Claire Sinclair was a bit baffled. She hated hearing such vague talk—it was like saying nothing at all.
Arthur Lockwood smiled faintly. "It’s simple, really. Just make sure Little Prince Hale has a pleasant trip. You young people are full of ideas. You can show him around, let him see the beautiful sights of Aethelgard, or have him try so local delicacies. Can you handle that?"
"Yes!"
’When it cos to wining and dining, anyone can do that.’
’This is way too easy...’
Arthur Lockwood nodded in satisfaction. "Little Prince Hale is traveling incognito, so this matter must not be publicized. Go to the airport to pick him up at nine o’clock tomorrow morning."
"What? I have to pick him up from the airport, too?"
"Little Prince Hale wanted to experience traveling in economy class like a commoner, so he secretly boarded a comrcial flight. His private jet will arrive two hours later. That’s when Governor Lockwood and his daughter will go to the airport."
Claire Sinclair was getting dizzy from his explanation. "Mr. President, if I’m picking up Little Prince Hale, what are Governor Lockwood and his daughter going to be receiving?"
"You’re eting the person; they’re eting the plane. This is for Little Prince Hale’s safety. I will have n protecting you discreetly, so you don’t need to worry about anything else."
"Alright, I understand."
Claire Sinclair suppressed a laugh.
’Just this afternoon, Phoebe Lockwood was proudly boasting about how she was going to receive Little Prince Hale. Turns out, she’ll just be eting his empty private jet. I wonder how she’ll react.’
’Hahaha... This is hilarious.’
After bidding the president farewell, Claire Sinclair took a car back to her hotel.
’She wasn’t entirely thrilled about it, but since she’d given the president her word, she had to do an outstanding job.’
’Phoebe Lockwood had ntioned that Little Prince Hale was a sports enthusiast, and the president said the mission was to show him a good ti. So... I’ll just wear sothing casual tomorrow.’
...
「The next day.」
Claire Sinclair arrived at the airport on ti. She stood at the arrivals gate, patiently waiting for flight H5525.
The flight was delayed. The arrival announcent didn’t appear for another half an hour.
Claire Sinclair focused her full attention on the gate, craning her neck to get a better view.
Before leaving, she had spoken with The Presidential Palace. Little Prince Hale would be wearing a face mask, and the code involved the sign she was holding, which read: "A True Delight."
The plan was simple: if soone saw her sign and recited the full phrase, "Is it not a delight to have friends coming from afar?" in a foreign accent, that would be Little Prince Hale.
Passengers began to stream out of the arrivals gate, but she didn’t see any n wearing a face mask.
Just as the last of the passengers seed to be trickling through, Claire Sinclair felt a pang of disappointnt. ’These probably aren’t the passengers from his flight,’ she guessed.
Just as she was feeling dejected, a dark figure suddenly appeared before her, blocking her view.
Claire Sinclair slowly looked up and t a pair of distinctly Western, deep blue eyes. They were captivating and held a faint glimr of joy.
He wasn’t carrying anything—not even a phone, let alone any luggage.
’He really is traveling incognito...’
Little Prince Hale stared intently at the girl’s pretty face, his gaze complex—a mixture of sorrow and joy.
He could tell with a single glance that she wasn’t the woman from his mories, but this face... it was one he would never forget.
"Is it not a delight to have friends coming from afar? Is it you, beautiful miss?"
’Just as expected, he spoke with a thick accent. It was far from perfect, but I could just about make out what he was saying.’
Claire Sinclair replied politely, "I am Claire Sinclair, Your Highness Prince Hale. Welco to Aridia."
After speaking, she offered her hand in a formal gesture of welco.
