Bai Qiyin made an effort to quickly comprehend what Jin Baihua had just spoken by trying to feel the qi in his body and as expected it resulted in sothing worse. Then they overheard the Bai Lengshui Sect heir murmuring.
Bai Qiyin murmurs, “I can no longer cultivate. B-But why ? What... What did I do wrong? My family is dead and my sect is destroyed. Without my cultivation can I still be the heir? Can I still be worthy of being Brother Hua’s Dao Companion?”
He had tears streaming from his eyes and appeared to have given up all hope in the world. For Bai Qiyin, his cultivation has been a source of support throughout his life. It is a link to his beloved and the sole ans by which he may get back what his family had lost. However, now that he had even lost his cultivation, Bai Qiyin felt that nothing else was worth anything to him.
Yun Huaxua was frightened at seeing his sweetheart act in this manner. He was aware of his Yin’er’s ardent enthusiasm for cultivation. The First Young Master Yun, however, disagrees. He likes his Yin’er because he is himself, not because he is a cultivator.

Just consider the fact that Yun Huaxia would never age and he would instead beco a mortal, only being able to live to the age of 100 and aging slowly.
