Strength drained out of my hand all at once. I got up and started walking again, trying to organize my thoughts.
The principle was simple.

I felt a hand wrap around my shoulder. With my mind lagging by a beat, every sound reached slow.
“Looks like you did see sothing after all. It’s fresh—this is the first ti I’ve seen you like this....”
With that voice edged in laughter, my body swayed a little.
It felt like I’d fallen into a deep sleep full of a noisy dream and was only just waking up. My head started throbbing, and then the back of my neck pulled tight again.
I put strength into my eyes and slowly looked at Im Haekyung, who was patting my shoulder.
“What did you see?”
“.......”
What did I see? I saw Kwon Taehan dead. And that wasn’t all.
‘Fuck, seriously....’
A hollow laugh slipped out before I could stop it.
‘Was it real?’
My unconscious was afraid of it? But it wasn’t sothing I could just dismiss as “unconscious.” From the start, information I didn’t know ca pouring out. No—was it not reality in the first place? It was too vivid...... sothing. It didn’t feel like just a nightmare.

I nodded without hesitation and stepped back.
“You... listen well.”
Ignoring Im Haekyung’s comnt, I turned and moved quickly away, scanning nearby. A few Hunters were still on the ground, dropped and sleeping.
‘They must’ve put them to sleep on purpose.’
So the only ones awake were the ones Im Haekyung could use comfortably?
The ones awake were two from Haeseong and one Hunter whose face I didn’t recognize. The last one looked like their mind was pretty far gone.
‘That one was a ntal-type Hunter too, I think.’
Looks like they quickly picked only the useful ones.
In the middle of that, I made eye contact with Hunter Seok, who’d been watching this way.
‘So they’re alive?’
Well. At least I got my potion money’s worth. When I dipped my chin once, they pointed at like they had sothing to say.

I backed off as far as I could, lowered my body, and watched the battlefield. As I steadied my breathing, I pulled a stealth item from my chest and bit it between my teeth.

Even before I could sort out what I’d just seen, things kept crashing in, and it felt like my skull was going to split.
The fight in front of went more smoothly than I expected.
That Hunter threw a massive rope and bound the Dungeon Boss tight. The mont they yanked it down and dragged the bastard’s body toward the floor, Hunter Seok unleashed a barrage of attacks.
Im Haekyung didn’t give verbal commands. They just stood in front like they were absorbed in thought. Not that it ant they were doing nothing.

Im Haekyung was using ntal Domination strictly on the Hunters. Not making the sa mistake twice?

No matter how strong A-rank Hunters were, the manpower Im Haekyung could actually use was limited. And the ones collapsed on the floor too...... they were probably sprawled out because of Im Haekyung’s magical power, and with only three A-rank Hunters, there was no way they could take down an S-rank beast.

Once Im Haekyung froze the creature, the Hunters attacked it like they were used to it. After a few hits, the creature collapsed and was quickly absorbed back into the floor.
But it didn’t matter.

Watching the Hunters who’d regained consciousness, I thought flatly.
