"What is this?" the silver haired woman asked coldly.

"A gift," the handso man answered.

"You should be honored. Very few people in this world are worthy of receiving it."

The woman’s killing intent surged violently. "You dare curse ?"

The man only laughed softly. "Curse?" He shook his head slowly. "No. A curse would be too rciful for the Chu Clan." His eyes turned ice-cold.

"It won’t be long before I personally watch the entire Chu Clan burn to the ground." The mont those words fell, the snake mark suddenly emitted a faint crimson glow.

The silver-haired woman’s pupils shrank. For a split second, she felt an indescribable chill crawl through her soul itself.

It was only an instant, yet it made even soone as powerful as her feel fear. Then, the man vanished. Silence descended across the mountain gates.

The surrounding Chu Clan elders stared blankly at the empty space where the man had stood monts ago, their hearts filled with disbelief.

A hidden elder finally appeared beside the silver-haired woman, his expression grave.

"Mistress..." he said slowly, "that man... who exactly is he?"

The silver-haired woman remained silent. Her eyes were still fixed on the black snake mark on the back of her hand. For the first ti in many years, unease appeared within her heart.

Because no matter what thod she used... the mark would not disappear.

***

The handso man chuckled softly as he turned around and stepped into the air.

Boom!

Space itself shattered beneath his feet. Layers of reality folded apart like fragile glass while violent spatial currents surged wildly around him.

Yet the man walked through them calmly with his hands behind his back, as though he were rely taking a leisurely stroll.

He did not summon a flying boat, nor did he ride upon any magical artifact. He simply crossed through space and ti directly with his own power.

Anyone who witnessed such a scene would imdiately understand one terrifying fact... his cultivation had already reached an unfathomable realm.

The surrounding mountains trembled from the pressure he released unintentionally. Cracks spread across the sky itself before slowly healing again after he passed.

Ding!

A strange tallic sound suddenly echoed through the void. Another figure appeared silently beside him. It was an old man. A very old man.

Ti had already bent his back, and his white hair flowed down to his waist like snow. Deep wrinkles covered his face, making him appear ancient beyond asure.

Yet despite his aged appearance, his eyes remained bright and terrifyingly sharp. They were the eyes of soone who had witnessed countless wars and buried endless enemies beneath his feet.

His hands rested calmly behind his back, giving him the bearing of an old grandmaster detached from worldly affairs.

However, the aura hidden within his body was vast like an endless ocean. Even the surrounding spatial storms instinctively avoided him.

"I do not think what you did was wise, Young Master," the old man said slowly. His voice carried the heaviness of age and experience. "The Chu Clan will definitely not let this matter rest. They will surely direct their anger toward our Ming Clan."

The handso young man rely smiled coldly.

"It does not matter, Old Xi." His eyes turned icy as he looked back toward the distant direction of the Chu Clan.

"Our Ming Clan is not so soft persimmon that anyone can casually bully." A terrifying killing intent quietly leaked from his body. The surrounding void imdiately distorted.

"The Chu Clan has already taken too much from ." His voice grew colder with every word. "I will absolutely not let them go." Hatred could clearly be heard within his tone.

One had to understand just how miserable his fate had once been. His identity had been erased. His mories had been sealed away. Even his very existence had nearly vanished from history.

For more than twenty thousand years, he had wandered through a lesser world like a lost soul.

He did not know who he was, where he ca from, or why he possessed talents far beyond ordinary cultivators.

He had spent countless years grasping at straws, searching for answers while surviving in a world too small for him. Only recently had he finally regained his mories.

Only recently did he rember his true na. His true origin. And the enemies who had destroyed everything he once had. The handso young master slowly clenched his fists.

Veins bulged faintly across the back of his hands as mories resurfaced within his mind. A woman smiling gently beneath a peach blossom tree.

A clan overflowing with glory and laughter. The Chu Clan had stolen twenty thousand years from him. Twenty thousand years of life. Twenty thousand years of opportunities.

Twenty thousand years that could never be recovered. How could he possibly let such hatred go? Old Xi silently watched the young man beside him and sighed inwardly.

Back then, when the young master suddenly disappeared, everyone believed he had died or trapped.

The Ming Clan had nearly gone mad searching for him across countless realms and ancient battlefields. Yet no one could find even the slightest trace of him.

Until recently.

The young master had returned unexpectedly. The clan had rejoiced at his return, but many things had already changed with the passage of ti.

Old friends were gone. Enemies had grown stronger. Even the so of the internal structure of the Ming Clan itself was no longer the sa as before.

Because of this, the clan head personally ordered Old Xi to accompany the young master at all tis. They could not allow the tragedy of the past to repeat itself ever again.

"Young Master," Old Xi said carefully after a mont of silence, "revenge clouds judgnt. The Chu Clan is still one of the oldest powers in the Azure Heaven Continent. Even our Ming Clan cannot act recklessly against them."

The handso man remained silent for several seconds. Then he suddenly laughed. It was a calm laugh, yet it carried a terrifying madness beneath it.

"Recklessly?" he muttered. "Old Xi... from the mont they erased my existence, this matter already beca irreconcilable." His eyes glowed faintly with cold light.

"I do not care how ancient the Chu Clan is."

"I do not care how powerful they have beco over these twenty thousand years."

"Since I have returned..." The surrounding space suddenly cracked violently around him.

"...then they will pay back every single thing they owe . First, I will get i’er back."
