Quash looked at his stats after 12 days of hard work. There was nothing special about the Stats. The increase was getting kore difficult as expected. Because after increasing his training difficulty, his stats barely experienced any growth compared to the amount of effort he has put it.
Another week has passed since the ti when the newcor joined. Through this ti, Quash and the Gym bros has trained relentlessly. The gym bros also managed to reduce the cycle ti to a matter of minutes. But the most explosive growth among everyone was experienced by the newcor.
His stats started to climb like they were on a race. His growth was painfully visible to the eyes. He had also followed Quash’s advice and did the pulling thod. And within just 7 days, he could complete a cycle within just on 1 minutes!
Quash was very impressed. The newcor definitely had so talent. But he wasn’t one to judge. He himself was trash. Since his base line of judging others was himself, he can’t tell what was what.
So he just offered congratulations and moved on. The veteran gym bros felt the pressure of getting over taken by a newcor. So felt fired up and worked extra hard while so were a bit his hearted.
But Quash had called all of them and told them that just cause they maybe bad in the Knight Path doesn’t an its the end of the world. They may have different talents in different fields. Because of situation, they couldn’t explore those talent of theirs. If they manage to get into Academy City, they could the look for the field they were good at.
He also used himself as an example. Talked about his talent in Knight Path and his plan to start walking the MagiCraft path when he goes to the academy.
He didn’t know how much his speech had impacted them bur they nodded and moved on. He didn’t think much of it and moved on as well.
But the most astonishing part was that, after the newcor joined, as if a fuse had been lit, others also started to join in.
Right now, the loner group was the largest group in the park. The veteran gym bros would teach them. Quash was asked every now and them if they could join by soone new. He just shouted that anyone can just co in and train with them. If they want to know how thy trained, ask anyone and they will answer.
Quash had expected the atmosphere in other groups to cool down a bit but it seed like so else fuse was lit and they beca even more defensive and secretive.
They would send spies to collect information which the mbers of loner group would imdiately report to Quash.
He would just sigh and tell them how they trained and sent them away, telling them to not distribute anyone if they don’t want to train with them.
Seeing this scene, the newcor had asked why did Quash didn’t care to gate keep such valuable knowledge? From his perspective, Quash’s ways of training is revolutionary. So isn’t it logical to gate keep valuable things?
Quash had just told them that there is no point. The knowledge maybe valuable now, but soone else will figure it out later. So it’s better to just let everyone grow instead.
Understanding dawned to everyone. Quash’s figure seed bigger than life to them. His kindness and belovilance was way above their petty reasons. He was truly a man of profound wisdom and kindness. Their respect shot off the roof.
Quash noticed that their thought and his intentions didn’t align and everything was going haywire. So he hastily explained the actual reasoning that everyone seed to ignore for so reason. It was right in front of them, yet they always seed circle around it before going it a different direction all together.
Quash explained that gate keeping is for insecure people who fear they will he over taken on their own ga. If that happens, it ans they are trash to begin with. But when opposite side starts to grow, it will create pressure for the gym bros to improve. And when the opponents see they are improving, they will work hard. Effectively creating an improvent feedback loop where everyone improves and thrives.
It will also force people to think of new ways to be more efficient. Birthing new ideas that could be helpful to everyone. Humans don’t improve explosively until they are pushed to the limits.
Quash is just trying to create such environnt. With this everyone improves. And when everyone improves, he will be pushed to his limits as well. Because with his stats right now, there are very few in the park that could challenge him in terms of pure stats. Coupled with his increasing skill Proficiency, it won’t be wrong to call Quash the strongest I the park.
Quash had told everyone that it was all done to create pressure on himself. Basically calling himself selfish but the gym bros and the newcors seed to have interpreted a different aning which Quash didn’t even want to think about. They seed emotional. And they could be as emotional as they want. For all he cares, as long as his stats improved, anything goes.
And after 12 days of hard work, Quash felt the sa heavy headedness. Along with that uncomfortable feeling. He felt irritated because of such feelings but also extrely happy. Because another barrage of stats impront was coming.
He temporarily said goodbye and told them that Impurity Expulsion was about to happen. And he didn’t want anything like last ti to happen. So he ran ho at full speed and the mont he entered the house, he took of all his clothes and went straight to the bathroom, turned on the shower and the mont the cold water hit his skin, clarity suddenly returned.
His body seed like it was exhaling. He felt instantly relaxed and in peace. But the foul sll made it so he couldn’t enjoy the feeling for long. So he quickly got to cleaning himself.
After half an hour, he ca out of the bathroom, collected the clothes thrown in the hallway and put them on for now. His training wasn’t down just yet. He still needed to go to the park. He had an extra towel in the bathroom just in case. And who knew it would cone in handy so soon.
Quash then sat down on his couch to examine his gains.
