Now reading: Chapter 107: A Stumbling Block on the Road to Spending Money from I Really Didn’t Mean to Make Money, a Comedy novel by 千山万水Over Mountains By Rivers.

[Reminder to the host: the money in the ga account already belongs to the company. Even if it hasn’t been transferred to the company’s account at the ti of settlent, the system will still automatically calculate the money in the ga account as part of the system funds.]

[Funds that the system does not calculate include project operation funds. For example, if a project has one million in operation funds and not all of it is spent by settlent ti, the unspent portion will not be counted into the system funds.]

[Also, business-related paynts—for instance, if a custor places an order worth one million, but the paynt hasn’t yet reached the company account at the ti of settlent—this amount will also not be included in the system funds.]

[......]

Heh!

He knew it. This damn system didn’t leave even the tiniest loophole!

Good thing the ga only profited 200,000 and he caught it in ti.

Still, from now on, he’d have to monitor Cangxue Gas’ daily revenue closely. If it sses up the settlent, he’ll be in real trouble.

He had finally co to understand—anywhere Wei Yan was involved, extra caution was needed.

Looking back at his first three settlent attempts, two had failed—and both tis, Wei Yan had sothing to do with it.

He was literally a stumbling block on the road to spending money.

Even after leaving the business departnt, the apprentice he trained turned out to be a traitor too.

This guy was just toxic.

“President Chen!”

Fang Chang called out tentatively when he noticed Chen Mo hadn’t reacted for quite a while.

He had seen President Chen’s expression turn sour the mont he heard the profit was 200,000.

Was it too little? Makes sense—President Chen was such a big boss, why would he care about a re 200,000? His earlier excitent must’ve looked really petty.

If he wanted to earn Chen Mo’s recognition, he’d have to work even harder—strive to beco his right-hand man, just like Wei Yan once was.

“Mm.”

Chen Mo ca back to his senses when he heard the call and spoke after thinking for a mont.

“From now on, report the daily profit figures to every day.”

It was the crucial phase for settlent—he couldn’t afford the slightest slip-up.

“Got it, President Chen!”

Fang Chang nodded. He didn’t think it was odd for a boss to care about the company’s revenue. That was only natural.

“That’s all for now. If there are any major changes in the company, rember to let know.”

With that, Chen Mo stood up and walked over to Fang Chang, giving him a pat on the shoulder.

“And another thing—regarding the new project, you must make all the decisions yourself. No one else is allowed to interfere—not even with suggestions. And the plan should stick to your original version. No changes.”

After finishing, he left Cangxue Gas with Shen Rou.

Tianlong had been a fluke, but this new project couldn’t afford to be another surprise. He didn’t need a second profitable ga.

And in the whole company, the only one he could really trust was Fang Chang.

By handing the entire project over to him, and using his original proposal—and considering Fang Chang’s track record of designing multiple money-losing gas—this ti, it was guaranteed to fail.

Sigh!

Chen Mo let out a long sigh.

Life was as lonely as snow.

Why did no one understand him?

All he wanted to do was lose a bit of money—why was that so hard?

“President Chen, are we heading back to the clothing factory?”

They had now reached the parking lot outside the office building. Shen Rou asked.

Chen Mo checked the ti—it was already past 3 p.m.

“Workday’s over. Where are you going?”

“Huh?”

Shen Rou was a little stunned. Off work already? But she quickly snapped out of it.

“There’s a subway station not far from this building. I’ll walk there.”

“Alright.”

Chen Mo nodded and then told Yang Dahai to drive ho directly.

The 200,000 in the ga account didn’t need to be rushed. Tomorrow, he’d talk to Li Maode in the park and see if there was a bigger workshop available.

This ti, he had made up his mind.

He must get a big workshop.

Then buy more machines, hire more workers, and spend money hard.

With just a few workers in the current workshop, the expenses weren’t enough at all.

But once the workshop expanded and production increased, according to the system’s requirents, the number of salespeople would have to increase too.

But with Wu Yu in the sales departnt, leading by example, that departnt was a pain in the neck.

Then there was that Cai Jing—she didn’t take as many orders as Wu Yu, but her order rate was incredibly stable. Every few days, she’d bring in a small order worth 100,000 or 200,000.

Not a lot, but just enough to be annoying.

He still rembered when she first joined—such a clean and delicate-looking kid. Now after so ti in sales, she looked like she had just co out of boot camp.

And I gave them a pretty decent base salary too. Was it really necessary to work this hard? Wouldn’t slacking off be more comfortable?

When the workshop expands, he must find a way to deal with these two. Otherwise, the sales departnt would be a huge liability.

By the looks of it, training should be ending soon, right?

No way. The system settlent was coming up. If those two returned and caused trouble during the process, resulting in a failed settlent, it would be a disaster.

He absolutely couldn’t let that happen.

He could extend the training period—let them co back only after the system settlent was complete.

Great idea!

Thinking of this, he took out his phone and dialed Li Shen.

The call connected.

“President Chen, do you have a task for ?”

Li Shen’s voice sounded excited—President Chen hadn’t asked him to do anything for over half a month!

He had initially studied so office software, and now that he’d pretty much mastered it, all he did every day was laze around or stroll to the cafeteria. It was so boring.

“Yeah, there’s sothing. You were the one who coordinated the training at the machine tool factory last ti, right?”

“Yes, President Chen. Is there a problem with the training?”

“No issue. I just figured twenty days might be a bit short. After all, operating automated machinery requires programming skills. So they need to learn thoroughly. I’ve decided to extend the training period. You get in touch with the machine tool factory.”

“But President Chen, they originally only offered twenty days of training. They might not agree to an extension.”

Li Shen sounded a bit worried.

Chen Mo replied casually, “Just tell them we’ll pay for the extra days. Ask them to na their price.”

“Understood, President Chen. I’ll talk to them and get back to you.”

“Good.”

Chen Mo responded and hung up, a smile playing on his lips.

Soon after—

Li Shen called back.

“President Chen, they’re asking for 100 per person per day for the training.”

“Deal. Extend it by 10 days.”

Chen Mo agreed instantly. One person for ten days was only a thousand. Ten people ca to ten thousand total.

What a bargain. It wasn’t even as much as the travel allowance he gave them.

......

Machine Tool Factory,

Employee Dormitory.

Wu Yu sneezed—twice—violently. Then he casually grabbed a couple of tissues and wiped his nose.

“Brother Yu, are you catching a cold?”

A young guy from the sa dorm asked.

“It’s nothing, probably just a bit chilly. The weather’s changing, and this dorm’s drafty.”

Wu Yu tossed the used tissues into a nearby trash bin.

If he calculated right—just four more days and he could go ho.
