Claire Sinclair clutched her stinging, burning face, watching helplessly as Adrian Quincy desperately held back his frantic mother. She watched his father trying in vain to persuade her from the side, and she watched Yara Quincy’s indifferent yet smug smile. Her heart sank deeper and deeper into despair.

In the end, she said nothing, simply turned, and ran.

Seeing his wife leave in tears, Adrian Quincy turned to chase after her.

But Mrs. Quincy grabbed his arm. "Adrian, if you dare go after her, I’ll disown you! It’s or that vixen. Today, you choose!"
