This was no longer a matter of skill.
Wang ng thought of the Fla Encyclopedia. He had spent a great deal of ti on this thing, and now he was about to see just how powerful it was. He summoned the Fla Encyclopedia, which hovered in front of him. Wang ng slamd his right hand down on it, pouring his Heart Spirit into it all at once.
"Kill!"
Suddenly, the Fla Encyclopedia erupted in a brilliant light. A deafening roar thundered between heaven and earth. The Fire Thorn Tree that had been preparing to attack Wang ng froze in place. The Exotic Beast in the air paused for a mont, then prepared to flee.
But it was too late. A violent whistling filled the air, and a hurricane-like force blasted Wang ng, contorting his face. The Fla Encyclopedia flared with blinding light, and a ball of fire exploded in all directions.
ROAR~~~~
A colossal Fire Dragon spiraled out of the Fla Encyclopedia, incinerating everything within its range. The Exotic Beast was indeed fast, but half of its body was still caught by the Fire Dragon’s sweep. It was instantly turned to ash, with only the remaining half continuing to fly through the sky.
—Fla Dragon Tyrant Heaven!
Wang ng stared blankly at the empty space around him, stunned by the sheer power of the attack.
Ever since inheriting the Godhood, he had been imrsed in an endless pursuit of realm and technique, influenced by the Godhood itself. But on the path of Cultivation, how could one underestimate the importance of Magical Artifacts? Moo Shan and Wangtian could roam the world with just a single sword each, but that was because they had reached the necessary realm. Wang ng was no Demigod.
A Magical Artifact was a tool that could infinitely amplify a Cultivator’s power. A Demigod, of course, could perform miracles with seemingly nothing—in truth, their Godhood was their greatest Magical Artifact. The current Wang ng, however, needed the assistance of more Magical Artifacts.
Wang ng stroked the now-dimd Fla Encyclopedia. ’This is a real treasure.’ He could feel that after unleashing such an outrageous Fla Magic, a significant amount of its power had dissipated. It would probably need so ti to recover.
"Little Fla, is this the only one you have at ho? Do you have any more? I wouldn’t say no to eight or ten of them."
Little Fla looked at Wang ng with a blank expression, touching the wisp of fla on its head. "Just this one. It’s always been sitting at the bottom."
Wang ng was just speaking off the cuff. He knew this was just a stroke of dumb luck. Too much of it, and it wouldn’t be lucky anymore; it’d just be shit.
"Haha, Little Fla, co with . We have lots of friends where I’m from. You’ll have a great ti."
After stowing the Fla Encyclopedia, Wang ng led the chubby Little Fla toward the Teleportation Array. His plan was to complete the third stage of the Five Elents Technique as soon as possible. He had laid a solid enough foundation and couldn’t afford to stagnate at his current realm. Most importantly, the Holy Hall was facing many challenges. If he ran into soone like Qi Feiyu again, he might not be so lucky.
...
When they arrived at their destination, Wang ng was dumbfounded. Little Fla touched the wisp of fla on its head, its face a mask of confusion.
A bloodcurdling scream shot toward the heavens.
Sure enough, his excitent hadn’t lasted three minutes. The Teleportation Array was destroyed.
He wanted to vomit blood!
The Teleportation Array was the only way back. Normally, arrays established by the Cultivation Academy were relatively safe, but...
Wang ng had been careless.
Wang ng plopped down right there. He had no desire to spend the rest of his life in a place with no girls.
Wang ng quickly activated his Star Ring... but the array wouldn’t activate. The Star Ring’s power couldn’t possibly cover such a vast distance.
The only option now was to wait for soone from the Cultivation Academy to show up. But it seed... he hadn’t told anyone he was coming here. Besides, he’d heard that basically no one ever ca to a place like the Fire God Little Thousand World. Maybe soone would show up once every eight or ten years?
Wang ng looked at Little Fla, feeling utterly desolate.
"Little Fla, are there any other Teleportation Arrays?"
Little Fla fumbled with the wisp of fla on its head, patting it three tis before its eyes lit up. "I think there’s a place like that, but it’s not nearby. See if this is it."
Little Fla clapped its chubby little hands, sending sparks flying. An image appeared: an enormous Teleportation Array.
"Where is this place?"
As long as it was a Teleportation Array, it had to have been built by Cultivators. But you couldn’t just use any random array. This one, however, had the symbol of the Star Alliance on it, which ant it was fine.
Little Fla pointed into the distance, pondering how to phrase such a difficult answer. Its little face scrunched up in concentration, a clear sign of its limited vocabulary.
Wang ng placed Little Fla on his shoulder. "You lead the way." With that, he soared into the air.
This ti, however, he didn’t dare to be as brazen as before. The Exotic Beasts of the Fire God Little Thousand World were a real hassle, and they tended to swarm at a mont’s notice. Wang ng had no desire to get bogged down in a fight.
Little Fla loved the feeling of flying and excitedly pointed in a direction.
Wang ng himself was terrible with directions and couldn’t tell north from south or east from west. He simply flew wherever Little Fla pointed.
He had no idea how long they had been flying. Even with his incredibly potent Elental Power, Wang ng was starting to get a little winded.
But they hadn’t seen even a shadow of the Teleportation Array.
"Ahem, Little Fla, are you sure this is the right direction?" Wang ng had to have a serious talk with it.
Little Fla blankly touched the three wisps of fla on its head and looked at Wang ng with an innocent gaze. "It’s that way!"
Wang ng stared blankly at Little Fla, then turned it around. "Which way?"
Little Fla decisively pointed forward...
Master Wang was petrified. ’Oh, for heaven’s sake! What is this? I’ve t soone with an even worse sense of direction than !’
Little Fla would always point straight ahead.
Wang ng had no choice but to stop. When his consciousness had communed with the Sea of Fire Consciousness, a map of the entire Fire God Little Thousand World had appeared to him. Relying on his mory, Wang ng drew a rough sketch on the ground and pulled Little Fla over.
"Little Fla, we’re here, which is where you were before. We’ve been flying forward for the better part of a day and passed three Seas of Fire, so we should be about here. Where is the place you were talking about?"
Although Wang ng was terrible with directions, he could at least read a map. He used a branch to draw the most primitive of route maps for Little Fla.
Little Fla pointed to a spot on the left. "It’s here."
Wang ng slapped his forehead. ’Thank goodness.’ If they had to turn back, he really would have vomited blood.
"Let’s go. Another half a day and we’ll be ho."
Wang ng pulled Little Fla along and continued on their journey.
While Master Wang was on the road, Hex Zui and the others had already clashed with the Demon Refining Faction several tis, with victories and losses on both sides.
As long as they remained within the Cultivation Academy, their lives weren’t in danger. The other side’s provocations were nothing more than official challenges or attempts to lower Ma Tian’Er’s and the others’ win rates in the Battle Space.
This would have been very stressful for ordinary people, but they had underestimated the resilience of the Holy Hall Disciples.
Ma Tian’Er faced two challenges and won both. That Compound Pill was incredibly effective. Not only did Ma Tian’Er purge the Fire Poison, but her power also advanced. She was already approaching the Thirtieth Layer.
Li Tianyi had six wins and two losses, also a winning record. Ning Zhiquan was actually having the worst ti. He was at the thirty-third layer of Elental Power but was facing experts from the Demon Refining Faction who were at the thirty-seventh or thirty-eighth layer. Losing two matches in a row put imnse pressure on Ning Zhiquan.
He wanted to avoid the challenges, but the problem was that mbers of the Demon Refining Faction were everywhere, provoking and insulting him. Sotis, he truly had no choice but to fight.
However, the Demon Refining Faction hadn’t expected Ma Tian’Er and Li Tianyi to be so strong. Still, the Demon Refining Faction had far more people. They could take turns issuing challenges, so the burden on any one individual was negligible. The Holy Hall Faction, on the other hand, had only a handful of mbers.
Jiangg Qingqing, on the other hand, received no challenges. They probably knew her background and that her relationship with the Holy Hall Faction was relatively shallow. The Demon Refining Faction was quite calculating in their actions.
The Demon Refining Faction’s original intention was to apply direct pressure to crush the Holy Hall Faction’s spirit, forcing them to bow their heads, admit defeat, and obediently pay "protection money." But so far, they had not fully achieved this goal.
The Holy Hall dared to fight back.
Jiangg Qingqing didn’t stay idle. She began to challenge the disciples of the Demon Refining Faction. This was true solidarity.
Even so, it didn’t do much to help the overall situation. The power balance between the two factions was simply too uneven.
As for Wang ng... he had been duped by Little Fla again. This ti it wasn’t the direction, but the distance. The "half a day" Little Fla had ntioned? God knew how many days it would actually take. But since they had already co this far, Wang ng had no choice but to press on.
Along the way, Wang ng and Little Fla flew in fits and starts. He took the ti to further understand how to use the Fla Encyclopedia, and he could only say that compared to whoever created it, his own so-called Artifact Refining Technique was like viewing the sky from the bottom of a well.
Old Moo wasn’t omnipotent. Awed by the status of a Demigod, the rookie Wang ng had naturally looked up to him as if to a great mountain, assuming Moo Shan was the strongest in everything. In reality, that was a misconception. Moo Shan’s strength lay in his sword and his understanding of the Power of Laws. But a Demigod was not a god—in fact, they were still a long way from true divinity. It was just that Wang ng, possessing a Godhood, could achieve twice the results with half the effort in anything he did.
When it ca to Artifact Refining or Alchemy, Moo Shan was an absolute rookie himself. What he had given Wang ng was a brand-new opportunity.
Wang ng studied the Fla Encyclopedia with near obsession, focusing not just on its power, but on its very existence.
Each ti the Fla Encyclopedia was used, it consud the user’s Heart Spirit and Elental Power, with the drain on the Heart Spirit being particularly large. Most Magical Artifacts were powered by Spirit Stones, and the more powerful the artifact, the greater the consumption. The Fla Encyclopedia, however, clearly didn’t need Spirit Stones; it could recover on its own. According to the Cultivation Academy’s classification system for Magical Artifacts—Soldier Level, General Level, King Level, and Emperor Level—the Fla Encyclopedia was, by any asure, an Emperor Level artifact.
Little Fla was much more excited than Wang ng. Traveling in fits and starts, it took the two of them more than ten days to finally find the Teleportation Array.
This Teleportation Array was massive. It looked like it had been abandoned for so ti, but the array itself was still perfectly intact. Wang ng placed the Thousand Tempered Fire Spirit Stone inside, and the array slowly began to activate.
"Haha, our luck’s not bad! Little Fla, it looks like we can finally leave this godforsaken place."
The Fire God Little Thousand World was truly no paradise. The environnt was simply too harsh. It might be a heaven for soone with the Five Elents of Fire, but Wang ng possessed the Five Elents Body, not a singular Five Elents Fire Body. Crucially, the food here was terrible. At Wang ng’s current realm, going a few months without eating wasn’t a problem. Unfortunately, Master Wang was not one to abstain from the pleasures of the palate. He had once been so influenced by Moo Shan that he’d nearly cast aside all human emotions and desires. But Yang Ying had awakened him. He wasn’t so Demigod; he was a living, breathing person. Without emotions and desires, what was life but being a walking corpse? Wang ng pursued power, but he pursued being alive even more.
The light from the array grew brighter and brighter. Although he had no idea where it would teleport them, Wang ng didn’t care anymore.
Little Fla excitedly touched the three wisps of fla on its head, unable to contain its joy. It couldn’t care less whether the future was dangerous; this was the boundless yearning of a new life. Seeing this, Wang ng was deeply moved as well. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welco to co to Qidian to vote for recomndation and monthly tickets.
