Phoebe Lockwood noticed his gaze, and a nasty idea began to form. She deftly sent everyone else away, leaving only the man with the gold-rimd glasses.
"Boss Lynch, what are you looking at so intently?"
"Haha..." Boss Lynch laughed awkwardly. "It’s a bit embarrassing to say, but my wife passed away two years ago. I think about her all the ti. That young lady over there... she looks exactly like my wife did when she was young. It pains my heart to see her."
’Heh, as if that’s the truth.’
Phoebe Lockwood sneered inwardly. This old lecher was notoriously promiscuous. He kept countless mistresses, which drove his wife into a deep depression that led to her death two years ago.
She had seen photos of his wife. The woman was hideous and couldn’t compare to Claire Sinclair at all.
’That old bastard is definitely after that vixen face of hers.’
’That damn bitch, Claire Sinclair, daring to steal my spotlight. I’m not going to let her get away with this!’
Suppressing her disgust for Boss Lynch, Phoebe Lockwood put on a smile as pure as a lotus. "Boss Lynch, that’s my colleague, Claire Sinclair. I’m not very fond of her."
"Oh? And why is that?"
"Well..." Phoebe Lockwood paused for dramatic effect, then leaned in and whispered in his ear, "Her private life is a ss. I just can’t get along with her."
"Is that so? A girl like that is bad news!"
"Heh. Well, Boss Lynch, I have sothing to attend to, so if you’ll excuse ."
Her hint had been delivered. Phoebe Lockwood quickly found an excuse to leave.
Boss Lynch slowly turned to look at Claire Sinclair, who was still absorbed in her phone not far away. His mouth instantly went dry.

Claire Sinclair had just finished reading a news article when soone suddenly sat down next to her.
She instinctively turned her head to look. It was a middle-aged man in a black suit with a balding crown, wearing gold-rimd glasses. His gaze was sowhat sleazy.
Boss Lynch was also looking at her. The mont she looked over, he imdiately said, "Young lady, aren’t you bored all by yourself here?"
’None of your damn business.’
Claire Sinclair ignored him and went back to her phone.
Boss Lynch wasn’t bothered by the beauty’s cold shoulder. He calmly took a business card from his suit pocket, placed it on the table, and slid it toward Claire Sinclair.
"Young lady, this is my business card. I’m nothing special, just opened a few small companies. My annual inco is only a few tens of millions."
He thought saying this would surely get the beauty’s attention, but Claire Sinclair still paid him no mind.
Undeterred, Boss Lynch pressed on. "Young lady, you like to read the news, too?"
Claire Sinclair, now thoroughly annoyed, looked up and glared at him. She tried her best to maintain a polite, ladylike deanor. "Sir, could you please not bother ?"
"Oh, my apologies." Boss Lynch feigned an apology, then imdiately grabbed Claire Sinclair’s hand. "I’m rich. Do you want to be with ?"
"You psycho, let go!" Claire Sinclair cursed, yanking her hand back in disgust. As if she had touched shit, she shook her hand vigorously.
Boss Lynch’s face instantly darkened. He began to lecture her in a grating, bureaucratic tone, "Young lady, do you know how impolite you’re being? I was speaking to you out of kindness, and this is how you treat . This is wrong of you."
Claire Sinclair stared at his sleazy, disgusting old face as if he were an idiot. She wished she could slap him, but unfortunately, her arm wasn’t that long.
At that mont, there was no one to help her out of this predicant. She could only force herself to face it bravely.
’Claire, don’t be a coward!’
Mustering courage from who-knows-where, Claire Sinclair boldly retorted, "You damn pervert! If you harass again, I’m going to scream for help!"
