Mingri Group.

CEO’s Office.

Chen Mo stared at the invitation letter handed to him, falling into silence.

The Extre Survival offline tournant was entering its finals in three days, and it was going to be held at Jiangcheng Stadium.

They wanted to invite him to attend the event in person.

Watch the Extre Survival finals, huh?

Chen Mo murmured inwardly, his brows slightly furrowed.

It wasn’t that he had anything against watching the match, but the key issue was that this was a ga developed by one of his own companies.

Sitting in the audience, watching his own ga take the world by storm?

Wasn’t that just asking to be tornted?

Chen Mo hesitated for a long while before finally letting out a long sigh.

After thinking it over,

He decided to go anyway. After all, whether he went or not, Extre Survival was going to blow up regardless.

If he couldn’t fight it, he might as well enjoy the ride.

Maybe while watching, he’d co up with a way to cool down the ga’s popularity.

The invitation letter also ntioned that they wanted him to present the award to the champion team after the match.

And he was also expected to give a short speech on behalf of Cangxue Gas.

A speech, huh?

That might be an opportunity.

With that thought in mind,

Chen Mo gave a faint smile and made his decision, then put the invitation letter away.

He pulled out a rough notebook and began to write. Since he had to give a speech, he might as well prepare a proper script.

This speech had to be crafted carefully. If he used the right approach, maybe he could even convince so players to quit the ga.

What a golden opportunity to dissuade people from playing!

But he had to be subtle about it. He couldn’t be too obvious. At the very least, it had to look respectable on the surface.

Chen Mo frowned as he scribbled and revised in the notebook.

After a while,

He looked over the contents and nodded in satisfaction.

That’s what he’d go with. Who knew how many players he could talk out of playing, but even if it was just a few, it would be worth it.

Buzz buzz!

His phone vibrated.

Chen Mo picked it up and glanced at the screen, surprised.

It was a call from Yang Xingguo.

After the New Year, Yang Xingguo had taken the investigation team out again. Other than sending a weekly summary report, he hadn’t contacted Chen Mo directly.

For him to call now, sothing important must have happened.

Considering the nature of Yang Xingguo’s work, Chen Mo didn’t dare delay and quickly answered the call.

“President Chen, there’s sothing urgent I’d like to ask your opinion on.”

As soon as the call connected,

Yang Xingguo’s voice ca through, sounding a bit anxious. It really did seem like sothing serious had happened.

“Go ahead.”

Hearing the urgency in his tone, Chen Mo’s expression turned serious.

With Yang Xingguo sounding like that, it was almost certainly an ergency.

“It’s like this, President Chen. We were passing through Xishan City and happened to co across a car accident. A female high school student is currently in critical condition. Her family’s financial situation isn’t good, and they can’t afford the ergency treatnt. I’d like to request funding from the Foundation to help cover the costs.”

“Approved. Go ahead and make the arrangents. Let know how much is needed, and I’ll transfer the funds from the Foundation account.”

Upon hearing it was a matter of saving a life, Chen Mo didn’t hesitate for even a second. He agreed imdiately. In situations like this, every second counted.

However, the Foundation’s funds were all held in a separate account. Yang Xingguo couldn’t access them without Chen Mo’s approval.

Or more accurately, without the system’s approval. Ever since the Foundation was established, Chen Mo hadn’t been able to use the money freely.

Only when it was confird that the funds were being used to help those in need or for public welfare could the money be released.

“Oh, and if anyone asks who provided the money, don’t ntion the company’s na.”

He suddenly rembered what happened last ti at the coffee shop.

If word got out that they helped a high school girl this ti, who knew if there’d be another wave of people flooding in for revenge spending. That was sothing he couldn’t afford.

So, just to be safe,

He gave Yang Xingguo a heads-up to keep the donation under wraps.

That way, he could help the girl in need without worrying about the good deed being exposed and triggering a flood of attention from netizens.

Doing good without leaving a na—that was true virtue.

“Understood, President Chen.”

Xishan City.

Xishan Hospital.

After hanging up the phone, Yang Xingguo let out a visible sigh of relief. He hadn’t expected President Chen to approve the funding so quickly.

But with this, the high school girl could receive treatnt without delay.

As for President Chen’s insistence on keeping it quiet, he probably just wanted to stay low-profile.

Yang Xingguo didn’t think too much about it. He put his phone away and turned to his wife.

“What’s the girl’s condition now?”

“She’s still in the ward. Her family is trying to gather money.”

His wife, Zhang Man, responded quickly. She had just co back from that side of the hospital and was well-inford about the situation.

Right now, the girl was receiving basic ergency care, but without the funds for surgery, they couldn’t proceed with the operation.

“President Chen, what did he say?”

“I’ve already spoken with President Chen. We just need to confirm the exact amount, and then President Chen will transfer the funds.”

As Yang Xingguo spoke, he quickly made his way toward the hospital room.

Right now, the high school girl’s mother was still inside, talking with the doctors, while her father was outside trying to gather money.

……….

“Doctor, I’m begging you, please let my daughter have the surgery first.”

“Don’t worry, we’ll pay the full amount. Even if I have to work myself to death, I’ll make sure every cent of the dical bill is covered.”

“Please, I’m begging you, just make an exception and operate on my daughter!”

A middle-aged woman knelt in front of a doctor, her voice choked with sobs as she pleaded.

They were just an ordinary rural family. How could they possibly co up with hundreds of thousands of yuan all at once?

But to save their daughter, they were willing to sell everything they owned if they had to. Still, it would take ti. All she wanted was for the surgery to happen now, and they would pay the bill afterward.

The doctor looked at the woman kneeling on the floor and quickly helped her up, speaking gently.

“Please don’t worry. We’ve already submitted a request for an ergency surgery. Once it’s approved, your daughter will be operated on, even if the full paynt hasn’t been made yet.”

“But doctor, how long will the approval take? I’m afraid my daughter can’t wait that long.”

The woman’s voice was full of desperation. Her daughter lay unconscious on the hospital bed, and she was terrified.

She was afraid that by the ti the approval ca through, her daughter might not survive.

The doctor’s expression froze for a mont. He didn’t know how long the approval would take either. He was just a doctor. Even if he was anxious too, there was nothing he could do but follow the procedures.

Still, seeing the woman so heartbroken, he tried to comfort her.

“Don’t worry. It shouldn’t take long. The approval should co soon, and your daughter will be fine.”

Even though he had no idea how long it would actually take.

Hearing the doctor’s words, the woman’s anxious expression eased slightly. She walked over to her daughter’s bedside, her face full of worry.

Just then,

The high school girl on the bed suddenly began convulsing uncontrollably.

Several doctors rushed forward to assess the situation.

“This isn’t good. We need to operate imdiately.”

One of the doctors finished checking her and spoke urgently.

The doctors in the room exchanged looks. The approval hadn’t co through yet. How could they proceed with the surgery?

The mother’s expression, which had just cald down, turned frantic once again.

Thud!

She dropped to her knees and pleaded desperately.

“Please, I’m begging you, just do the surgery first. We’ll pay the dical bills, I swear we will!”
