Now reading: Chapter 3: Her Sister’s Last Wish from I Married the President, a Romance novel by Yu Sisi.

’Oh crap, this is no joke!’

Claire Sinclair shrank back, ready to make a run for it.

Before she could even turn, the man shot out a long, slender arm and grabbed her by the back of her collar.

Caught red-handed, she didn’t dare move another inch.

"O-Okay, Mr. Quincy." The staff mber dazedly took out two forms, her eyes glued to his drop-dead gorgeous face.

Adrian Quincy took the papers and handed one to Claire Sinclair. "Don’t waste my ti. Fill this out now."

Claire Sinclair stood her ground, refusing to take the form. She stated firmly, "Mr. Quincy, I am not my sister, Quinn Sinclair. Let make this clear: my sister is dead. I’m her younger sister, Claire Sinclair."

The words had barely left her mouth when the man placed a slightly yellowed letter in front of her.

"You have one minute to read it and thirty seconds to decide."

"What is this?"

Claire Sinclair picked up the letter. It was handwritten.

’This is my sister’s handwriting!’

Recognizing her sister’s script, Claire Sinclair eagerly read the letter to the end.

By the ti she finished, she was filled with a swirl of conflicting emotions.

The letter was from her sister to Adrian Quincy. It didn’t say a single word about her feelings for him; instead, it was all about how she couldn’t stop worrying about her little sister.

The final paragraph was her sister’s last wish.

Her sister wanted Adrian Quincy to marry her and take care of her for the rest of her life...

Claire Sinclair found her sister’s last wish absurd. ’She’s already gone, so what gives her the right to push onto a man I don’t even know?’

Heh...

Claire Sinclair refused with a smile. "Mr. Quincy, I refuse to marry you."

Adrian Quincy’s cold eyes narrowed, and his tone left no room for argunt. "You can refuse, but I must marry you. It was your sister’s wish."

Claire Sinclair laughed, amused. "Don’t you find that a little contradictory, Mr. Quincy?"

Adrian Quincy explained with strained patience, "You can divorce right after we’re married. But I can’t break my promise to your sister."

Claire Sinclair had always known how deeply this man loved her sister; Quinn had often ntioned him in her letters.

’Since it was my sister’s wish, I might as well be kind for once and help him fulfill it.’

’Besides, I’m already at the marriage registration office. It’s not like I have to worry about him running off... ’

With that thought, Claire Sinclair said graciously, "In that case, I can agree to that."

"Then sign," Adrian Quincy said, and began signing his own na.

Claire Sinclair glanced over the form and began to thodically fill in her information.

She was completely oblivious to the bodyguards standing behind her, who were all stifling their laughter with peculiar expressions on their faces.

After Claire Sinclair signed her na, the physical examination was skipped entirely. Not long after their official photo was taken, a staff mber brought out two little red books.

Adrian Quincy shoved one of the booklets into Claire Sinclair’s hands. "Hold on to this. You’re coming with to et soone."

Claire Sinclair raised an eyebrow. "Mr. Quincy, didn’t you say we’d get divorced right after? What are you trying to do?"

Adrian Quincy’s voice was low. "We’ll discuss the divorce after you’ve t this person. Let’s go."

With that, he turned and walked away.

Claire Sinclair stared at the man’s dashing back, her eyes filled with suspicion. But then she thought about how good he had been to her sister. ’He wouldn’t lie to , would he?’

’Probably not...’

Claire Sinclair decided to see her good deed through to the end and obediently got into Adrian Quincy’s private car.

The car drove off.

Adrian Quincy stared straight ahead, silent and lost in thought.

Claire Sinclair couldn’t resist asking, "Mr. Quincy, who are you taking to see?"

His thin lips parted slightly. "You’ll understand when we get there."
