At the ancient forest...
Being stressed by an almost endless attack from the human race, the Lord Prophet forced the elder shaman to go to sleep. Though it is alright for their beastn race to not sleep for days, for a beastman like the prophet whose ability leans into his spirit, he is easy to feel tired. There is also the fact that he couldn’t fall after all, he is currently the highest ranking royal family mber who can lead the whole race. There are also other races under their protection so he shouldn’t collapse at least not yet.
However, the pressure of those on top was never easy to bear or else while those who usually call themselves emperor would be short lived compared to ordinary humans. This is the responsibility his elder brother had bare for him all this ti. After all, in the beastn race only those who awakened the ability to see the prophecy can lead them like how their mother had been. But compared to his elder brother, Hezi (Huzi), he is born with a weak body. Despite having the power to lead the clan, his body is too fragile making it hard for the other beastn to accept him. That’s why his brother took over, without any ability to foresee he controlled the tribe by overpowering everyone in it. So they wouldn’t have any problems with him standing as their leader.
He, Heri, actually couldn’t accept this and felt that his brother had stolen his authority so he had run away from him. Born fragile, he would have died outside. There is also one ti where he got lost to the territory of the elves. At that ti, he was only looking for a way to survive only to be saved by the person who was now his mate and husband.
Prophet Heri was taking a nap when he had once again opened his eyes to th white world with broken mirrors, the scene that appeared before him was the upheaval caused by the human marshal himself. He knew that his mortal body was dying and wanted to take the last cosmos stone hidden within the ancient forest to repair his body. For this sake alone he no longer cared about the consequences and took control over every human in the military compound to invade the ancient forest. It can be said with population alone humans had more than twice what the current beastn race have. Even though half of them were gone after the alliance city fall, their population compared to the other races was nurous.
Right now, the whole human race regardless of their willingness were commanded to take their weapons to fight to death by the Human Marshal, Gu Ying. He even gave a sinister order allowing the children to lead the fight. This is because he knew that the beastn’s weakness had always been children. Prophet Heri was terrified by the scene. To protect the human children a lot of his tribesn were killed.
Blood tears were strolling down from the eyes of the prophet. This scene was simply too hard to bear for the children loving race such as the beastn. He knew that even if he told the race about this future, they wouldn’t change their choice. For the sake of the children, they are definitely willing to give up their lives to save him and this ans he will fail to protect the tribe his brother left in his care.
Prophet Heri was glaring at the smiling figure of Marshal Gu Ying who seems to have seen through this space and ti and looked directly at prophet Heri’s eyes.
He mouthed towards him: {Prophet, can you even change this part of the future?}
Just as Prophet Heri was about to destroy the mirror it was flung away by the very sa god that saved him before. This is a man with silver eyes that seems similar to the eyes of his nephew who appeared at the mont before the world was completely destroyed. This is the God of Dreams and one of the children of the Sovereign God of Life and Death. His na is Mo Wanyi.
Mo Wanyi, the God of Dreams, is one of the children of Mo Baojun, who is also the uncle of the God of Destruction. This ans that God of Dreams is a cousin of Hei Anjing from the Mo Clan’s side.
He looks sleepy and even yawns after flinging away the dream mirror in front of Prophet Heri just now.
{You shouldn’t let yourself be overwheld. The future is the future because it could be changed. It might be fated but it wasn’t a permanent thing. Prophet Heri was stunned as he looked at the God before him and knew, "Heri of the Beastn race thanks the savior for saving this little one’s life!"
{Well~, it’s not like I can let soone with my cousin’s blessing die. I might get beaten up during the New year’s family banquet.} Murmured the God of Dreams.
He added, {Little one, don’t forget to use the blessing your whole race had received. That might only be useful for your race, but against sothing beyond ans, fighting the unreasonable with an unreasonable is the correct way~. Go back and wake up now. They are waiting for you. Well just for fun I will give you one gift. It can only be used once. Use it wisely~}
Prophet Heri was pushed out of the Dream Realm and woke up in reality. When he woke up he saw the elder shamans gathering around him worriedly. He was a bit confused as being exposed to the presence of a god would cause one to feel confusion.
"Lord Prophet!"
"The Prophet is awake! Inform the guardian."
"Lord Prophet, how are you feeling?"
Prophet Heri didn’t respond as if he was in a daze. When he lifted his right hand, he was surprised to see a white orb with countless stars in it. A voice echoes in his mind saying,
{This is a dream orb. It can drag a being to a dream realm and trap them there for a while. I set it in a broken nightmare world. As long as you took your target by surprise this would definitely hinder them for a few hours.}
Upon hearing the use of the Dream Orb, Prophet Heri grasped it as one of the chances to buy so ti for their race’s survival.
"Summon the Lord Commander!" Prophet Heri commanded.
It didn’t take long for the forr Elf King, Lord Vega to arrive. He was covered in blood by his enemies but he didn’t seem wounded badly except for so scratches. As soon as the couple saw each other they held each other’s hand.
Lord Guardian Vega said, "I’m here."
"I’ve seen the future. The villain, the human marshal, Gu Ying is dying. But because of this situation he would issue an all out war against us. This includes controlling the human children to fight."
Silence~
The silence descended in the room. The words the prophet had told them is no different from a bad news that would cause their whole tribe’s life. Who among the warriors were willing to kill children just because it was war?
"That damn monster! How can he do such a thing!?"
"Children would be fighting! Is it because they are our weakness?!"
Lord Prophet nodded his head and said, "Marshal Gu Ying knew that’s why he intended to use them against us as vanguards. Just so he can kill more of us and win this war."
"That crazy bastard!!!"
Lord Guardian Vega noticed that his wife seems to be calm as if he already has so kind of counterattack plan in mind. But there are so things that make him reluctant to speak up.
The forr elf king asked, "Wife, what is in your mind? Share it with us. We might find a way together."
"Those who are controlled. Is there a way to stop them from being controlled?" The Lord Prophet asked.
The Lord Guardian responded, "There is. As long as they remain unconscious the control over them would be gone. It would be restored once they are awake though."
When Prophet Heri heard about this, he seed to have gained hope.
"This is it! As long as the children were put to deep sleep and taken away with us, the other side would have no ans to threaten us!"
"But wife, this plan of saving the children will cost the lives of our people I..."
"No. It wouldn’t. I will activate the tribe’s blessing. This blessing will give all beastn temporary immortality. They wouldn’t die as long as I keep the blessing activated. Brother, we can win this!" Lord Prophet said with a smile.
He looked at the elder shamans who also knew about the blessing the two princes had given their tribe. Though it wasn’t as heavenly defying as instant regeneration upon returning back to life, it is indeed true that they wouldn’t easily die. It’s just that immortality had a ti limit and it only lasted longer with the blood sacrifice of the royal bloodline. But right now, the only royal blood is the fragile Prophet. Do they need to sacrifice their leader for the sake of survival?
