The change was small, yet to those watching, it felt like a thunderclap in the quiet room.

Another breath.

Then another.

Her chest began to rise and fall more steadily, color gradually returning to her pale complexion.

Finally, after a dozen breaths had passed, her eyelids fluttered.

And then...

They opened.

Her eyes, clear and bright, stared forward in confusion, as if she had just awakened from a long, endless dream.

There was innocence in them, untouched and pure, as she struggled to understand where she was... and what had happened.

"Lian’er!"

Elder Bai Yun’s voice trembled as he rushed forward without hesitation.

All composure shattered in that single mont as he reached his daughter and pulled her tightly into his embrace, as though afraid she might disappear if he let go.

"Lian’er... you’re awake... you’re finally awake..."

His voice cracked, thick with emotion.

"Little sister!"

Bai ili was no less shaken.

Her eyes were already brimming with tears as she hurried forward, joining the embrace without a second thought.

She wrapped her arms around both of them, her body trembling as soft sobs escaped her lips.

The three of them held each other tightly, their emotions spilling freely.

Tears of relief.

Tears of joy.

And in the center of it all, Bai Lian could only blink in confusion, her mind still catching up to the reality she had just stepped into.

***

Ten minutes later, the atmosphere in the Bai household had gradually settled into sothing warr and more lively.

What had earlier been chaos and anxiety now transford into an impromptu celebration.

Servants hurried about preparing food, while the courtyard was quickly arranged into a temporary banquet space.

News of Bai Lian’s recovery spread quickly, and before long, several elders from the Hidden Mist Sect arrived in person to offer their congratulations.

Their presence alone elevated the occasion, turning what was originally a private family matter into sothing far more significant.

When they heard how Lin Feng had treated Bai Lian, they couldn’t help but focus on the unusual details of his thod, especially the so-called ingredients he used.

The idea that soone could rely on ordinary vegetables as part of a healing process sounded almost absurd to them.

So of the younger disciples even exchanged doubtful glances, clearly struggling to reconcile what they were hearing with their understanding of dical and cultivation techniques.

However, their skepticism slowly faded when Elder Bai Yun personally confird everything.

He described the process in detail, emphasizing Lin Feng’s calm deanor and precise execution.

This old cultivator was not soone who exaggerated or told lies, and his reputation alone carried enough weight to silence most objections.

Once he spoke, even the most doubtful elders had no choice but to reconsider their assumptions.

anwhile, Lin Feng stood calmly amid the gathered crowd, as though the attention around him had nothing to do with him at all.

When questions inevitably turned toward Bai Lian’s condition, he finally spoke.

"It was not a curse, but sothing else. It’s connected to her special physique," Lin Feng said evenly.

His tone was calm, but firm enough that no one dared interrupt.

He did not elaborate further, nor did he seem inclined to entertain follow-up questions.

The explanation he gave was deliberately incomplete.

In truth, Lin Feng knew far more than he revealed.

Bai Lian possessed a rare Butterfly Dream Physique... an existence so uncommon that even within vast cultivation worlds, it would be considered a treasure beyond asure.

With such a body, her strength could grow endlessly through rest alone, her comprehension deepening with each cycle of sleep.

Breaking through realms would co to her as naturally as breathing, without the usual bottlenecks or struggles that others endured for decades.

Revealing sothing like that, however, would only invite unnecessary trouble.

At her current stage, such knowledge would make her a target for countless factions who would not hesitate to act in their own interest.

As for his healing thod, Lin Feng remained unconcerned about how others might perceive it.

The vegetables he had used were nothing more than tools... ordinary in essence, carrying no real value on their own.

What mattered was not the ingredients, but the precise acupuncture technique he had applied, guided by his control of qi and understanding of ridians.

To outsiders, it might look unorthodox, even laughable.

But to Lin Feng, it was simply another application of knowledge that most cultivators had long since forgotten or never understood in the first place.

Everyone was happy, and even Bai Yun’s wife ca out in tears of joy.

She had been cultivating earlier, but the mont she heard the news, she rushed out without hesitation, not even bothering to stabilize her breathing or adjust her aura.

The Bai family repeatedly urged Lin Feng to stay longer so they could properly thank him, prepare a banquet, and offer him gifts worthy of his help.

But Lin Feng politely declined.

Today was Monday, and he was already looking forward to going to Su Muyao’s house later to cook rice.

For him, ordinary things like cooking and sharing a al mattered far more than extravagant gratitude or grand celebrations.

He thanked them once more, his tone calm and composed, and was already about to leave when soone stepped forward and blocked his path.

"Young Master Lin Feng," Bai ili said.

She stood there with a rare seriousness in her expression, her usual pride and aloofness replaced with sothing more grounded... gratitude, and a hint of resolve.

"Since you healed my sister, I will also keep my promise," she continued.

"Once my affairs in this sect are settled, I will go to Clear Moon City."

Her words carried weight. For soone like Bai ili, who had always carried herself with arrogance and distance, such a promise was not given lightly.

It was clear she had already thought it through carefully.

Lin Feng looked at her for a mont, then smiled gently, as if what she had just said was unnecessary in the first place.

"You don’t need to do anything else, Miss Bai," he said softly.

"You already have your sister back. That alone is enough. The two of you should spend this ti together properly and catch up on what was lost."
