Everyone turned to look at the man who had just arrived, and nearly all of them wore the sa expression... joy mixed with relief.

It was as though a heavy tension that had lingered in the air suddenly lted away the mont he stepped inside.

"What’s going on here?" Lin Feng asked calmly, his hands clasped behind his back, his sharp gaze sweeping over the group as if trying to piece together the scene from their reactions alone.

Before anyone could answer, hurried footsteps echoed from the doorway.

Liu Yang rushed in, slightly out of breath, his robes rumpled as if he had sprinted the entire way.

Without hesitation, he darted to the front and hastily pulled out a chair, settling himself in with forced composure.

He had arrived just in ti and that alone was enough to make him sigh inwardly in relief.

He absolutely did not want to appear tardy in front of his teacher, not even by a single breath.

"Teacher Lin Feng! Good morning! My na is Yuan Bao." Yuan Bao, the big fatty, was the first to react.

His eyes lit up as though he had just seen his savior descend from the heavens.

He spun around on the spot, cupped his fists, and bowed deeply, his bulky fra bending with surprising sincerity.

Then, without even giving anyone else a chance to speak, he launched into a passionate monologue.

"I was in the depths of despair, Teacher Lin Feng! Truly, the darkest abyss of my life! My heart was heavy, my soul was broken, and my future was nothing but endless loneliness!" Yuan Bao cried out dramatically.

"But then you appeared like the blazing sun that pierces through the clouds! Like the divine light that guides lost souls back to the righteous path! You gave hope when I had none! You were the only one who saw on that sad day."

He took a breath, his chest heaving slightly, then continued with unwavering determination.

"I asked around everywhere about you... every street, every alley, every teahouse and tavern! I chased rumors, followed whispers, and endured countless strange looks just to find you! And now... now I’m finally here!"

His eyes sparkled with devotion as he clenched his fists.

"I want to beco your student! Please, Teacher Lin Feng, save once more! Help cultivate! Help rise! Help change my fate! And most importantly..." He gestured dramatically toward the three won.

"Help get these three fairies to beco my wives!"

The room fell into a strange silence, broken only by Yuan Bao’s heavy breathing.

Yet beneath his exaggerated words and flamboyant performance, deep inside, Yuan Bao’s heart was far more humble than his speech suggested.

He was already prepared to bargain with fate, to lower his grand wishes, to accept far less than what he had boldly declared.

In truth, he only wanted one woman... just one... who would love him sincerely, without mockery or hidden motives, without caring for his wealth, status, or appearance.

For him, that alone would be the greatest gift in the world.

"This is not a place for catching fairies and goddesses, Yuan Bao," Lin Feng said calmly, though there was a faint hint of amusent in his eyes.

"If you’re truly serious about becoming my student, then you must learn to restrain these natural urges and put a firm rein on them. Cultivation is not a playground, and the path ahead is long, harsh, and filled with temptations. And you should know that having too many won will only make you draw your sword considerably slower."

He paused briefly, letting his words sink in before continuing, "As for your great obsession with finding a dao companion or a wife... I can help you with that as well. However, everything must be done in the proper order. Co here and sign this first so that you may officially beco my student."

With that, Lin Feng turned and walked toward the table, placing the docunt neatly on its surface.

Yuan Bao’s eyes lit up as if he had just been granted a divine opportunity.

He rushed over without a second thought, grabbed the brush, and finished signing in record ti, his strokes bold and decisive.

The mont he was done, he reached into his storage pouch and poured out a glittering pile of gold coins... ten thousand perfect pieces that glead brilliantly under the light.

To Yuan Bao, who ca from a wealthy clan, this sum was nothing more than loose change, but to anyone else, it would have been a fortune capable of buying entire estates.

Lin Feng carefully checked the docunt, his expression composed and professional.

He nodded in approval, but just as he was about to put it away, his eyes narrowed slightly.

"Yuan Bao, you wrote the wrong information about your age," Lin Feng remarked.

"But... but Teacher Lin Feng, that’s really the truth!" Yuan Bao exclaid, instantly flustered.

"It’s not wrong at all! I’m honestly only twenty years old today!"

He scratched his head awkwardly, torn between wanting to laugh and wanting to cry.

Ever since he was young, people had always mistaken him for being much older than his actual age.

His broad build, round face, and mature appearance had caused countless misunderstandings, and he had long since grown used to it... though it never stopped stinging.

Inside, Yuan Bao couldn’t help but sigh.

Is this one of the reasons why I still can’t find my true mate? he wondered bitterly. Do people see and think I’m so old uncle instead of a young man?

The more he thought about it, the more he felt a strange sense of enlightennt wash over him, as though he had finally uncovered a hidden root of his lifelong romantic misfortune.

Lin Feng was montarily surprised, but with just a single glance, he could tell that Yuan Bao was not lying.

The sincerity in the young man’s eyes and the awkwardness in his expression made it clear... this was simply another unfortunate misunderstanding born from appearances.
