The whole ancient forest was in chaos. Today was supposed to be the hatching day for the two eggs of their leader, the nine-tailed fox Huzi, but the ones looking after the nest had lost them. He only took a bathroom break for a few minutes, and when he returned, the two eggs were broken, but what was inside was gone.
Panicked, he shouted as he ran out of the hidden nest area.
"The two young masters are gone!!"
"Soone search the vicinity!"
"Oh no, watch out for cubs!"
"They shouldn’t have gone too far!"
"Report to the leader!"
The beastn race was chaotic when their leader’s cub was lost. They look around the area, trying to search for them. In reality, Hei Anjing in his black nine-tailed fox form and Ye Xiajie in his baby form with round white ears were hiding in the shadows.
This is Ye Xiajie’s doing. Hei Anjing, to be allowed to be hugged by his partner, can only shrink itself to look like a black fox cub while being embraced by his husband’s chubby, small arms.
Hei Anjing was snuggling at his husband’s face and kissing his chubby cheek full of cuteness.
"My love, you look so cute~ let kiss you a few more tis~"
As soon as they had hatched from the egg, Ye Xiajie grabbed his wife despite his small size. As it’s supposed to be, his Jing’er was born as an adult black nine-tailed fox, while Ye Xiajie was born as a beastman cub that can turn both animal and human. He accelerated his ti and at least allowed himself to take a human form, albeit too young and only a toddler, not even one year old.
Hei Anjing loves his wife’s toddler form, but it made his man uncomfortable, seeing him larger than he is, and he couldn’t hug himself because he can only transform into a small black fox instead. Only big enough for the toddler to hug him in his arms.
The Sovereign God of Void and Darkness complained, "This small body is so annoying. But if I force the ti too much to grow, the heavenly laws will punish . I can only transform to this extent."
"Well, at least that’s less milk drinking and diaper changing," the God of Destruction teasingly said.
Ye Xiajie said, "I don’t need such a thing. Where are Yue and Yang?"

This presence appeared out of nowhere and pulled the two of them out of the shadows.

After the caretaker of the hidden nest shouted that the young masters had disappeared after hatching, they imdiately reported to their leader, Huzi, about the situation. That ti, Huzi was having a eting with the elders of the race, planning what to do about the humans who still dared to trespass on their territory.
The annoyed elders complained:
"Those humans are no different from cockroaches. You will kill one, and another one will co. Even if you exterminate a group, another group will appear!"
"The Elder Shamans had created the walls; it was unknown how those humans were still able to pass through."
"Humans had lots of modern weapons unknown to us. Plus, we didn’t forbid beasts from entering. They’ve used this as a flaw in the barricade wall."
"That race has always been annoyingly smart."
"What should we do? Forbid the beasts from entering the forest as well?"
Huzi, the mythical nine-tailed fox, spoke. "By doing so, it ant making enemies of the beast race. We had nothing against them; they cannot be blocked from entering this forest."
"But this will make the entrance of those humans endless."
"We cannot let them steal our eggs again!"
"Isn’t that why we created the hidden nest? That place will prevent others from coming inside without permission. It can be considered safe," Huzi said.
However, after saying these words, the ssenger from the hidden nest ca over with bad news in urgency.
"Leader! There is an urgent ssage that this one has to report! It’s about the hidden nest and the leader’s eggs!" said the ssenger. Rawr
Huzi felt that this was bad news, and as expected, everyone was surprised by it.
"Leader! It’s gone. Your cubs are missing!"
The mont Huzi heard that his cubs were missing, he imdiately adjourned the current eting and found his cubs. He urgently took his leave as soon as he heard what had happened.

"The cubs are missing? Are you sure you didn’t see or hear anyone leaving or entering the nest?" Huzi asked.
"We are sure that no one has left the nest except for the caretaker who took off," answered the ssenger.
Huzi stood up, planning to head to the hidden nest and investigate the situation, even calling out for backup. After all, the ones that have gone missing are the only family of the current leader of the beastman race. Almost all of them had headed to the hidden nest.
Upon arriving at the hidden nest, Huzi investigated the whole area himself. The guards were trembling to see their leader personally co over to the broken eggshells and noticed that the hatching was complete. There were no traces that the egg was hard. Adding the fact that the guards of the nest and the caretaker saw no one leave the nest, Huzi was sure that the cubs hadn’t been in the vicinity.
He walks around the hidden nest trying to look for clues about the whereabouts of the two missing cubs. This ti, Huzi checked the area within the hidden nest and the vicinity of it. Huzi found no trace within the area except for the fact that the shadows within this area are denser and darker. Suddenly, the leader, as if finding sothing, went to the place with a darker shade of shadow and reached out his hand without thinking much.

Within the shadow realm...
The hand grabbed Ye Xiajie by his clothes’ back collar and pulled the two of them out of the shadow realm. Even for the sleepy Sovereign God of Void and Darkness, the two of them are fully awake now. The world suddenly turned bright compared to the interior of the shadow realm, which was full of darkness. The God of Destruction saw the person who had captured them. It is Huzi, the leader of the beast race.
The two cubs and Huzi looked at each other in surprise. Even the others who were in the surroundings didn’t expect that their leader would be able to pull out the missing children inside the shadow realm, which only he could control.
