The disciples of Thunderlight Hall didn’t celebrate, as they were on excellent terms with Lingyin Hall. During their days of cultivation, Hu Jing and the others had received considerable help from Mingren and his group. The scene that unfolded was one of Thunderlight Hall disciples comforting those from Lingyin Hall.

Surprisingly, Thunderbolt didn’t taunt Wu Fatian. Instead, he stroked his beard, nodding with a smile. This was the true spirit of the tournant. Competition wasn’t ant to create enemies, but to make everyone stronger.

Wu Fatian gave a wry smile. "Old Lei, I’ve spent my whole life refusing to admit you’re better than , but there’s one thing I truly can’t match: you’re luckier than I am."

Thunderbolt was pleased by the first half of the statent, but the second half made him want to start blowing his beard and glaring. However, one look at the disciples below made him smile instead. "Today, I won’t lower myself to argue with you."

"Thunderlight Hall has won this tournant, but failure is the mother of success! All disciples of my Lingyin Hall, hold your heads high! Don’t be cowards!"

Wu Fatian’s voice echoed across Lingyin Hall. This was likely the most devastating defeat in the Hall’s history, yet as an Ancestral Master, his perspective and stature were far grander.

"Now, let us cheer for Thunderlight Hall and Wang ng, who have created a miracle!"

Wu Fatian’s tone suddenly shifted. The disciples were stunned for a mont, but their Ancestral Master had spoken. The disciples from Hundred Herbs Hall, Beast Hall, Fire Cloud Hall, and especially Flying Phoenix Hall erupted in cheers without hesitation.

Wu Fatian turned and gave a wave, having shown off the magnanimity of an Ancestral Master. He then looked at Thunderbolt with a sly grin. "Old Lei, don’t think you’re the only one who knows how to hand out favors."

Lingyin Hall was indeed Wu Fatian’s domain, but it was clear that in his heart, Wang ng’s importance now weighed more heavily—whether for personal reasons or for the sake of the Holy Hall.

Zhang Xiaojiang and the others finally let loose, rushing forward and tossing Wang ng into the air again and again.

WANG NG~~~~MIGHTY!

THUNDERLIGHT~~~~~~~INVINCIBLE!

The cheers reached a crescendo when Yang Ying was pushed before Wang ng by her sisters.

The miracle was still unfolding. A seven-win streak. Thunderlight Hall had fought its way to Dao Guang Hall. It was real. It was actually happening.

There was no other topic of conversation in the Holy Hall. Wang ng and Thunderlight Hall dominated every discussion, from the lowest servants and even mortals, all the way up to the Elders and Ancestral Masters. Everyone was talking about the miracle of Thunderlight Hall and the incredible Wang ng.

Through the Sacrificial Battle, he had defeated five of Lingyin Hall’s top experts in a row, making his personal prestige rival that of Ning Zhiquan. For years, the position of number one Third Generation Disciple had been uncontested; Ning Zhiquan was truly deserving. But just as Ning Zhiquan was on the verge of advancing, a challenger had arrived—and in such spectacular fashion.

In just one month, Wang ng had accomplished what had taken Ning Zhiquan over a decade.

As the saying goes, one mountain cannot hold two tigers. Sooner or later, Wang ng and Ning Zhiquan would have to face off to see who was superior.

And there was no suspense as to what would happen next. As the Senior of Dao Guang Hall, Ning Zhiquan had already sent a formal, emotionless notice to Thunderlight Hall imdiately following Wang ng’s victory.

The final battle: Dao Guang Hall. Ning Zhiquan versus Wang ng. One battle to decide it all.

Ning Zhiquan would have been too ashad to send out four of his juniors to wear Wang ng down first. To win that way would be a disgrace.

It had to be a fair and open fight. Ning Zhiquan had even petitioned the Ancestral Masters to grant Wang ng ample ti to recover. He wanted to fight Wang ng at his absolute peak.

This wasn’t arrogance; it was the confidence befitting a powerful expert of Ning Zhiquan’s stature.

If Ning Zhiquan won, his career as a disciple would be perfect. He would have created his own legends and, at the sa ti, crushed another in the making. What more could one ask for?

As for Wang ng, if he could defeat Ning Zhiquan, he would undoubtedly beco a legend unlike any other in the history of the Holy Hall. A hero, a beauty by his side—a new legend was about to begin.

This battle would be unprecedented.

Furthermore, all six Ancestral Masters would gather at Dao Guang Hall to witness this fight—another unprecedented event.

The tournant had turned into a festival for the entire Holy Hall.

With the final battle still to co, the disciples of Thunderlight Hall couldn’t celebrate too openly. But a private celebration behind their own closed gates was absolutely essential.

Old Zhou was dragged into the festivities as well. To his mock dismay, his private stash of liquor was hauled out by Zhang Xiaopang. Elder Zhou Feng was one of Thunderlight Hall’s own, and they had never seen an Elder so approachable. Everyone in the Hall, from top to bottom, absolutely adored him.

Although Wan Jing, Wang Bodang, and Zhao Ya were fine, there was always a sense of distance. It wasn’t like with Zhou Feng. The disciples were happy to treat Elder Zhou as one of their own, and everyone loved calling him Old Zhou.

As a result, Elder Zhou was plied with so much alcohol he was seeing stars. Once drunk, he started spilling all sorts of old stories, including so embarrassing tales about the Ancestral Masters, much to everyone’s delight.

Zhang Xiaopang was particularly excited. Fueled by alcohol, he jumped onto a table and started wiggling his hips and stripping. Just as he was about to reveal all, he was yanked down by Liuu i.

One must celebrate when tis are good. When you’re happy, you should let yourself be happy.

Yang Ying inevitably beca the target of everyone’s teasing, a rare opportunity indeed. However, out of respect for her authority as the Senior of Flying Phoenix Hall, most held back. This left poor Gao Dandan and the others to beco the targets of the "pack of wolves." Proximity breeds opportunity, after all. And who knew? Maybe Yang Ying’s sisters would extend their affection for her to her friends and take a liking to one of them.

Thunderlight Hall had never been this lively, had never felt this good.

It was like passing the highest exam and celebrating one’s wedding night all at once.

For Wang ng, this day was pure bliss. The entire experience was. It had been foolish of him to spend so much ti worrying about a distant enemy. He’d deal with problems as they arose.

Yang Ying felt Wang ng’s predatory gaze and grew a little frightened. Wang ng held her. ’I have one more person to protect now.’

Their bodies began to burn with heat. Wang ng cradled Yang Ying’s lovely face. She was as beautiful as jade. Spurred on by the alcohol, he could no longer hold back. It was a wonderful night. And with one encounter’s worth of experience, Wang ng beca even more ferocious, much to Yang Ying’s... distress.

Wang ng woke at dawn the next day, all his fatigue gone. Yang Ying was curled in his arms like a gentle kitten, faint tear tracks still visible on her cheeks. Wang ng slapped his head. ’I was too wild yesterday.’ Yang Ying, who had only recently received his "favor," had been "defeated" again and again.

Wang ng gently kissed her eyelashes. The early morning light fell upon her cheeks, making her look like a sleeping Fairy. He felt as if he were in a dream. Just a few years ago, he was brawling in the streets with Zhang Xiaopang, and now he was holding the most beautiful Fairy in the Holy Hall.

Yang Ying awoke, opening her starry eyes. She was still a little shy when she saw him; girls were certainly more easily flustered.

"My bad about yesterday. I’ll be gentler next ti, I promise," Wang ng said.

Yang Ying bit her lip and t his gaze. "I like being... conquered by you."

Wang ng burst out laughing, and Yang Ying wished she could find a hole to crawl into. She couldn’t believe those words had co out of her own mouth.

Such are the pleasures of the bedchamber.

Lust stirred in Wang ng again, and a frightened Yang Ying quickly stopped him. "Think about the bigger picture! ... After the battle with Dao Guang Hall, I’ll let you have your way."

Flying Phoenix Hall was a Female Cultivation Hall, so its library contained texts on Dual Cultivation. They warned that without a proper compatible Cultivation Technique, excessive intimacy could be extrely draining.

"Are you kidding? I feel great. My Elental Power is brimming," Wang ng said, pausing as he realized what she was worried about.

For mortals, overindulgence would drain their stamina and vigor. For a Cultivator, it could overdraw from their Sea of Fate.

But Wang ng felt better than ever; he had even improved. He subconsciously peered into his Sea of Fate.

Within his Sea of Fate were five new orbs of light. A yellow one overflowed with the power of the tal of the Five Elents, a blue one with the Water of the Five Elents, a green one with the Wood of the Five Elents, a red one with the Five Elents Fla, and a brown one with the Earth of the Five Elents.

The five powers ford a Pentagram Array. Peering deeper, he saw a complex interplay of forces between them, much like the Power of Laws. At the center of the Pentagram Array was the very sa gap from the Heaven and Earth Shrinking Spirit Array. A sliver of Godhood Power seeped through it, forming the core of the Pentagram Array.

Among the Five Elents Power, the Water of the Five Elents was clearly stronger than the others. Sohow, Wang ng sensed a familiar aura from within it... It was Yang Ying’s.

Yang Ying saw Wang ng staring blankly and thought he was angry. "If you still want to... then..."

Wang ng snapped out of his trance and hugged Yang Ying. "No, it’s not that. I think sothing incredible just happened. Maybe we really can try Dual Cultivation."

Yang Ying’s face instantly turned beet red. "You’re impossible! Your mind is always in the gutter."

"Then let’s be improper one more ti."

Wang ng was domineering to his core. Yang Ying’s faint resistance only added to the thrill of conquest. For her, enduring it would beco a habit.

And sure enough, Wang ng was truly full of vigor afterward, which put Yang Ying’s mind at ease.

"When do you plan to accept the challenge?" she asked. Though her body felt weak, Yang Ying diligently fastened Wang ng’s tunic.

"Three days from now," he said. "I’ve heard about Ning Zhiquan since the day I arrived at the Holy Hall. I finally have a chance to see what he’s made of."

Yang Ying nodded. "Be careful. Brother Ning is unfathomable. No one knows the true depth of his Elental Power, but he’s definitely no weaker than Mingren."

Wang ng pinched her lovely cheek. He was growing more and more fond of teasing her. ’It feels good, turning a Fairy into a mortal woman.’

"Speaking of which, he’s my love rival too. But don’t worry. Your man isn’t afraid of anyone. As for Ning Zhiquan, I’ll make sure his ambitions fall short!"

Yang Ying rolled her eyes at him. "You’re so smug after getting everything you want."

"Haha! I’m a rogue, what have I got to be afraid of?"

He grabbed her slender waist and pulled her into a long, breathless kiss.

They were interrupted by a knock at the door. ’No need to guess,’ Wang ng thought. ’It has to be Zhang Xiaopang.’

The mont he entered, Zhang Xiaopang bellowed, "Greetings, Sister-in-law!"

This actually made Yang Ying, who had been at a loss for words, feel more at ease. "You two really are cut from the sa cloth!"

Wang ng laughed, clapping Zhang Xiaopang on the shoulder. "Look at that smug, triumphant look on your face. You must have sealed the deal."

"All thanks to Brother ng’s excellent leadership! I took care of it in a flash. What can I say? My charm is just too powerful to resist."

"Zhang Xiaojiang, could you be any more shaless!" ca Liuu i’s voice from outside the door, unable to listen any longer.

"Junior Sister Liuu," Yang Ying said, "I think those two should be locked up together." (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welco to co to Qidian (qidian) to vote for recomndations and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
