Anairam Trench's Core Region
Everyone set up their own tents and got ready for bed after dinner. Considering that Su Jin had not yet awoken from his ditation, they could depart from this spot. The only option available to them is to spend one more night here. After dinner, the remaining hunters went to bed right away. They are all exhausted from the training they did before supper.
So they decided to spend the entire evening sleeping.
Even Mo Yuhan, who had just eaten, was exhausted and dozed off like a pig. It was up to Lu Ming to set up their tent and haul his sworn brother inside. However, he chose to stay by the bonfire and watch over Su Jin on the ocean below rather than go to sleep like the others. Guarding for the night was Lu Shang's other decision.
Thus, the brothers awkwardly sat next to the bonfire. After all, the Lu Ming of today is not like the Lu Ming of yesterday. The brothers had never made up in their past lifetis, which the present Lu Ming was aware of.
Lu Shang said, "Waiting here for your lover is alright. Active Volcano Island is not an easy place. What are you looking for in such a place?"
"Actually, I don't know exactly what it was. But maybe like Su Jin's Ocean Pearl, there is sothing in that zone that can greatly increase my ability to control fire. That voice was urging to get stronger, saying there is so kind of calamity about to befall all living things in this world. I myself couldn't understand why that voice kept on saying that. Isn't brother and brother Ye still here?
What kind of calamity do you guys can't fight against?" Lu Ming explained.
Lu Shang didn't speak right away and stared at his younger brother. Lu Ming noticed his elder brother's gaze and felt that sothing was wrong with it.
"Did I say sothing wrong?" Lu Ming asked.
Lu Shang said, "My body is a borrowed vessel of a God. It can be said that his restrictions are the sa as mine. A'Ming, I cannot fight with you to protect this world during the calamity. Not only , but your brother Leica, Ji Yoonjun, and Lord Ye as well. This is because we are forbidden to do so."
"What will happen if you help us?" Lu Ming asked. Suddenly, he felt his brother's soft eyes grow distant and turn away from him. God must have assud control and been inhabiting the body of his elder sibling.
Warden Lou answered his question. "We will be forced to leave abruptly, causing injuries in this vessel's soul. Unless we finish our mission, we cannot leave. Once that happens, your brother will fall into a coma and maybe not wake up. But as long as the world doesn't reject my soul and I leave after completing my mission, he will be okay. Leica and Ji Yoonjun are in the sa situation."
"What about Brother Ye, then?" Lu Ming asked.
Lu Shang said, "The Lord only listens to his wife. If you can convince his wife, he will make a move. But Lord Mo doesn't seem to care about anything aside from his husband and children, so don't expect too much. Moreover, Lord Mo has already helped Mo Yuhan increase his strength so he can be of help to you. I don't think he will choose to interfere more."
"But Doctor Hei said, Brother Ye made a move when that... What was that? Black Leifa? Didn't he help block that dangerous lightning? Isn't that the sa as getting involved?" Lu Ming asked.
Lu Shang said, "His wife asked him that this place can't be destroyed. After all, once that black lightning falls, the whole ocean will be gone and their sleeping children will be affected. If Young Lord Jingxia and Princess Anxia aren't around, they might not move at all. In their eyes, the lives of others don't an much."
Lu Ming had seen enough to know that the Ye family kept their distance from everyone else, even within their own clans. They never engaged with them directly. After eating dinner with the others, he even got the impression that Mo Xuejing was becoming icier and perhaps even more uncaring than he had been in the past. When they beca separated from them, sothing had to have happened.
It seed like we were witnessing the emotionless Mo Xuejing of the past, yet in the presence of Lord Ye and their kids, this Mo Xuejing was just human.
Lu Ming said, "I do not have the guts to ask him anyway. Sigh~ if this is the case then... Going to the Active Volcano Island is the only way. I should just increase my strength as much as I can."
"Don't worry. I will ask if I can use my vacation to accompany you and Xiao Jin with Leica on Active Volcano Island after this trip. He should allow to accompany you guys at least," Lu Shang said.
Lu Ming said, "Thank you."
He said nothing, not wanting to give away who was talking to him as his brother, or the one inside of him, or perhaps both. He decided to only express his appreciation to them. He felt that if he had searched for his brother in the past world, their connection might have been restored in that tiline, even though his brother in this universe was supportive of him.
Regrets cannot be treated with dication, unfortunately.
The brothers stayed up all night talking and watching over the group. Suddenly, in the dead of night, the entire central area of the Anairam Trench was bathed in light. It appeared as though a sun had erged from the ocean's depths.
"What's happening? How can there be such a strong light in the middle of the night!?" Lu Ming looked around and was about to look at the glowing thing directly; his eyes were covered by his elder brother.
Lu Shang said, "Don't look at it! Mortals can't look at gods directly!"
With the exception of the Ye family's tent, everyone had nearly woken up due to the abrupt burst of light. Ye Jieye enclosed their tent with a do of darkness so that his children and spouse might sleep without being awakened by the sudden light. Still, he erged outside the tent to see how things were going.
He was wearing a silk black nightgown similar to his wife's white one, and he was leaning against the do, staring blankly at the shining golden cocoon.
Argh~ Urk!
"My eyes. My eyes! Ahhh!"
"It hurts. It burns!"
"My eyes are lting! Save !"
"Don't look at it!" Leica shouted, warning the rest of the group, but it was already too late, as half of them had their eyes burned for trying to look at the god directly.
Before Lu Shang alerted them, a few hunters ventured to peek and discovered their eyes were burning. Fortunately, Doctor Guang had awakened as well and was nding their eyes.
The gods in their company were the only ones among them who could look up and witness the birth of God. Since Ji Yoonjun had never seen the birth of God before, he was particularly intrigued. Reborn and observing one is not the sa as the other, after all.
Leica noticed Ji Yoonjun's reaction and said, "First ti seeing one beco God?"
Ji Yoonjun nodded his head and said, "I imdiately ascended after I was reborn as one. I had no attachnt to my forr world after all. I took away everything that is mine when I ascended. So this is what it looks like for one to beco a god. Divine laws descend from the chaos, helping the birth of a god."
"Yes, no one knows where the chaos is. Maybe it ca from space or sowhere else, but the divine laws it gifted are what support one to be a god. This little one seems to be a sea god or a water god. Well, now he is a real god of the sea," Leica said.
Lu Shang saw that this sea god was also endowed with another divine commandnt. However, the Ancient God's heart was circulated instead of being delivered to the Sea God Lanyu. This indicates that two gods are being reborn simultaneously, with one lacking a vessel of his own.
"Two gods," the chief warden mumbles. "A Sea God and an Evil God."
"The evil one doesn't seem to have a body. To recreate one, the sea god must help him do so. The only way is to gather the materials to create a body. But he is both a good and an evil god; which system should he work for?" Ji Yoonjun said.
Ye Jieye saw into the God of the Sea's newborn soul. He can see the compatibility this deity possessed, and because of the Ancient deity's heart, Sea God Lanyu leans more toward light characteristics.
"He can join the God System. With how pure his qi is, joining the Netherworld will taint his soul. He wouldn't be able to bear to live in the Nether System. The one inside him is compatible though, but he doesn't have a body. Just send him to his brother. If he has questions, you can answer them.
If he wants to ascend to the upper realm, send him away. His connection to this world has been cut already. He no longer has the right to get involved in this star." Ye Jieye returned to his tent after saying these words. If the new god is compatible with his domain, he would have to check the background of the newly born evil god.
"Please leave the rest to us." Leica and the other two saluted the Lord God after saying this.
No re malevolent deity can set foot in his realm. It has to be utterly wicked and has attachnt to his or her forr life. For instance, a strong individual who beca bad in order to exact revenge on his family or a loved one. As an evil, his sins are pardonable.
However, the Lord deity of the Nether System would have dealt with an evil deity before it could reach Vearth if it had little self-control, was driven by a high bloodlust, and enjoyed killing. Su. He and his brother have constructed a universe that cannot accommodate a dangerous existence that could turn into a ticking ti bomb. Their children and relatives do, after all, reside on Earth.
It would be simpler because Sea God Lanyu is a benevolent god. He can be imbued with the divine laws via the God System. In addition, he is able to determine if he is qualified to join the God System. Only gods with strong attachnts to things like power or a goal they would labor toward their entire lives are eligible to work for the God System.
The God System's employnt requirents permit the objective of obtaining materials to reconstruct a person's body. This ans that, like Ji Yoonjun, this newly born deity can probably enter Vearth and serve the God System.
When the golden cocoon vanished entirely, Sea God Lanyu's appearance was drastically altered. At least his looks were no longer simple and more lovely than when he was a mortal. Not only has his aura changed significantly, but so has his presence. Behind him lies a halo of gold and a holy aura, and for so reason, his cultivation rose significantly as he ascended.
He was reborn as a great god similar to Ji Yoonjun rather than as a common god.
Sea God Lanyu's vision has taken a sharp turn. He can regulate his vision, making objects appear clearer even from a distance, and he can look into the entire star. This is the eye of God, and it belongs to God as a whole. He would also develop the capacity to see through objects. Mortals only possessed elental qi. They lacked a celestial aura.
His apostles were thinly veiled divine beings, barely deserving of note.
However, his eyes could not help but widen in disbelief as he looked down and saw Lu Shang and the others. He perceives a dense, strong holiness around Lu Shang and Leica. He senses that this man beside the couple is just as strong, if not stronger than him.
Sea God Lanyu's thoughts upon seeing Leica, Lu Shang, and Ji Yoonjun: 'As expected, there are Gods in this group. If not, then they wouldn't be able to help defeat him.'
But the divinity emanating from the black do was what scared him. It is a divine aura, yet it is pure blackness, not like his or anybody else's. That dark do exudes a powerful sense of oppression as well. Sea God Lanyu feels a chill and hears a deep, chilly voice that warns him of impending doom before he can respond.
{Rude one. Stop staring at this deity. Do you want to gouge your eyes? Hm?}
