"By the way dude, where is Elina?"

Quash asked Alan while both kept an eye on the match making hologram and also enjoying the matches.

"She is in the 5th Battle Battle."

"That’s... very impressive. How did she do it?"

"She apparently bought so low grade spell book for cheap but it turned out to be absolute ga changer for her. Even though she is low level, she could still use it because it is divided by levels! She lucked out man!"

"Huh. Really."

Quash said absent mindedly. He rembered Elina’s spell which she beca famous later on. He had forgotten where she got it but it seems like it was around this ti.

"What’s with that reaction, are you not happy for her?"

Alan suddenly asked making Quash turn to him.

"I’m here worrying about my own ass, where do I have ti for others? But what about you? What was that move from that viral clip?"

"You an the one where I split a drake apart?"

"Yeah."

"Well! Guess what Quash! I invented it my self! I channel Pure Aura through the sword, and then-"

"Shh! Shh! You loud mouthed basterd! Why are you spilling for secrets!?"

As Alan was going on about how amazing he was for coming up with such idea, Quash shut up which made Alan quite displeased because his bragging opportunity got interrupted. But thinking that Quash maye be jealous, smile returned to his face.

"But what about you? Why do you share your secrets?"

"I’m different. You can do nothing with the secrets I share with you."

Quash’s answer made Alan go silent for a mont before he heard Quash ask a question.

"Hey dude. Tell about this Feock Jaldagos. Do you know how he fights or sothing like that?"

Alan looked over to where Quash was looking at. Then found that Quash’s match was five match away. Alan thought for a mont before his eyes lit up in recognition.

"Mm. I know. He is a very close range fighter who uses his fists as his weapons. He has so decent skills that can cover upto few ters around him, but most are offensive and defensive skills. With Aura Enhanced, he becos even more dangerous."

"So his weakness is speed?"

Alan looked over to Quash a bit stunned. Not because Quash’s deduction was correct but how fast he figured it out. And just by hearing basic stuff. But when he rembered Quash’s intelligence, it made sense. So he swallowed back his stunned NPC question. He will only get bullied instead.

"By the way Alan. Can I borrow your sword?"

"Huh? Sure."

Alan handed Quash his sword. Quash unsheathed the sword and handed the scabbard back to Alan. Alan received it with a confused look. But realised why he may have handed back the scabbard. For efficiency. It made Alan wonder if he... but thinking again, it seed useless right?

He couldn’t think of a reason why Quash would do that.

"Stop thinking too loudly you bozo. I don’t need the dramatic effect of a Knight holding a sheathed sword."

"Hehe~."

Hearing that, Alan laughed sheepishly while scratching the back of his head. Quash couldn’t help but sigh and shake his head. He felt like he was slowly getting into that legendary ’misunderstanding trope’ for no reason. But whatever. If it ca to that, he could use that to his advantage.

The protagonists of misunderstanding trope are always too dumb to take advantage. They are either edgy survivor thinking everything is for survival or so pathetic noble who is oblivious to everything.

He wasn’t-

"Well sh-"

Quash neither got to finish his thoughts not his speech before he was pulled into the arena.

He regained the sense of direction and took an offensive stance while his focused his mind, clearing all tue distracting thoughts. He was about to do sothing he had been thinking for a while. If it succeeded, good, if not, also good because he would know where he stands.

Quash’s opponent also took a boxing stance. He wasn’t wearing any armour. Just plain white top and pants with a black belt tied to his waist. He was a tall man. Taller than Quash by many inches. He had a big smile on his face. Excited to face the so called God of Curses he kept hearing from his friends.

And seeing that his opponent was taking him seriously, he felt his blood boil in utter ecstacy. His both fists raised high. Waiting for the match to start.

Quash on the other hand didn’t open his eyes and was fully focused on what he was doing. Suddenly, white lighting started to Crackle around his body. Quash exhaled slowly and opened his eyes. His Ruby eyes shone with iridescent glow. Eyes locked onto his opponent.

Both of them prepared within 1.25 seconds. And the mont the ting sound rang, Quash disappeared from Feock’s view making his eyes go wide. But before he could move, he felt his vision tilt and warm from his left shoulder to right armpit.

He felt, his body severed in two. Sizzling sound rang out from his flesh. And the all the pain hit all at once but he couldn’t scream. And before he could anything else, he felt his consciousness sink deeper before he was pulled out. His body turning to light.

[Winner! Quash Ogmore!]

Quash skidded quite far before stopping. And the mont he did, he was also pulled out.

When he ca back to the bleachers, there was a brief silence around him. They were briefly surprised before they masked it and moved heir focus away from Quash. There was nothing to gain by worrying about a strong opponent.

"Bro what was that? When did you get Lighting Aura Stat? Don’t tell from the Lighting Rain cloud? But how is the white? Isn’t natural Lighting supposed to looked blue when converted into Lighting Aura Stat?"

Quash who was repeatedly replaying the feeling of that mont before he forgot it got hit by Alan’s barage of Questions. He clicked his tounge annoyance before he sat down and handed the sword back. He rembered the feeling and was confident he could do it again, so there was no problem.

"It wasn’t Lighting but Aura acting like one. I will call it Attribute Superimposition."

"Attribute what?"

"Shut the fuck up. I will teach you later."

"OK! My mouth is sealed, sir!"

Quash: "..."
