman clutched her head, her face pale and twisted in denial.

"These are all lies! Fang Yuan would never do that to !" Another voice rose imdiately after.

"Who are you?! Why are you slandering my beloved?!"

Then another...

"I’m the one Fang Yuan loves the most!"

"No, that’s not true... it’s !"

"Fang Yuan loves the most!" One after another, won began to react. Their composure shattered. Their voices overlapped. Their emotions spiraled out of control. So cried. So scread.

So glared at Lin Feng with hatred. Others argued among themselves, each insisting they were the one Fang Yuan truly cared about. The orderly formation of the sect collapsed into chaos.

"What’s happening?!"

"Why are they acting like this?!"

"Did he do sothing to them?!"

The surrounding disciples were stunned, unable to comprehend what they were witnessing. Monts ago, everything had been calm. Now it was all unraveling.

The chaos spread like wildfire as more won lost control, their hidden emotions dragged into the open without warning. And in the center of it all, Lin Feng stood unmoved.

"It really is difficult to do the right thing," Lin Feng mused inwardly, watching the chaos unfold. "No matter how gently you try... it still ends up hurting everyone involved." He let out a quiet sigh.

Fate, it seed, sotis had a cruel way of treating those who were pure and sincere the worst.
