Seeing his other half being beat up, Heri wanted to stand up but was suddenly unable to. Hei Anjing sat on his lap. It wasn’t that heavy, but it prevented Heri from standing up from his chair. If he wanted to stand up, he would need to carry two cubs which is impossible for his current state. Seeing the cubs act like this even Xie Yun, the Killer Pavilion’s master, was stunned.
Xie Yun said, "Heri, these cubs seem to want to see your partner beaten up."
"Uncle, don’t worry. Papa will not kill him," said the God of Destruction. "Your body is not good. You should return to the village with us. Your current state is not good for you to be emotional. Take a deep breath and calm down."
The smile on the Hei Anjing and the pair of innocent eyes falling on him, Maybe Heri instinctively cald down. In front of the cubs, all beastn would hold back their beastly side. He unconsciously followed the words of the cub and cald down. He saw that his brother-in-law was only beating his lover with superficial wounds that can easily be healed. Well Vega looks like he was beaten so badly, especially the black eye, making him look like a panda.
"Wife, save ~" Vega said.
When Mo Minkong was done with him, Vega looked groggy as he walked with a huge black eye on his face, making his elven beauty be forgotten. He went to his wife to complain but he couldn’t even hug him with two cubs staring at him like doe deers.
Xie Yun comnted, "Give up, bro. You can’t even beat the cubs."
"W-WIfe?" Vega, called by Hei Anjing, blocked with Ye Xiajie in his bear cub form.
The stupid elf stares at the teddy bear in front of him. He didn’t even recognize that the teddy bear is a beastman cub in his animal form.
He asked, "What is this? A teddy bear? Are you giving it to ?"
The other adults in the area looked at him with varying expressions. The Beast God looks at him like a fool. Xie Yun’s expression was half shock and disbelief as if asking him if he was for real. While Heri looked at him with helpless eyes as if he couldn’t do anything about his partner’s brain. Vega was bewildered by their expressions but his hand had already taken the teddy bear from the beautiful cub.
All of the sudden, a cute yet annoyed baby boy’s voice linger in his ears. "Pointed eared uncle, let go of !" Ye Xiajie had given him a bear cub punch.
Thus, making the black eye of the silly elf symtrical.
OUCH!
"Damn, this is a beastn cub as well? Not a stuffed toy!?" Elf Vega exclaid while covering the other eyes which now have another black eye.
Finally, the beast god who was hesitating to speak a word said, "Heri, you and this silly thing should move to the ancient forest. The situation between humans and beastn is not good right now. It can explode anyti. Moreover, your state is not good. For you to stay in the human city where humans are now discriminating against beastn, you might get attacked. The fact that this cafe is closed is for the sa reason isn’t it?"
Vega and Heri lowered their heads. The words of Mo Minkong are right. It is because Heri is a beastn that those who had lost their families in the last conflict between humans and beastn started targeting him. He wasn’t the only one. There were so other beastn who were forced to return from the human city to an ancient forest for the sa reason. However this event just intensified the hatred between races.
Heri can return to the ancient forest anyti. But will his husband and daughter be able to return to the human city once they leave. They might be taken as deserters and their outco will be no different from a traitor.
Hei Anjing said, "Uncle, you are going to die if you stay here. Not only that, this silly pointy eared uncle as well and your daughter will be orphaned."
"How did you know that we have a daughter?" Heri asked.
The God of Destruction used his ability to peek in the future to know what kind of ending this man will have. As expected, according to the plot one will know that he is beastn hiding in the human city and would be attacked by those who hate beastn. Heri will be killed and Vega will go insane killing everyone until he is put down by the current marshal, Long Tian. Their daughter, Haerin, becos an orphan adopted by the Long Clan due to their connection to her father, Vega.
Haerin knew that her father was killed by Long Tian. Her hatred for him had gone deeper enough for her to target Long Juedi. Unfortunately, Long Juedi had truly loved her and cared for her. That’s why despite of Haerin dragging him down, he never complained even if he was riddled with countless of wounds. In Haerin’s eyes, Long Juedi’s love was simply a way to repay what his father had done. In her heart, she believes that Long Juedi never truly loves him, that’s why she can be hurt regardless of anything.
It was only that one ti that she was on the verge of death that Long Juedi was willing to sacrifice his life to save him. Even when Long Juedi was dying all he asked of her was if she was okay. It was at that mont that Haerin truly believed that this man truly had her in his heart. Her ice cold heart starts to lt. Before Long Juedi dies, Haerin awakens the blessing of nature she got from her bloodline as an elf from Vega and also the ability to peek in the future from his other father, Hezi.
Long Juedi was saved and the relationship between them had beco as it was destined. To love one another and fight for the sake of the world they are in.
Hei Anjing, asked by Heri, said, "Why ask such an uncle? You are my uncle and my daddy’s biological brother. Do you think that foreseeing the future is exclusive for you~?"
All of a sudden, Hei Anjing transford into his ninetailed fox form. Born with three tails with a fur that is the shade of the night. The silver fox eyes were staring slyly at them. As he turns into his beast form, Ye Xiajie returns to his human form. This ti it was he who was carrying his beloved in his beast cub form.
Heri and the others were stunned.
"You can peek in the future?!" Xie Yun exclaid. "But I hear only unique ones within the ninetail fox bloodline can do so."
"I also heard that there will only be one prophet in every generation?" Vega said.
Hei Anjing said, "Just because history says only one doesn’t an that the future will only give the sa outco. The future had many possibilities. The fact that we appeared here right now ant that your future had changed as well."
"Just how far can you see in the future?" Heri asked.
The God of Destruction said, "Enough to make changes and get the future I wanted."
"If your strength alone isn’t enough," asked Heri.
Ye Xiajie said, "I am here to help him. Not only , everybody does. That’s why you should ask those who are beside you for help. Just you alone will never be enough."
It was only at this mont that Heri understood. A prophet might bear the fact of knowing the future events and the responsibility that cos from knowing it. However, if his power is not enough, asking help towards those whom he loves doesn’t seem to be unfair.
Heri couldn’t help but look at his husband and his tears fell as he hugged him, "Vega, I’m sorry. I was wrong."
"What is happening?" Vega was frowning as he couldn’t understand why his wife was apologizing at this mont.
"He wants to stay as he wants to die. Only by dying will his daughter get the ending she is destined to do so. However... In the process you have to die with him. He didn’t tell you and... You don’t mind, do you?" Hei Anjing said. "He chose not to fight the destined ending. For your daughter to reach her happy ending, the two of you need to die. At least that is what he thought."
Everyone, except Ye Xiajie who doesn’t care about the other side of his wife, were shocked with what they had just heard.
Mo Minkong, who knew about the existence of the Heavenly Laws, frowned. Though he didn’t expect that his youngest cub had the ability to foresee the future, he wasn’t that surprised. The Ninetailed Fox Beast is a mythical beast closest to divinity. They had the ability to foresee calamities and all.
"Jing’er, is this happy ending sothing the heavens had decided?" Mo Minkong asked.
The God of Destruction looked at his father and answered, "Yes. However, to break the destined fate is not impossible. It was just that it was very hard to do so. There are only two ways to do it. First is to cut off your karma in this world making the heavens unable to control you. This path is called ascension to godhood."
"What about the second way?" Xie Yun asked.
Hei Anjing asked, "Ask help for a god that is from the outside of this world. Only powerful gods can descend in the lower realm worlds and suppressed the Heavenly Laws."
