Moth paused, didn’t need to say any more for Hye to grasp the hints and real aning behind his words.

After the tough turmoil the Hescos empire and holand suffered, the Hescos leaders knew they couldn’t put their full trust into their kin. Especially when their setbacks in the Outer Battlefield ca at the cost of the Toranks’ rise.

It looked more suspicious the more Hye thought about it.

And he could guess the real reason behind the Hescos Elder’s visit to the Outer Battlefield.

"Shall we expect trouble then?" Hye asked, while looking around. The Eastern Wing wasn’t actually a wing; it was more like a lightly fortified military camp.

Unlike the high walls and towering defences the zone enjoyed, the walls surrounding the wing were short and thin. The defences were scarce, almost filled with gaps more than defences.

No matter how Hye saw it, this place was more like a death trap than a place to rest and live in.

"The Eastern Wing isn’t the place for us to stay at," Moth confird Hye’s doubts, "this place is ant for short-term stay, ant for casual guests. As for soone of my status, this wing isn’t the right one to stay at. Not to ntion it’s not suitable to defend against any attacks."

"You speak as if you expect a fight tonight," Hye evilly smirked, "but this isn’t a problem. Even if our forces are divided, I left soone capable back there."

" too," Moth shared the sa arrangent as Hye, "if we expect a fight, then it should happen shortly. We just arrived from a long travel, and sothing tells the Toranks’ move wasn’t coincidental at all."

Hye recalled how things escalated since their arrival. It was clear that the Toranks were well prepared for them to arrive here. And now he knew the reason behind this.

It was, again, a treason. It was, again, a backstab from one of the Hescos towards their Elders and upper leaders. And it was, again, a treacherous act from the Toranks.

Everything looked funnily familiar to Hye, who wasn’t in the slightest agitated or troubled by any of that. If any, he was overly excited. And that was a proper reason.

Since they travelled all this distance, the faraway stone pillar that appeared vaguely from a distance when they arrived beca much clearer now. There were lots of nas there, lots of missions and tasks, and rewards.

One of the highest grade tasks was for killing a certain number of enemies in your first week here. Hye noticed the task didn’t differentiate between killing races from the sa universe he ca from or the other universe.

When he asked, Moth explained that this monolith wasn’t created by the system. It was controlled by whatever controlled the Outer Battlefield. So called it a higher power, others called it a god. But to Hye, it was a glaring reason behind why their side was losing this war.

There was such an enticing mission to fight among themselves instead of directing all efforts to fight their enemies.

A single warning against killing people from your universe was enough to change the entire situation. Realising this made Hye question the true allegiance and hidden intent of the power behind this monolith and the tasks issued there.

The highest tasks included establishing a base in the Outer Battlefield, clearing a zone, and expanding the universe’s base area beyond its current limit.

Doing any of these would grant the person a title: a Prodigy. Per Moth’s words, there was only a limited number of Prodigies in the history of their universe in the Outer Battlefield.

And Hye wanted to beco one of them.

But first, he needed to face what was coming in a few hours and see what he could do from there.

Moth was right, this wing was the worst to consider when trying a defensive battle. Just as Hye gave Lily the order to arrange their forces over the walls, preparing for a fight, it beca super clear that trying to defend this wing would be a futile attempt.

It wasn’t just the problem of low-height walls; there weren’t enough basic defences that would stop any incoming army. Even when Hye searched his inventory for any good weapons to use, he found little of value.

The sa was for Moth and the Hescos. It was clear that the Hescos never planned to arm up themselves with defensive weapons, and depended entirely on their colossal base in the Outer Battlefield in such regard.

But that didn’t stop Hye.

"We need to pivot," Hye didn’t like how things looked. He hated fighting a losing battle, "let’s use what we have, take out the ships."

Out of the blue, his warriors started taking out the ships they had taken back before. The Outer Battlefield wasn’t a place for the ships, as they would only hover a few dozen tres off the ground. But to Hye, this was enough to innovate and deploy these ships for the upcoming battle.

Seeing him take out all of his fleet’s ships made Moth inwardly question his plans at first. But watching the ships getting in line around the walls, lining up a huge part of the Easter Wing, Moth realised what Hye wanted to do.

Using the ships up front as the frontline of their zone was quite bizarre. But Moth could tell that using the ship’s cannons and shields would provide strong support to their side.

Not to ntion the ships that ca from the other universe and Hye deployed as well.

Without any hesitation, Moth gave the order to mimic what the humans were doing. In the next couple hours, lots of movents happened, and the entire wing transford to look more like a floating fortress in the space, surrounded by layers of different sized dships.

The Hescos didn’t have the other universe ships like Hye, so they decided to deploy the big flagships at the forefront. Moth wanted to make the best use of their sturdy shields, big cannons, and also their big sizes to attract fire from any incoming enemies. Then the main killing players were the mid-sized ships. As for the small ships, he intended to send them to infiltrate the enemy’s ranks and cause havoc there.
