"With a few tweaks here and there, I guess that would be usable..." with his head flashing back to how destructive the mistake he previously committed dealt not only to his opponents but also to himself, Novus couldn’t help but shiver in terror, the pain he had to endure as a consequence of that experint sothing that he never wants to go through again.

What even he himself finds conflicting is the fact that despite being wary of experiencing that sa level of pain again, the potential he saw on that catastrophic experintation drives him to try this a few more tis before giving up, all in the hopes of creating sothing far more powerful than all of his arsenal before.

It has been a couple of hours since he was completely turned into a human charcoal by that remote fireball that he attempted to pull off, his confidence from pulling off one improvised mana-related offensive and defensive ans one after another, making him think that he can violate one of the mage’s greatest fundantals.

No matter what level of strength and wisdom a mage attains, it is their body that connects their mind to the mana around them, hence why stable magic requires physical contact with the outside realm, as the body serves as the corridor between the mystic of mana and the mind.

The first rule taught to them by their first ever professor, the mont they start their ti in the academy, a rule, no, a natural law built upon the tragic experience of many in the past, brave, arrogant, and even honorable souls that dare to defy logic and progress magic as a whole.

And just like these predecessors who ended up in tragedy, daring to go against this law, Novus’ experience should’ve brought him to the brink, if not directly to the embrace of death, only being kept alive by his bodily instinct to defend himself, as well as the talent that made him practically impervious to death itself.

Perhaps it is because he already had his first experience, and he is well aware that he can survive it should it happen again, but instincts dictate to this young man that he must continue on attempting to develop this thod, as if he manages to get it under his control, the amount of devastation it brings will be enough for him to fight against opponents of higher levels than him.

The process will be easier said than done, though, as he is well aware that had it not been for the fact that he braced himself for impact, no, had it not been for him being lucky enough to pull this defense quickly, he would not only be charred black by that explosion, but possibly annihilate his body completely as well.

And recalling the punishnt system of death in the Evolution Domain, he knows he won’t be getting away with a simple one-day restriction from that kind of damage.

[It is possible to die within the Evolution Domain. At death, the user will be transferred back to their world and will have restricted access from the Evolution Domain. The duration of the restriction is completely dependent on the severity of death that the system user experienced.]

"I guess this really helps as well..." staring at another part of the system display, he mutters to himself as it is only now that he has realized he was not paying enough attention to this resource before, making him blind to the great utility it can provide.

[Immortal Energy: 2.7/152.7]

The recovery of his body from that certain death experience should’ve taken longer than just a couple of hours, but due to the existence of Immortal Energy, the process that should’ve taken dozens of hours, if not days at end, was cut into a significantly shorter wait, giving the young man just enough ti to gather his thought and start analyzing what went wrong with his little experint.

Of course, it won’t be an easy task, and the young man knows that any mishap during the experintation regarding this will be t with a heavy punishnt that will deprive him of access to this greatest assistance to his growth, hence why he decided to prepare all that he will need first in order to have a greater chance at making this potential technique work.

"I should hunt first while Immortal Energy recovers," he mutters as he closes the system’s display screen, moving in a random direction where he feels a sign of life that is all too familiar to him, intending to grab as much benefit as he can while making sure that he never lets his guard down, waiting for that phantom-like opponent to appear.

’Sooner or later, I’ll definitely settle scores with whatever that is...’ he added in his mind as he dashes towards the group of Amber Sli that he found, mana swirling and converging on top of his palm as he creates fireballs to smash onto his opponents, taking his ti not only to hone his battle awareness, but also to improve his control over mana as well.

Fight continues within the vast green fields of the Verdant Expanse, a young man rushing through each sli group he senses and using the fights to hone himself, his sense getting sharper as he continues to fight, his motion getting faster and more precise as he gradually learns how to use his body more efficiently bit by bit.

With an Amber Sli dashing towards him with its signature pouncing attack, this young man smiles as if he will never get tired of it, arrogance, no confidence apparent in his eyes as instead of the usual, where he will avoid this attack and take advantage of the opening coming from the missed attack, he decided to face it head on, putting his mastery of body reinforcent and his newfound strength to test.

There is a certain satisfaction into it when a person cracks the shell of a nut open, and such satisfaction is analogous to the one the young man is feeling as he uses one of his arms to block the Amber Sli’s attack, and imbuing his other one with mana to enhance its strength, sending it in a fast, deadly punch that smashes past the Amber Sli’s fortified outer shell.

Just the previous day, he fought against these hulking slis utilizing their own strength and turning it into their weakness, abusing internal damage to kill them, but now, with the growth of his strength brought about by the refinent of the resources he had previously gathered, things have beco totally different for him.

For one, this show of strength reveals to him that it is no longer just with techniques, but also with sheer brute strength, that he can overwhelm these opponents that he was struggling with yesterday. There are also other smaller factors, like his control over this improvised magic technique that he created, improving bit by bit, among all other things, but he is certain of it; it is his raw power that has grown the most because of the Evolution Domain.

"aning that I still need to practice my mastery over battles and techniques to make sure it properly grows along with it." Such is the realization that hits him as he deals with the remaining Amber Slis.
