The three Elves moved carefully through the crowded streets. Their Magic working in their favor now that they had adjusted to the unnatural energy of this world.

Their camouflage not rely hid them, it altered their presence and tuning their essence to match the strange frequency that pulsed through this city. To any outsider, they were just more of the altered people who walked these streets with their appearances seamlessly blending in with the cybernetic beings around them.

But knowing that to others they now looked like these people, made their skin crawl.

Arlyn clenched his fists as he passed a man whose arm was entirely chanical with tal plating fused into his shoulder. The sight of artificial limbs attached into their flesh was disturbing.

His stomach churned at the thought that their illusion made them appear the sa way. He resisted the urge to shudder.

Vael who were always the most in tune with nature felt the revulsion deep in his bones. This was not an evolution of life but this was sothing else. Sothing unnatural.

He had always believed the body was a sacred vessel and a gift from the world itself. And yet, here, these people had torn their bodies apart and replaced them. It was as if they had rejected what the nature had given them.

While Saeldir, even though he looks composed, had a hard ti masking his own discomfort. Magic in their world was about harmony and shaping the natural forces around them.

But here, the energy of this place was jagged, artificial, and feels forced. This was not the careful weaving of the Magic energy but a brutal imposition of will over nature.

Still, they kept moving, resisting their disgust as they observed more of this world.

The architecture was as alien as the people. Towering spires of tal and glass lood above them. They all pulsing with neon lights and shifting holograms of giant people's smiling faces. Which also feels unnatural.

So structures were sleek and deliberate with their symtry and glowing edges displaying an advanced understanding of craftsmanship. But others…

Others looked like heaps of tal and stone simply welded together without care. Entire districts seed to be patched together from whatever materials had been available.

Pipes and wires running in chaotic directions. Rust and gri creeping along the surfaces. It was as though parts of the city had grown like tumors that expanding without order or purpose.

Vael scoffed under his breath as he passed a particularly ugly building, its surface patched with uneven layers of tal plating, flickering lights barely clinging to the walls.

"This is what happens when there is no balance," he muttered. "They build, but they do not care to shape."

Arlyn cast his gaze upward at one of the cleaner more structured buildings with a massive transparent screen displaying a moving image of a woman with glowing eyes speaking in an unknown tongue.

"So of it is… impressive," he can't help but admitted, though his voice held no much of admiration. "But it lacks soul."

Saeldir said nothing. He was too busy observing, analyzing, and calculating.

This world was not like anything he ever saw. At least in Erend's world, there are still balance nature even though there are not containing as much Magic as his own world.

This city's dangers were unknown. Its people's nature also unknown. Even its Magic, if it could even be called that, was unknown. They could not afford to let their disgust blind them.

"Stay focused," he murmured. "We are still deepn in enemy territory."

The other two nodded and they continued forward. Their silent discomfort hidden beneath the illusion that made them look like one of them.

anwhile, on the other side of the city, Aerchon and Sylra moved with the sa thoughts in mind. They blended seamlessly with the residents of this world. Their presence also masked by the illusion woven around them. They navigated through the dense crowd with eyes constantly scanning their surroundings.

Aerchon had already instructed Sylra to reach out to Saeldir and the others through telepathy but so far she had failed to establish a connection. The energy in this world was still resisting her attempts to tune into it. It would take ti to adjust but ti was a luxury they could not afford.

Aerchon exhaled slowly, keeping his expression even as he remained on alert. If they lost communication their situation would beco far more dangerous. Separated in an unknown world and unable to coordinate, it was a risk he didn't want to take.

But there was no use dwelling on it now.

He pushed aside the unease and forcing himself to remain focused. Panic would only cloud his judgnt. He had to stay sharp, adapt, and keep moving forward.

Aerchon kept his breathing steady and looking over the crowded street as he and Sylra stood against the cold tal wall. The endless sea of neon lights reflected in his silver eyes but his mind was focused on sothing far more pressing.

Sylra standing beside him with furrowed brows as she concentrated, her fingers twitching slightly as she tried once again to reach out through the Magic. But still no result.

She could feel Saeldir and the others sowhere but the connection slipped through her grasp every ti she tried to latch onto it.

She exhaled sharply with frustrated expression. "I still can't reach them," she muttered. "It's like trying to grasp mist with my bare hands."

Aerchon didn't answer imdiately. He was already considering the worst-case scenario. If they couldn't establish contact they would be navigating blind in this unknown world.

They had no idea what are the condition here, how the people functioned, or what dangers lurked beyond the surface of this chanical nightmare.

The uncertainty was a problem.

But he couldn't afford to let it distract him now.

He forced himself to focus again.

"Let's stop here for now," he whispered.

Sylra nodded, stepping closer to the wall beside him.

From here, they had a good vantage point of the street, watching the bizarre flow of life in this city.

Countless figures passed by — humans fused with tal with eyes glowing with artificial light. So of their voices layered with synthetic echoes.

Aerchon couldn't help but feel a grudging sense of gratitude for Saeldir's high level disguise Magic. Without it, they would stand out like lost travelers in a land of these strange creatures. He didn't even want to imagine the trouble they would be in if they were spotted as outsiders.

At that mont, sothing happened.

Aerchon's senses felt a shift in the air. A presence approaching.

Aerchon tensed before he even turned his head.

Three n were walking toward them.

Their arms glead under the neon glow, entirely tallic from the shoulder down.

Thick plating ran along their forearms with wires snaking between the joints like exposed veins. Their faces were rough, scarred, and their eyes were enhanced by whatever strange technology ran through their bodies.

One of them, the tallest, had a grin stretched across his face.

Aerchon's grip subtly tightened around the hilt of his sword, though he did not draw it. He didn't need to.

His instincts scread at him.

Sothing was about to happen. They don't need this kind of things right now.
