Aurdis wasted no ti. She didn't want to waste precious minutes walking back to the throne room so she quickly channeled a communication spell. The air around her shimred and a bright swirling light ford in front of her before solidifying into a holographic projection of King Gulben and king Fairon at the throne room.

At the sa ti, in the throne room, a matching image of Aurdis, Erend, and Eccar appeared before the two Elven kings.

King Gulben's sharp eyes narrowed as he saw their tense expressions. Across the room, another figure turned toward the projection — King Fairon also saw that expression. Their serious faces darkened as Eccar wasted no ti explaining what he had seen.

King Gulben's face hardened when he heard that. His hands gripping the armrests of his throne. The muscles in his jaw twitched slightly, his frustration clear even through the Magical projection.

Once again, Eccar and Erend weren't supposed to intervere for their problem for now, until he decided otherwise.

The fact that he had flown into the skies above their kingdom and conducting surveillance without any prior approval, irritated the king. It wasn't about control or stubornness, it was their pride as Elves and they were already indebted enough with Erend and Eccar. Discover hidden stories at My Virtual Library Empire

He wanted to reprimand Eccar and demand why he had taken it upon himself to scout without permission. But deep down, he knew he couldn't.

If not for Eccar's actions, they would have remained blind to the dozen hidden constructs waiting above them. Without his interference, they would still be sitting in ignorance, unaware of an impending doom that waiting for the right mont.

A heavy silence fell over the chamber, but through the projection, both Aurdis and Erend could see the way the king's anger tightened his shoulders.

Eccar, however, did not explain himself further. He simply stood there, arms crossed, his wings shifting slightly behind him as he let his words settle. His expression was unwavering. He wasn't one to seek approval nor did he feel the need to justify his actions.

King Fairon, who had remained quiet, finally glanced toward King Gulben. Their eyes t, and for a mont, the weight of their unspoken thoughts passed between them. It was worry and uncertainty of what they should do next.

If Laston truly had forces hidden in the skies that their Magic could not detect, then their entire strategy had to change. He could also hidden it sowhere else.

They had relied on their detection thods to prepare for war, believing they would sense an attack before it happened. But now, that confidence was shattered.

Finally, King Gulben exhaled through his nose, his frustration giving way to the greater issue at hand. His voice was asured but firm.

"What do you propose we do about this?"

"If you don't let us intervene, then, Your Majesty, you need to expand your army to sweep everywhere without leaving anything unchecked," Eccar said, his tone firm.

King Gulben exhaled sharply, his fingers tightening around the armrests of his throne.

Beside him, King Fairon let out a weary sigh, his gaze dropping for a mont as if the weight of the situation pressed down on him.

They already had a battle plan in place — an imminent strike against the Daemon of Calamity and the Ogre Kingdom, two long standing enemies of the Elves. This was a war they had preparing for and planned to wipe them in one quick attack.

But now, a new problem lood before them. One they hadn't accounted for.

If Laston's forces were hidden not only in the skies but potentially in other unseen locations, then their enemies weren't just the Daemons and the Ogres anymore.

There are a big possibility that they would be attacked from multiple fronts. Everywhere at once. And they did not have enough power to prevent it if they sent the forces to attack the two factions.

King Fairon lifted his head, his deep blue eyes locking onto the projection of Aurdis, Erend, and Eccar. "We need ti to decide this," he said, his voice heavy with thought.

Eccar gave a small nod, understanding the weight of their dilemma. Even with all their strength, rushing into battle without knowing the full extent of Laston's plans would be reckless.

Aurdis, standing beside Erend, took a slow breath before speaking. "I understand, father," she said, her voice asured. "But we cannot wait too long. If we do nothing, Laston will have the advantage and by the ti we act, it may already be too late."

King Gulben's expression remained stern, but he did not argue. He knew she was right.

"We will do what we must," King Fairon finally said.

Aurdis gave a small nod, then, with a final glance at Erend and Eccar, she waved her hand.

The swirling Magical light of the communication spell flickered, and the holographic projection of the two Elven kings faded into nothingness.

As the glow disappeared, silence settled in the chamber.

Erend exhaled. He could tell that despite their composed words, the kings were troubled. The Elves were already stretched thin with the unknown things that they would need to face later, and now they were facing a hidden threat that their own Magic couldn't detect.

Eccar clicked his tongue in frustration. "They need ti," he muttered. "But I don't know if we have that."

Aurdis turned toward him, her expression stern. "Then we should just make use of what little ti we have," she said.

Erend crossed his arms, his gaze shifting toward the window where the dark clouds still lood over the horizon.

"We need to find another way to track those constructs," he said. "If this Magic detection doesn't work, then we need sothing else."

Aurdis pursed her lips in thought, then finally spoke. "Yes. I'm planning to do that."

Outside, the rain began to fall steadily, tapping against the stone balcony as a cold wind swept through the open window, rustling the curtains.

Thunder rumbled in the distance, deep and foreboding. The three of them stood in silence, their gazes fixed on the sky, where heavy, ominous clouds lood and swirling with an unsettling darkness.
