Now reading: Chapter 101: Wherever He Is, There Are the Rules of Quincy M from I Married the President, a Romance novel by Yu Sisi.

Nancy Lockwood had intended to be more discreet, but seeing Claire Sinclair looking so miserable, she imdiately called out, "Claire Sinclair, Young Master Quincy invites you to join him for a al."

Hearing this, Claire Sinclair froze, her face filled with embarrassnt.

’How could Nancy say sothing like that in front of so many people? I don’t want anyone to know about my connection to Quincy Manor.’

The others stared at Claire Sinclair in utter astonishnt, and so made no effort to hide their envy.

Young Master Quincy had sent his personal bodyguard to invite Claire Sinclair to a al—not even Governor Lockwood received such treatnt!

Claire Sinclair hurried to the entrance, said nothing, and simply pulled Nancy Lockwood away.

Once they were out of the conference hall, Claire Sinclair finally said, "Nancy, what you said back there was too much. My colleagues are going to talk."

Nancy Lockwood was unconcerned. "People were going to find out sooner or later. You’d better get used to it."

"No, no, no. I think things are fine as they are. I want to learn more on my own. I don’t want to be like Phoebe Lockwood, who goes everywhere basking in her father’s glory, surrounded by a crowd of bootlickers. You can never grow that way."

"..." Nancy Lockwood was rendered speechless.

She finally understood what made Claire Sinclair so special to Young Master Quincy.

Claire Sinclair might seem timid, but deep down, she possessed the sa kind of spirit as Quinn.

Only a person like that was worthy of belonging to Quincy Manor. Her estimation of the girl was rising.

There was a dining area in the conference hall, and the food was prepared by Aridia’s most renowned master chefs. Each dish was ticulously planned, with dedicated staff overseeing quality to ensure everything was nutritious, delicious, and safe.

This was Claire Sinclair’s first ti dining in such a formal setting. The mont she reached the entrance, she was intimidated by the solemn and dignified atmosphere inside.

The restaurant was filled with high-ranking officials attending the conference. Each one possessed an extraordinary bearing, exuding a powerful aura that naturally inspired reverence.

These were all officials elected by the people. With a few exceptions, each was a highly respected public servant who had made great contributions to the nation.

Amidst the crowd, Claire Sinclair’s eyes imdiately fell on Adrian Quincy. He possessed a unique blend of dignity and elegance, with an innate, kingly aura. Like a monarch surrounded by his court, he was dazzling to behold.

Nancy Lockwood gestured for her to go ahead. "Claire Sinclair, go on. We’re just waiting for you."

Claire Sinclair walked over chanically.

At that table, the only empty seat was the one next to Adrian Quincy. The other seats were occupied by highly reputable officials whose faces were often on television.

Claire Sinclair hesitated, not daring to sit. Adrian Quincy turned to look at her and offered a sincere invitation. "Sit."

It was a gentle tone of voice, a side of him he had never shown in public before.

Overco with nervousness, Claire Sinclair didn’t notice the strange looks she was getting. Even after sitting down, she didn’t dare to look up at anyone.

Adrian Quincy suddenly spoke. "Everyone’s here. Let’s eat."

Everyone else, who hadn’t dared to touch their chopsticks, only picked them up after seeing Adrian Quincy do so. But no one dared to speak.

This was a rule of Quincy Manor: no noise was permitted during als. And wherever Adrian Quincy was, the rules of Quincy Manor applied. No one dared to defy them.

The dish that stopped in front of Claire Sinclair was a beautifully presented plate of hot and sour shredded potatoes.

Claire Sinclair didn’t like hot and sour shredded potatoes, but she didn’t dare rotate the table to reach for other dishes, so she simply ate a few mouthfuls of plain rice.

Then, Adrian Quincy’s chopsticks reached over and placed a tender piece of white fish in her bowl. He broke his own rule and spoke. "Don’t be nervous. Get whatever you’d like to eat."

Everyone was floored.

’Young Master Quincy spoke during a al!’

’Young Master Quincy just served a woman food!’
