Claire Sinclair jumped. Seeing Phoebe Lockwood in the mirror, her expression instantly soured. "What do you want?"
Phoebe Lockwood’s gaze was fixed on the black suit Claire was wearing. "If I recall correctly, this suit belongs to Young Master Quincy, doesn’t it?"
Claire scoffed. "Is that any of your business?"
A spark of jealousy ignited in Phoebe Lockwood’s eyes as she demanded, "What is your relationship with Young Master Quincy?"
The accusatory tone grated on Claire Sinclair’s nerves, so she shot back in the sa manner, "What do you *want* our relationship to be?"
Phoebe Lockwood dug her nails into her palms, desperately suppressing the rage and jealousy that threatened to make her lash out.
’That damn bitch. So what if she landed so worthless contract? Does she think she’s gone from rags to riches?’

These thoughts restored Phoebe Lockwood’s confidence. Her contempt for Claire Sinclair deepened, and her expression beca even more arrogant and haughty.
"Let tell you sothing. Young Master Quincy isn’t soone a commoner like you, with no status or background, can just get involved with. He’s destined to be a king, and the woman worthy of him must be his equal. You’d better know your place and stay far away from him, to save yourself the humiliation later."
"You make it sound like it would be your turn if I stayed away. Mr. Quincy isn’t interested in you either, is he?"
"You!" Phoebe Lockwood was furious, but then an idea struck her, and she laughed out loud. "Heh... With just one phone call, I can et Young Master Quincy anyti I want. Can you?"
’Yeah, right.’
’I could make Adrian Quincy show up right now with a single call. Can *she*?’
Claire Sinclair retorted in her head but kept the words to herself.
Until she could stand on her own two feet, she refused to use his reputation and status to intimidate people. Only when she was strong enough in her own right would she be qualified to stand as his equal. Otherwise, even if she told everyone she was Mrs. Quincy, hardly anyone would believe her.
"Sure, you can. You’re so amazing. You’re invincible. Heh..." With a cryptic smile, Claire Sinclair turned to leave.
Phoebe Lockwood followed her out, her tone commanding. "Claire Sinclair, take off Young Master Quincy’s suit and give it to . I’ll return it to him!"
That was the last straw. Claire Sinclair finally snapped, whipping around to confront her.
"Arrogance is a disease, Phoebe Lockwood. The ntal hospital is always open for people like you. If you’re sick, go get treatnt. Stop bothering , will you?"
"You... you’re calling crazy? You’re the one who’s crazy!" Phoebe Lockwood flew into a rage and lunged for the suit. "Give the suit!"
Claire Sinclair took a step back, only to bump into a human wall without warning.
When she saw who it was, Phoebe Lockwood was utterly stunned.
