King Fairon and his cohort moved closer to the remains of the tal birds, their brown and erald robes swishing softly as they examined the constructs.

Their expressions grew grim as they studied the jagged edges of the shredded tal and the faint pulses of residual energy sources flickering from the wreckage.

The advisors exchanged uneasy glances with clear worry their tense postures and furrowed brows. Yet no one dared to speak yet because they were waiting for their king to break the silence.

King Fairon finally straightened, his gaze lingering on the tallic remnants. His voice was calm as always but its still edged with concern as he spoke. "This is... indeeed unusual. Perhaps the Dwarves, with their unparalleled skill in talwork, could craft sothing akin to this."

Saeldir stepped forward, his expression serious, then he speak with his voice carrying the weight of his expertise. "No, Your Majesty. This energy source is foreign and sothing we've never encountered in our world. Not even the Dwarves could replicate this."

A sigh escaped King Fairon's lips, his face shadowed with unease. His cohort remained silent, each mber nodding subtly in agreent with Saeldir's assessnt.

"You're right, Saeldir," Fairon said, his tone heavier now. He turned to King Gulben. "So, what are you intending to do?"

King Gulben's expression was grim, the lines on his face deepening as he spoke. "We are planning a scouting mission to their world."

The weight of his words hung in the air like a storm cloud. King Fairon's lips parted slightly as he took a sharp breath, his worry was clear. "A scouting mission... to their world?"

Gulben gave a slow nod, his gaze was steady as if he already made that decision.

The gravity of the situation was clear. The foreign world, where such constructs and energies were born, was an unknown place that fraught with unknown dangers and potentially insurmountable challenges.

Fairon's shoulders stiffened, his voice showing a mix of concern and disbelief. "You understand the risks of this plan, don't you? Sending anyone into a world we know so little about could be catastrophic for them."

Gulben's grim expression didn't waver. "We do. But we cannot afford to wait for their forces to strike again. Laston is building an army that could tear through our defenses. We need information, and we need it now."

The silence that followed was deafening. Fairon's cohort looked to their king, searching his face for guidance. King Fairon closed his eyes briefly, as if weighing the enormity of the decision, before finally speaking. Find exclusive content at empire

"Then you must tread carefully, Gulben," he said. "If you go, ensure that those who are sent are prepared for anything."

King Gulben nodded solemnly. "We will. And we'll ensure that no life is risked without purpose."

"I will also send my best soldiers. I know that Laston could be danger for us as well," king Fairon said.

King Gulben nodded. "You're right. We will keep preparing first for now."

The tension in the room remained thick with the uncertainty of the future pressing on everyone present. For now, the Elves had no choice but to brace themselves for the dangerous journey that lay ahead. They have to be ready to go into a world where Laston using those Magic and machinery to create sothing beyond their comprehension.

anwhile, as the Elves busied themselves with preparations and unaware of the danger that were closer than they thought, Laston the threat they believed still confined to his own world, had already crossed into this world.

He stood at the base of a colossal mountain, its steep sides lined with jagged bones and dark twisted structures that jutted out.

A wicked smile played on Laston's lips as he looking at the mountain. His gaze lingered on the ominous towers that lood above, their spires adorned with what looked like the remains of ancient monstrous creatures.

This was no ordinary place, it was the kingdom of his forr allies, beings he had once worked with to invade the Elf Palace but eventually failed because of Erend.

"The Daemons of Calamity," Laston murmured with voice laced with dark amusent. "Their king may be gone, but they will have chosen another by now. Hopefully a worthy ruler."

He took a step forward and crossing the invisible boundary that marked the edge of their domain. Instantly, an alarm reverberated through the air. It was a loud hum that sent ripples of Magic through the atmosphere around the mountain.

The ground beneath his feet trembled slightly as an ancient ward that was designed to warn the Daemons of any intruders activated.

Despite the commotion, Laston remained unbothered. His movents were slow and calm as he advanced further into their territory, his presence exuding confidence and a touch of arrogance.

From the jagged cliffs above, dark figures began to erge, their silhouettes looks sharp and nacing with their horns.

They descended swiftly, their forms cloaked in black armor that shimred with an unnatural energy. Their faces were hidden behind demonic masks, their crimson eyes glowing with a sinister light.

One of them stepped forward. He was a towering figure who wield a massive jagged blade that radiated a faint red aura. His voice bood across the rocky expanse, filled with authority and also suspicion.

"Who dares cross into our kingdom? Speak quickly, intruder, before we tear you apart!"

Laston raised his remaining hand in a gesture of peace, though his smile never wavered. "Easy now," he said, his tone smooth and composed. "I'm not here to fight, at least, not while we can still talk. I've co to speak with your new king."

The Daemon warrior growled, his grip tightening on his weapon. "Our king does not grant audiences to the likes of you. Leave now, or face the consequences."

Laston chuckled softly, clearly unfazed by the threat. "Ah, but your king will want to see . After all, I bring an offer that could change everything for your kind. Tell your king that Laston has returned and wishes to rekindle old alliances."

The Daemon warrior hesitated for a mont, his glowing eyes narrowing as he studied Laston. Finally, he motioned to one of his subordinates who imdiately vanished into the shadows to deliver the ssage.

"You will wait here," the warrior commanded. "But if your words prove false, know that you will not leave this place alive."

Laston inclined his head, his smile growing wider. "I wouldn't dream of lying to your king," he said smoothly.

As the minutes stretched into a tense silence, Laston stood still with eyes fixed on the towering mountain before him.

He could feel the dark energy that pulsed through this land. This was a chaotic force that resonated with his own ambitions. He likes it here.

Not long after, the Daemon soldiers returned, his movents hurried and his expression pale. His glowing crimson eyes darted nervously between the commander and Laston as he stopped abruptly, breathing heavily.

"The King... he has ordered us to bring this one to him imdiately," the soldier stamred.

The commander's expression darkened, his sharp features twisting into a scowl. "And why do you look so shaken? What did he say?"

The soldier swallowed hard. "He... he said to show no delay. That this... man must be escorted directly to the throne chamber, no matter what."

The commander's crimson eyes narrowed as he processed the urgency in the soldier's words. His instincts told him this was no ordinary situation.

If the King himself had reacted with such imdiacy, then whatever Laston represented was far more significant than the commander had anticipated.

He turned his piercing gaze to Laston, his smile still fixed and maddeningly calm.

"Very well," he said through gritted teeth.

"Lead the way," Laston replied smoothly.

The soldiers ford a tight escort around Laston, their weapons drawn and their glowing eyes watching his every move. The air grew heavier as they began their descent into the mountain, where the heart of the Daemons' power resided.

The path was steep and treacherous, lit only by the faint glow of crimson light crystals carved into the jagged stone walls.

As they ventured deeper, the sounds of the outside world faded.

Finally, they arrived at a massive carved gateway at the heart of the mountain. The towering doors were forged from blackened tal and bone. The commander stepped forward, raising his blade as he shouted, "Open the gates! The King awaits!"

The doors groaned as they began to part, revealing a grand chamber beyond.

The space was huuge, its walls lined with towering pillars of obsidian and bone. A crimson light bathed the room, emanating from a colossal throne at the far end.

Seated upon it was the new King of the Daemons — a towering figure draped in dark tattered robes that seed to ripple with an unnatural energy.

His horned head was crowned with jagged spikes and his glowing eyes burned with an intensity that seed to pierce through anyone who dared et his gaze.

The Daemon King leaned forward slightly, his deep, rumbling voice filling the chamber. "Laston," he said. "You've crossed into this domain again, uninvited and unwelco. I should just destroy you where you stand!"

Laston stepped forward, his smile widening as he spread his arms in a gesture of confidence.

"Your Majesty," he began. "I co not as an enemy but as an ally. I offer you a chance to reclaim what was lost and to gain far more than you ever imagined. Together, we can reshape this world… and more."
