“Next is the matter of salaries. Due to the holiday break, March’s salaries haven’t been issued yet. Each company’s finance departnt should ensure that wages are paid promptly. Salaries should be disbursed according to the new, increased rates.”

“Also, for employees who worked overti during the holiday, make sure to tally up all overti hours and include the corresponding overti pay along with their regular wages.”

“That’s all for the salary issues. I hope the finance departnts of each company handle this quickly—don’t let it drag on.”

“Zhao Lingling, you’ll be in charge of following up.”

Chen Mo turned his gaze toward Zhao Lingling in the eting room. Originally, Zhao Lingling had been the accountant for the Clothing Factory, but even then, she often handled financial reports from other companies as well.

So after the group was officially established, Chen Mo promoted her to the Group Headquarters to oversee and consolidate the finances of all the companies under the group.

“Yes, President Chen,” Zhao Lingling responded quickly.

Since becoming the head of finance at Group Headquarters, her title had been upgraded to Finance Director, and her salary had more than doubled.

This kind of career leap was sothing she had never even dared to dream of.

Precisely because of that, she was even more determined to do her job diligently—especially when it ca to tasks assigned by President Chen.

Once the salary matters were settled, Chen Mo continued.

“Next up are so personnel changes. Many of these have already been anticipated, but I’ll go over them again here.”

“First, changes at the Clothing Factory. Jiang Cheng will be promoted from Head of the Production Departnt to General Manager of Changfeng Apparel. As for the Deputy Manager position, it will remain vacant for now. Jiang Cheng, you’ll be responsible for selecting a suitable candidate and submitting their na when ready.”

“Thank you, President Chen,” Jiang Cheng quickly stood up and expressed his gratitude.

Chen Mo waved him down, signaling him to sit, then turned his attention to Wei Yan and Fang Chang.

“The next personnel change concerns Cangxue Gas. Since Cangxue was the second company I took over, I haven’t made many staffing adjustnts there.”

“But now that Cangxue Gas has grown, it’s ti to formalize so roles.”

“First, the positions of General Manager and Deputy Manager will go to Wei Yan and Fang Chang respectively—Wei Yan as General Manager, Fang Chang as Deputy. The company now has two active projects, but only one Project Lead, Zhao Bowen. That’s clearly not sustainable.”

“Zhao Bowen will be promoted to Departnt Head. In addition, select two people to serve as Project Leads for each project. You can handle the selection yourselves.”

Chen Mo had already thought through these promotions during the holiday break. More leadership roles ant higher salaries, and when it ca ti to issue bonuses, there would be more to go around.

As for why he made Wei Yan the General Manager of Cangxue Gas—it was, of course, a subtle way of expressing his dissatisfaction with Fang Chang.

Just one ga, Extre Survival, had made it exponentially harder for him to settle his personal assets.

To settle his personal assets, no matter the thod, he had to ensure that the remaining System Funds were lower than the initial System Funds before the settlent.

This ti, the initial system funds were 30 million. To settle into personal assets, he had to bring the remaining System Funds below that 30 million threshold.

Based on a rough estimate he did yesterday using player numbers, the combined monthly revenue of Tianlong and Extre Survival had already exceeded 100 million.

With an eight-month settlent cycle, that ant Cangxue Gas would bring in at least 800 million in revenue by the end. And since the player base for both gas was still growing, the actual revenue would likely surpass that.

Even if we just go with the 800 million figure, he’d need to spend at least 770 million to bring the System Funds low enough to settle.

And the one responsible for all this? Fang Chang.

Letting him be Deputy General Manager was already more than generous.

“Thank you, President Chen,” Wei Yan and Fang Chang exchanged a glance, then quickly stood up to express their thanks.

“Sit down,” Chen Mo said with a wave.

With the Cangxue Gas arrangents completed, his gaze shifted to Li Shen and Wu Yu.

“Following our investnts in Changfeng Apparel, Cangxue Gas, and several other companies, at the end of last year, Mingri Group also invested in the Boring Short Video project. Li Shen and Wu Yu are the project leads—Li Shen as General Manager and Wu Yu as Deputy Manager.”

The eting continued, and once all the personnel changes across the companies were announced, Chen Mo picked up the glass of water beside him, took a sip to moisten his throat, and went on.

“Now that we’ve covered the personnel changes, let’s move on to the Group’s future developnt plans.”

“First, the Clothing Factory. We’re looking to expand into new sectors—shoes, children’s wear, swimwear... basically, any apparel-related fields. This will be a long-term goal, and we’ll expand step by step.”

“Jiang Cheng, I’m assigning this to you. Go back and arrange for the right people to handle it. Also, talk to Li Maode from Industrial about the workshop issue. If there are any available workshops, rent them imdiately for future expansion.”

“Understood, President Chen.”

Jiang Cheng quickly jotted down everything President Chen had just said into his notebook.

With the direction for the Clothing Factory settled, Chen Mo went on to outline the developnt plans for several other companies.

“In addition to our existing businesses, Mingri Group will be establishing an Investnt Company and a Film and Television Company. You can all look forward to that.”

“Alright, that’s all for today’s eting. Dismissed.”

With that, Chen Mo stood up and left the conference room.

Behind him, the sound of enthusiastic applause from the other employees echoed through the room.

But not long after he returned to his office, there was a knock at the door. Wei Yan walked in with a smile.

“Sothing on your mind?”

Chen Mo looked up at the approaching Wei Yan.

“Nothing major. I just wanted to thank you, President Chen, for trusting with the General Manager position. But honestly, I’m a bit out of my depth—I didn’t co from a gaming background. My understanding of the industry doesn’t even compare to Fang Chang’s, or even so of the more experienced junior staff. I’m not sure I’m the right fit for this role.”

“Besides, Fang Chang was the manager before. Now I’m suddenly the General Manager—it just doesn’t feel right.”

Wei Yan spoke cautiously. He had been thinking about this ever since President Chen made the announcent in the eting.

But with so many people present, it wasn’t appropriate to voice his concerns then. So he waited to speak with President Chen in private.

“The decision’s been made and won’t be changed. Just focus on doing your job as General Manager. In fact, there’s an important task waiting for you.”

Chen Mo got up, walked over to Wei Yan, and gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder, as if placing great trust in him.

It’s precisely because you don’t understand gas that I made you General Manager.

Whether Cangxue Gas fades into obscurity under your leadership—that’s all up to you now.

As for Fang Chang, that guy’s a lost cause.

“What kind of important task, President Chen?”

Wei Yan looked at him in confusion. He didn’t know the first thing about gas—what kind of important task could possibly fall to him?
