Windwhisper Star
The firmament was clear and washed clean, the limpid sunlight pouring down upon the earth, gilding the entire mountain range with a faint sheen of luster.
Deep within the mountains lay a land favored by the heavens themselves, a place of extraordinary grace and spirit.
Spiritual Springs dotted the landscape like a starry chessboard, inlaid among verdant mountains and emerald waters. The springs gushed forth with a gentle murmur, sending up curling white mist that wreathed the pools like gauzy veils, drifting lightly away on the breeze.
The water of the Spiritual Springs was crystal clear to the bottom, shimmering with fine specks of light. Leaning closer, one could catch a breath of refreshing Spiritual Qi that seemed to seep into the heart and lungs; with a single inhalation, the mind cleared, fatigue and turbid air throughout the body were washed away, and even the Soul felt nurtured, being lighter and more buoyant.
This was the Spiritual Spring of Windwhisper Star, famed across the stars. It was precisely this unique Spiritual charm that made this place a favorite holiday destination for countless interstellar powerhouses and noble ladies of great houses.
Around the springs, several well-established resort villas had long since been built, scattered in graceful tiers among the green mountains and springs. Each had its own distinct style, yet all blended perfectly with the surrounding natural scenery, without the slightest sense of discord.
Clearwater Villa
In a hall lavishly appointed yet still retaining an air of elegance,
a red-haired woman was lounging lazily against a carved armchair. She had the quintessential features of a Western beauty—deep-set eyes paired with a high, straight nose—yet her face also held the unique delicacy and gentleness of an Eastern woman. Her skin was as lustrous as snow, like the finest mutton-fat jade, so exquisitely smooth that not a single pore could be seen. A loose silk bathrobe hung carelessly over her body, yet still failed to conceal her tall, fiery, and enticingly curvaceous figure.
In the woman’s arms, a small snow-white cat was squinting contentedly, enjoying the light caress of her fingertips. A satisfied "purr purr" rumbled from its throat.
"Boss."
A heavy voice sounded as a bald, burly man strode into the hall. His frame was towering and robust, his aura steady; a touch of respect rested on his face as he walked briskly to the red-haired woman and bowed, standing at attention.
At the sound, the little cat slit open its eyes a fraction, gave the burly man a glance, then lazily closed them again, rubbing its head against the woman’s chest and curling up its limbs as if it had fallen asleep.
"Boss, there’s news from the Tulip Consortium."
The burly man spoke: "They’re grateful we wiped out the Silver Demon Star Thieves. Not only did they give us a hefty reward, they’ve also decided that all future escort missions on Windwhisper Star will be handed over to us. However..."
At this point, the burly man paused, his tone turning slightly hesitant as he added, "Mrs. Arroyo has made a request of us."
"What request?"
The red-haired woman—Catherine—was gently bing the kitten’s fur with her long nails. Her voice carried a faint huskiness that only added a further layer of seductive charm.
"Mrs. Arroyo says that the best beauty product on the market is no longer the Spiritual Springs of Windwhisper Star, but the second-generation Youth Potion produced by the Lingfeng Group."
The burly man hastily continued, "She said, if we can get our hands on enough Youth Potions and use them in concert with the Spiritual Springs for nourishment, then in future not only the Central Star Realm, but even rich madams and female powerhouses from other Star Realms will regard Windwhisper Star as their first-choice beauty sanctuary. But if we can’t secure them, I’m afraid the business of Windwhisper Star will find it hard to maintain its current boom."
Hearing this, Catherine’s fingers, which had been bing through the kitten’s fur, suddenly paused, and her brows knit slightly.
She herself was also using the Lingfeng Group’s second-generation Youth Potion.
She had to admit, its effect was indeed immediate—one vial could visibly make a person look ten, even twenty years younger, and the pace of aging would be greatly slowed.
With repeated use, even if one could not remain forever young, one’s skin condition would grow better and better, reaching a state of flawless perfection.
What was rarer still was that this Youth Potion was not only suitable for ordinary people, but worked just as well on Spiritualists.
On this point, it was downright outrageous.
One had to know that Spiritualists already slowed their aging naturally as their strength increased; many High Tier Spiritualists were over a hundred years old yet still appeared to be in their thirties.
But aging was a fate no one could escape. Even someone as powerful as a Tier Nine Demigod would one day grow old and frail.
Yet the Youth Potion could restore a Spiritualist’s appearance to youth—though it was only a rejuvenation of the exterior and did not change the essence of their Qi and Blood or Physique, for those beauty-obsessed female Spiritualists, this was more tempting than any heaven-sent treasure, enough to drive them mad.
Thus, from the moment the Youth Potion hit the market, it sparked a buying frenzy across the stars, selling out the instant it was released.
Some female Spiritualists were willing to stake their entire fortunes for a single vial; others went even further, not hesitating to trade their bodies just to obtain this elixir of eternal beauty.
This level of madness made the Youth Potion nearly impossible to obtain; many people, even those who were planetary tycoons, might not be able to secure a single vial.
Those rich madams obsessed with beauty were even more crazed, fighting tooth and nail for just one dose.
Catherine herself was taking this Youth Potion. With her connections and resources, she could only reliably acquire one vial per month.
She had to admit, the effect of the potion was indeed exceptional. Even she was intoxicated by the state of her own skin now—fairer and more delicate than ever before, so perfect that not the slightest flaw could be found.
But the Youth Potion was simply too hot. The Nine Great Star Realms of the Empire needed no mention; even the Beastman Empire and the Spirit Race were scrambling for it like mad.
Even with her network and power, she still could not obtain more of the potion.
