Since soone had invited him to be a club manager, whether or not they knew his background, it was still an opportunity.

No matter what, he had to go and check it out for himself.

Jiang City, Mingri Group.

Yao Beiguo murmured the na in his mind. It was the information he had just received during the phone call.

A quick search on his phone confird that the Mingri Group was a real company. According to the information available, the group was involved in a wide range of industries.

With that confirmation, he felt much more at ease.

His only concern had been whether this might be a scam. But since Mingri Group was a legitimate, large-scale corporation, there was nothing to worry about.

Would a company of that size really joke around with soone like him?

With that thought in mind, he pulled out his phone and bought a high-speed rail ticket to Jiang City.

The train was scheduled for 6 PM, which ant he would arrive in Jiang City that evening. He planned to stay at a hotel overnight and head to Mingri Group for the interview the next morning.

Once his itinerary was set, Yao Beiguo freshened up, changed into a new outfit, gathered his docunts, and headed straight for the train station.

The next morning.

Yao Beiguo stepped out of the hotel with a nervous heart. He hailed a taxi and made his way to Mingri Group.

The whole ride there, doubts swirled in his mind. He genuinely wasn’t sure whether the person who invited him really didn’t know his full background.

And if they truly didn’t know…

What would their reaction be once they found out?

Would they be like all the other gaming clubs and reject him outright?

After about half an hour, the taxi pulled over by the side of the road. Yao Beiguo looked up at the towering building in front of him.

According to the information he had, Mingri Group was located inside this very building.

He hesitated for a mont, then stepped forward. Since he was already here, he might as well see it through.

He took the elevator up to the 17th floor.

After explaining his purpose to the receptionist, soone quickly ca to escort him to the top floor.

CEO’s Office.

Yao Beiguo walked in slowly. Before he had a chance to take in the layout of the office, a young man approached him.

“Yao Beiguo, we’ve been waiting for you. Co, have a seat over here.”

Chen Mo greeted him warmly, guiding him to the sofa by the floor-to-ceiling windows and pouring him a cup of freshly brewed tea.

Instinctively, Yao Beiguo followed Chen Mo and sat down on the sofa, accepting the cup of tea as it was handed to him.

Only when he felt the warmth of the cup in his hands did he snap back to reality.

He looked at the young man sitting across from him, who had already begun to speak.

“Let introduce myself. I’m Chen Mo, President of Mingri Group. I assu the person who invited you already explained why we asked you to co?”

“Yes,” Yao Beiguo quickly replied. “They said you were looking for soone to manage a gaming club.”

He looked at the young man across from him, still a bit stunned.

So young, and already the president of a corporation?

“That’s right. I’m planning to establish a gaming club. Right now, the club doesn’t even exist yet, so I need soone to take charge, handle all the preparations, and get it up and running as quickly as possible.”

“And after a thorough selection process, I’ve decided that you’re the manager I need.”

Chen Mo smiled as he looked at Yao Beiguo.

Hearing Chen Mo’s words, Yao Beiguo hesitated for a mont. Then he took out his resu, placed it on the coffee table, and slid it toward Chen Mo.

“President Chen, I think you should take a careful look at my resu before making your final decision.”

His tone was calm.

What worried him most was that this young president might not have thoroughly reviewed his background, and might not know about his history managing four different gaming clubs—two of which had been disbanded, and the other two sold off.

If that were the case, it was better for Chen Mo to learn the truth now than to find out later and cause unnecessary conflict.

Even if it ant losing this opportunity, it was better to be upfront.

Chen Mo looked at the resu that Yao Beiguo had solemnly pushed toward him, and his mind started to waver. Could the information he’d received earlier have been wrong?

After all, managing four gaming clubs, with two shut down and two sold off—that did sound pretty bad.

No, he needed to take a good look. If there had been a mistake and Yao Beiguo hadn’t actually managed four failed clubs but was instead a highly capable manager, then he’d need to reassess everything.

Chen Mo picked up the resu and began reading it carefully.

As Yao Beiguo watched Chen Mo examine his resu, his heart tightened. He had no idea how the president would react once he saw the full scope of his background.

The office fell into a brief silence.

“Hm.”

Chen Mo let out a soft sound of surprise. After finishing the resu, he realized that the information he’d received earlier had been accurate.

Yao Beiguo’s resu matched what Shen Rou had given him almost exactly, though this version was more detailed and comprehensive.

But overall, there was no difference at all—especially when it ca to managing the four Gaming Clubs. It was exactly the sa, down to the last detail.

After confirming this, Chen Mo let out a quiet sigh of relief.

No discrepancies.

That ant this Yao Beiguo was exactly the kind of talent he needed.

Handing over the Gaming Clubs to him would definitely be a reliable decision.

“President Chen, what do you think?”

Yao Beiguo couldn’t help but ask cautiously when he saw President Chen slowly close his personal file without saying a word, simply sitting there in silence.

Better to rip off the bandage quickly.

He wanted to know as soon as possible what this President Chen thought of him.

Even if it was a rejection, he could accept that.

“Very good. I’m quite satisfied with your profile.”

Chen Mo placed Yao Beiguo’s file on the coffee table and looked up at him.

Ah!

Yao Beiguo froze in disbelief. He had imagined countless possible responses from President Chen.

Polite rejections, blunt refusals…

But among all the scenarios he had considered, not once did he imagine that President Chen would actually be satisfied with his profile.

He knew his resu all too well. Every Gaming Club he had interviewed with before had frowned the mont they saw it.

But President Chen hadn’t frowned at all after reading it.

And in the end, he gave it a glowing review—he was satisfied with it.

Satisfied!

That was a response he had never once received in all his previous interviews.

“President Chen, there’s a section in my resu about managing four Gaming Clubs, and honestly, none of them ended very well. Did you see that part?”

Yao Beiguo looked up and asked cautiously.
