Aerchon clenched his jaw as he watched Laston hover before him, wearing that insufferable grin.

But beyond anger, he also felt unease. Did this an Laston himself was about to step in and get serious? And if he did, what would happen? If Laston fought at full strength, this battle would beco an even greater disaster.

But he couldn’t afford to falter now. He was the prince of the Elf Palace. How could he let himself appear afraid in the face of the enemy?

Aerchon unsheathed his sword and pointed it at Laston. In a firm tone, he demanded, "What do you plan to do now?"

"I’m not sure you’re ready to hear it," Laston replied. "After all, you won’t be able to stop it."

"Can’t you see how strong our defenses are? Your minions haven’t even managed to put a scratch on my palace walls."

"AHAHAHA! Oh, Aerchon. Do you really think the reason I haven’t broken through your precious Magic barrier yet is because I can’t?" Laston chuckled.

Hearing that, Aerchon swallowed hard.

"I held back because I wanted to enjoy watching you struggle," Laston continued. "Now that I’ve had my fun, it’s ti to end this. Where is that damn Dragonborn?"

"Why are you looking for him?" Aerchon asked, his brows furrowing.

"Because he’s the only one who can stop ."

Once again, Laston’s words made Aerchon’s blood boil. He truly saw the Elf Palace as nothing—like they weren’t even worth considering as a threat.

"You will die by my hands, Laston," Aerchon growled, fury burning in his eyes.

"Oh, well. The last ti you tried that, it didn’t work," Laston mocked. "But feel free to try again."

Laston still stood outside the Magic barrier. Aerchon used his Magic to lift himself into the air, moving closer to him.

But before Aerchon could strike, Laston suddenly raised his hand toward the barrier. The traitorous elf channeled his own Magic, and slowly, the barrier began to unravel.

There was so resistance—Eccar’s Dragonborn Magic was woven into the barrier—but Laston understood how the Magic worked. Using his own abilities, he dismantled it.

A hole ford in the barrier. Unlike before, this gap wasn’t resealing itself.

"You see how easily I unraveled this barrier?" Laston said smugly. "I—"

Before he could finish speaking, Aerchon lunged at him with incredible speed, thrusting his sword straight for his chest.

Laston coated his arms in a fusion of silver and crimson energy—a combination of his Elf Magic and the power he had harvested in the cyberpunk world. With it, he deflected Aerchon’s sword.

CLANG!

A deafening tallic clash rang out, even though Aerchon’s sword had only struck an energy barrier.

But Aerchon didn’t stop. He knew he would face the sa resistance from Laston as before, but he kept pushing forward.

---

Suddenly, the portal inside the throne room flared to life, and King Gulben erged with labored breaths, his appearance ragged and worn.

Though only minutes had passed here, he had spent over a week inside that dinsion.

The advisors and generals turned toward him, their expressions flooding with relief at the sight of their returned king.

"Your Majesty, you’re back!" one of the advisors exclaid.

"Yes. What’s the situation?" King Gulben asked without delay.

"Not good, Your Majesty," a general responded grimly. "Ogres and Daemons have now joined the enemy. They’re wearing strange tal armor that able to negate most of our attacks."

King Gulben gritted his teeth. The situation had grown even more dangerous in his absence. Even though he knew that its just few minutes.

"Prince Aerchon was outside leading the defense while you were gone," another advisor added. "But now… we don’t know where he is."

Without hesitation, King Gulben rushed to the balcony, his sharp eyes scanning the battlefield.

Then, he spotted him — Aerchon right now was locked in combat with Laston in the sky.

"So… Laston has already decided to attack," King Gulben thought grimly.

King Gulben wanted to rush into battle imdiately and help his son but his body was still strained from his ti in the other dinsion.

He needed to recover first. As much as he wanted to intervene, he trusted his son. Aerchon could handle himself for now.

With a deep breath, he turned away from the balcony and strode back inside. "Summon the healers. Bring potions to restore my stamina," he ordered.

The advisors and attendants hurried to fulfill his request without hesitation. Within monts, the healers arrived, carrying vials filled with shimring liquid.

King Gulben took one and drank, feeling the revitalizing energy spread through his weary body. It wasn’t enough to fully restore him, but it would have to do for now.

---

High above the palace, Aerchon was fighting with Laston, his Magic sword gleaming with powerful Magic energy as it hitting against the traitor’s energy-wrapped arms.

Every swing was t with effortless deflection, Laston barely moving, his expression filled with amusent rather than struggle.

Aerchon gritted his teeth. It hadn’t been long since their last battle but Laston had grown stronger, far stronger than before. His movents were smoother, his defenses more refined. It was as if he wasn’t even trying. What has he done to himself inside his Elf body? Aerchon feels repulsive even when he just imagining it.

CLANG!

CLANG!

CLANG!

They exchanged blows for several minutes, the sound of clashing Magic and energy reverberating through the air. Sparks of silver and crimson flickered each ti Aerchon’s sword t Laston’s reinforced arms.

Yet no matter how hard he attacking, Laston remained unfazed, dodging and blocking with infuriating ease.

The realization burned in Aerchon’s chest, Laston was toying with him.

Rage surged within him. He wouldn’t be made a fool of by this abomination. Not again!

A deep breath, then a pulse of power erupted from his body. The air around him crackled as he unleashed his full Magic, his aura flaring like a storm.

His sword pulsed with raw energy, amplifying his strength as he prepared to strike with everything he had.

Laston only laughed, his voice filled with mockery. "You think unleashing your true power will intimidate , you little brat?"

Without hesitation, he extended his arm, and a pulse of crimson and orange energy erupted from it, surging toward Aerchon like a violent wave.

The force slamd into him, pushing him backward through the air. He barely managed to stay afloat but a sudden dreadful sensation hit him — his Magic felt drained, as if the very core of his power had been sapped away.

"I used to have the sa power as you," Laston said, grinning. "So do you really think I don’t know how it works? I pushed that power further. I studied it, reshaped it, and then fused it with the energy I found in that world. Now, I am superior to both races!"

Before Aerchon could react, Laston lunged. His speed was terrifying, and in an instant, his foot connected with Aerchon’s chest in a devastating kick.

The impact sent Aerchon flying backward. He crashed through the hole in the Magic barrier, hurtling toward the palace at terrifying speed.

The collision against one of the towers sent a thunderous boom echoing through the throne room, shaking its foundations.

Shocked gasps filled the chamber as the advisors and generals turned toward the source of the impact, dread filling their hearts.

The throne room was thrown into chaos as the thunderous impact shook the palace to its core. Gasps and shouts filled the air.

"What was that?" one of the advisors asked, eyes wide with alarm.

"Has the Magic barrier been breached?" another general demanded.

"This is bad. Soone, check with the Orb Room imdiately!"

The Mage rushed to contact the room.

King Gulben, who had been resting, felt a deep unease settle in his chest. If the barrier had truly been broken, then their defenses were on the verge of collapse.

Laston was already powerful, and they didn’t have the manpower to stop him and his troops if he had full access to the palace.

A mont later, the Mage turned to face them. "The barrier is not completely breached, my lord," he reported. "But there is a hole sowhere near the top."

King Gulben’s eyes narrowed. "The top?"

"Aerchon and Laston were fighting in the air," one of the generals muttered grimly. "Could this be because of that?"

Gulben clenched his fists, his heartbeat quickening. A deep, cold fear spread through him at the thought of his son’s fate.

He could still hear the echoes of that impact and how the palace had trembled. If Aerchon had been thrown back with such force, he might already be gravely injured.

He took a deep breath, forcing himself to focus. Standing up, he walked toward the balcony and looked up.

His fears were confird — there, high above, was a hole in the barrier.

"I will go fight him," King Gulben declared. "Retrieve Aerchon and heal him."

Without waiting for an answer, he leaped into the air, his body surging with power.

Two generals imdiately followed, soaring toward the fallen prince. Explore more at .Côm
