The public can never get enough of celebrity gossip.

After the video was posted, social dia blew up, with users flooding Yvonne Linden’s page demanding an explanation.

Throughout it all, Yvonne Linden remained completely silent.

However, just as the public was reeling in confusion, the star actor Damian Walton finally released a statent through his studio—

[Yvonne Linden and I were never legally married, so the cheating allegations are baseless. The reporter with the surna ’S’ is my own sister, Ingrid Sterling. Ingrid took our mother’s surna and has a new family. I remained silent to protect her, but Yvonne Linden’s increasingly outrageous publicity stunts have beco unbearable, so I am stepping forward to set the record straight.

This incident has shown Yvonne Linden’s true colors, and we have since broken up. I also want to sincerely apologize to Miss Sinclair for all the trouble this has caused. I hope everyone can choose to be kind and that we can all be free from cyberbullying.]

With the man at the center of the storm finally speaking out, the full truth ca to light.

Claire Sinclair’s na was finally cleared, but she couldn’t bring herself to be happy.

’It felt like sothing was missing from her life.’

’Passion? Motivation?’

’So boring. Utterly boring.’

Claire Sinclair rested her head on her desk, her eyes vacant and lost.

’Whatever.’

’Life had to go on, with or without him. She’d just live the way she always had.’

...

「Three days later.」

The Ministry of Culture published the list of this year’s newest recipients of press cards on its official website and social dia.

Her colleagues all ca in early that day. The Ministry of Culture had always released the list at 9:00 AM sharp in previous years, and everyone was eager to boot up their computers and see if their na was on it.

Claire Sinclair rembered what Phoebe Lockwood had said to her a while back.

’The final evaluation is based on a reporter’s moral character,’ she recalled. ’After being mired in that scandal for so long, there’s no way I’m getting a press card.’

With that in mind, Claire Sinclair felt nothing. She couldn’t even be bothered to check the list.

’Just take each day as it cos. Just muddle through.’

anwhile, a smirk she found utterly charming played on Phoebe Lockwood’s lips. She calmly turned on her computer and leisurely navigated to the Ministry of Culture’s official website.

She had already pulled all the necessary strings at the Ministry. The single spot allocated to Astoria Daily this year was as good as hers.

She opened the list. She finished the first page—her na wasn’t there.

She went to the second page. After reading through it, her na was still missing.

The third page, the fourth... There were only five pages in total.

’Her na had to be on the fifth page!’

Just then, a colleague cried out in surprise, "Whoa, Claire Sinclair, you made the list!"

"Wow, I see it too! Claire Sinclair, congratulations!"

"That’s incredible, Claire Sinclair! How on earth did you pass the final evaluation?"

Claire Sinclair was completely baffled. "Are you sure you’re not looking at a fake list? There’s no way I could have passed."

"See for yourself! Go on, look!"

"Yeah, yeah, go check it out!"

Only then did Claire Sinclair open the Ministry of Culture’s website. Sure enough, there was her na.

’This has to be fake, right? I didn’t even take the final assessnt. How could my na be on the list?’

Phoebe Lockwood scrolled through the five-page list at least seven or eight tis but still couldn’t find her na. Fury welled up inside her. When she saw the innocent look on Claire Sinclair’s face, that fury instantly morphed into jealousy.

’That damn bitch! What right does she have to take my spot?’

Unwilling to accept this, Phoebe Lockwood stord over to Claire Sinclair and demanded sharply, "Claire Sinclair, did you get Quincy Manor to pull so strings for you?"

Claire Sinclair stared at her as if she were an idiot. "My dad isn’t the governor. Who’s going to pull strings for ?"
