Shining threads appeared all around, forming a large net. Luo Xian had no intention of letting them run wild in such a dangerous place.
Wang ng’s heart lurched, but he relaxed slightly when he saw Little Fla shakily get back to its feet. He, too, wanted to see what Little Fla was truly capable of.
Once on its feet, Little Fla tugged the wisp of fla on its head, rubbed its tummy, and charged toward the Rock Beast again. Its speed... well, it couldn’t exactly be called fast.
Luo Xian was in no hurry. He planned to toy with his opponent, killing him by inches and making him regret the day he was born. What he craved was their despair and terror.
The Rock Beast instantly threw a punch. Inexplicably, Little Fla didn’t even try to dodge, effectively running straight into the Rock Beast’s fist.
BOOM...
Its face was smashed out of shape as it was sent flying with a WHOOSH.
Wang ng felt a little faint. ’Should I really let the little guy keep this up?’
But Little Fla scrambled back up. Looking exasperated, it fiercely kicked the Array Technique that was blocking its way. The array rebounded the force, causing the pained Little Fla to hop around while clutching its foot.
Wang ng... was dumbfounded.
’This little guy can’t possibly think this is just a ga, can it???’
Little Fla rubbed its face and glared with wide eyes, shooting a hateful look at the Rock Beast that had nearly ruined its good looks. Then, it ferociously charged forward once more.
It was the first ti Wang ng had seen such a fierce side to Little Fla. ’But can the little guy take it?’
The Rock Beast had received its master’s command, which was clearly to torture its opponent to death. It brought a fist crashing down on Little Fla, intending to squash it into a pancake this ti.
BOOM...
Little Fla was indeed smashed flat, the very ground trembling and cracking from the impact. But when the Rock Beast lifted its claw, the flattened Little Fla reinflated as if filled with air, popping back to its original shape. It then aid a vicious kick straight at the Rock Beast’s crotch.
Wang ng broke into a cold sweat. ’Who taught it such a dirty trick???’
Little Fla’s kick landed square in the Rock Beast’s weak spot. Though it lacked power, the accuracy was impeccable, and the Rock Beast yelped in pain. Seizing the opportunity, the incredibly nimble Little Fla followed up with a jab to the beast’s throat, imdiately followed by a two-handed poke at its eyes.
A groin kick, a throat strike, and a double eye-poke...
’This fighting style is a lot like Zhang Xiaopang’s used to be.’
The attacks didn’t inflict much damage, but getting hit in its weak spots enraged the Rock Beast even further. It began chasing Little Fla, snapping and attacking in a wild frenzy.
Little Fla stopped fighting head-on and instead began dodging and weaving. All of a sudden, it changed direction and darted toward Luo Xian. The infuriated Rock Beast gave chase and lunged.
Luo Xian was rather surprised. ’This round little thing is actually quite cunning. It knows how to use tactics. Does it really take for an idiot?’
A Fire Talisman exploded toward it. ’Using such a petty trick on ?’
A Spirit Wall appeared in front of Little Fla, but the creature opened its maw wide and took a huge bite, instantly chewing a hole straight through it. The pursuing Rock Beast roared as its claws swiped at Luo Xian.
BOOM...
Luo Xian dodged wretchedly to one side, his robes torn open at the chest. anwhile, Little Fla had already scurried back to Wang ng’s shoulder, where it puffed out its tummy in a cool pose.
"Little Fla, who taught you those tricks?" Wang ng didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Little Fla gestured with its hands. ’It definitely wasn’t Ma Tian’Er, so that only leaves Jiangg Qingqing,’ Wang ng thought. ’The Red Beauty Sect has a plethora of Anti-Wolf Skills. Jiangg Qingqing was probably just teasing Little Fla for fun; who would have thought it would actually use those moves in a real fight? And they were pretty effective, too. It’s just a sha Little Fla isn’t a physical-attack type of Spirit Beast.’
Looking sowhat disheveled, Luo Xian snorted coldly. "Kill them!"
The Rock Beast turned, roared, and charged at Wang ng, its rough hide looking as if it were about to burst.
Just as Wang ng prepared to make his move, Little Fla struck a pose on his shoulder. It brought its chubby little hands together, and a Fla Sword materialized.
It slashed the sword through the air toward the Rock Beast.
Wang ng froze. ’This pose... why does it look so familiar?’
’It looks just like the stance I use when I practice. I have a Spirit Contract with Little Fla, so our minds are linked, but can a Spirit Beast really imitate a Cultivator?’
Luo Xian sneered, "Tear it to shreds!"
’To think such a fragile little thing would dare challenge my Rock Beast.’
The Rock Beast roared and clawed at Little Fla. If smashing it didn’t work, then it would just tear it to shreds!
’A fla of this level is nothing to worry about!’
RUMBLE...
The Fla Sword Qi that Little Fla unleashed was just a thin sliver at first, but it suddenly erupted with a deafening roar into a terrifying Giant Dragon made of fire.
The ground erupted. When the dust settled, all that remained of the Rock Beast on the ground was a skeleton. A gust of wind blew, and it turned to ash that scattered into the air. Even the barrier Luo Xian had erected was shattered by the blast.
Forget Luo Xian; even Wang ng was dumbstruck. He had always thought the little guy’s only talent was eating and had never expected it to have such a ferocious side.
The newly-born Little Fla hadn’t known how to fight, but thanks to their ntal link, it had been cultivating right alongside Wang ng.
Little Fla struck a pose, jauntily flicking the three wisps of fla on its head, then waddled over to Wang ng.
It stared up at him with wide, pitiful eyes, as if it had been terribly wronged. "Master, I’m hungry."
Wang ng...
"There, there. Once I deal with this guy, I’ll treat you to a feast. Have a snack for now."
Wang ng took a few Spirit Stones from his Qiankun Bag and tossed them to Little Fla. ’This thing is an absolute glutton. At this rate, it’s going to eat into bankruptcy.’
Suddenly, Wang ng’s eyes landed on Luo Xian opposite him. ’Wait, why didn’t I think of it before? The Demon Refining Faction! He’s a boss!!!’
In Wang ng’s eyes, Luo Xian transford into a mountain of Spirit Stones. In Little Fla’s eyes, Luo Xian was just a giant pile of food.
Little Fla put the Spirit Stones into its own Qiankun Bag. It wasn’t very old, but it had already learned to save snacks for later.
Apparently sensing Wang ng’s thoughts, Little Fla now seed eager to earn its own keep.
Wang ng scooped Little Fla up. "He’s mine. You just watch from the sidelines."
Little Fla waved its chubby hands, signaling that its share had to be saved for it. It had just unleashed a huge attack, so it was very hungry and wanted a large cut of the loot.
Wang ng broke into another cold sweat. ’I have no idea what Ma Tian’Er and Jiangg Qingqing have been teaching it. This little guy really needs to stay away from won.’
Watching Wang ng joke around with his pet, completely ignoring him, sent Luo Xian into a rage. He’d never imagined that this plain-looking Fire Attribute Spirit Beast could unleash such a shocking Fla Sword Technique. A desire to capture it rose in his heart, but first, he had to hack Wang ng into a million pieces.
SWISH SWISH SWISH...
Poison Talismans rained down on Wang ng as array techniques on the ground detonated one after another. The dazzling light showcased Luo Xian’s superb control.
Wang ng flew back a great distance with Luo Xian in hot pursuit. Luo Xian unleashed a giant Talisman, which erupted in a blinding flash of countless lights.
BZZZZ BZZZZ...
Thunderfire Chain Burst Talisman!
Countless arcs of Thunderlight and lightning enveloped Wang ng. This was the terrifying fighting style of a Talisman Cultivator—a completely unreasonable, indiscriminate barrage.
Wang ng held his Broken Heaven Edge horizontally and executed a Defensive Sword technique, causing a Sword Screen to materialize before him.
All the Talismans slamd into the Sword Screen, causing it to erupt in a multicolored radiance. Luo Xian sneered. ’A re Thirty-Fifth Layer punk thinks he can block my attacks with a Sword Screen? He must be insane.’
’I’ll blast him half to death, then rip out his soul and refine it for forty-nine days!’
As the Talismans collided with the Sword Screen, Spiritual Qi exploded continuously. Luo Xian’s barrage was clearly intended to blast Wang ng to smithereens.
After unleashing a mad barrage of countless Talismans, Luo Xian finally paused to catch his breath. He couldn’t let Wang ng off that easily; killing him instantly would be a waste.
The dust settled, and Luo Xian was stunned. Wang ng was completely unhard, and the Sword Screen was still there.
"Is this the power of a Level 48 Talisman Cultivator? How disappointing!"
Flas blazed on Broken Heaven Edge. Ever since his advancent, Wang ng had been like a man possessed, seeking opponents everywhere. He had been slightly worried before this fight, but after they clashed, he could only conclude that this was all there was to it. The pressure from Luo Xian didn’t even compare to the opponents the Old Demon Dean had found for him.
"Kill!"
In an instant, Wang ng entered the sa state of mind he used when sparring with Moo Shan and slashed out with his sword.
RUMBLE...
The Sword Qi tore through the sky. It had to be said, Wang ng was in excellent form.
Seeing his opponent was using a Sword Slash, Luo Xian didn’t think much of it; an attack of this level couldn’t possibly harm him. He only registered a flash of light and a slight numbness in his arm.
Then his left arm was gone.
With a blood-curdling scream, Luo Xian fell from the sky, clutching the stump of his arm.
After unleashing that strike, Wang ng couldn’t help but roar to the heavens. He knew now that cultivators of this level were no longer a match for him!
Luo Xian had never imagined the man before him could be so terrifying. As he t Wang ng’s gaze, fear inexplicably blossod in his heart.
Gritting his teeth, he summoned a Magical Artifact shaped like a demon’s head. The instant it appeared, the roars of countless tornted souls seed to fill the air.
Soul-Seizing Ghost Pot!
As Demon Sound coursed through him, Luo Xian began to laugh maniacally. Wave after wave of Demon Sound battered Wang ng, but his Divine Sense remained as unshakable as a Stabilizing Needle as he stared coldly at Luo Xian.
Luo Xian’s laughter faltered and died. ’This Demon Sound can drive even Cultivators past the fortieth layer insane,’ he thought. ’How is this possible?’
Wang ng’s thoughts suddenly turned to Little Fla, and he worried it wouldn’t be able to withstand the sound. But in the distance, Little Fla was licking its fingers, staring hungrily at the Soul-Seizing Ghost Pot raging in mid-air.
Unable to restrain itself any longer, it shot into the air and pounced at the Ghost Pot. Imdiately, a horde of Fierce Ghosts rushed out toward Little Fla, but the mont they touched it, they vanished into wisps of fla with blood-curdling shrieks.
The purest essence of the Five Elents Fla, a sentient manifestation of fire itself, incinerating all that was Evil.
Little Fla pounced on the Ghost Pot and simply began to break pieces off... and eat them.
It was too late for Wang ng to stop it. ’You little spendthrift! That thing would have fetched a fortune! It would have been better to sell it for Spirit Stones to eat, but you just ate it raw!’
Little Fla must have been truly starving. Normally, it only absorbed energy, but ever since it ate that bench, it hadn’t seed too picky about solid food.
And just like that, the Ghost Pot was eaten completely clean, and the gloomy sky returned to normal.
Luo Xian stared, dumbfounded, as if he had seen a ghost. "You... Who in the world are you!"
"Wang ng of the Holy Hall!"
Wang ng smiled. Luo Xian’s skill served as a good benchmark. It would have been better if he were a Sword Cultivator; a Talisman Cultivator was a bit of a letdown.
"I..."
SWISH...
Luo Xian was quick to speak, but Wang ng’s sword was quicker.
"I surren—"
Luo Xian’s head flew into the air, following in Luo Yu’s footsteps.
