Fusing with the Witch’s Blood?

The young woman from her vision, the one she’d danced with during her breakthrough, imdiately ca to mind. Especially that last part, where they hugged and she seed to… lt into her.

But…

“‘Her’? Who is ‘Her’?”

“She is the source of the Witch’s Blood.”

“A Witch?”

To this question, Faye did not answer.

She just suddenly stared intently at Pandora, her gaze so sharp it felt like it could rip Pandora’s soul from her fragile shell to examine, to dissect.

“Robin,” her tone suddenly beca grave, carrying an undeniable authority, “Answer truthfully. Your current state… how did you accomplish it?”

Pandora thought carefully.

Faye was asking how she’d perfectly fused with the Witch’s Blood, which should have been repulsive to a Wizard’s power. This question… wasn't actually that complex.

“It was mostly the potion,” she answered, her voice frank and clear. “I killed a man nad ‘Dulles.’ From him, I found a potion formula he created himself, called 【Dulles’s Red Moon's Tears】, along with his complete train of thought and experintal records.”

“It was this potion, this very potion, that helped fuse with the Witch’s Blood during the breakthrough.”

“A potion…” Faye murmured softly.

A flicker of understanding passed through her deep eyes, and then, she frowned.

“His potion… is there any more of it now?”

“There’s one more vial,” Pandora answered. But before her voice had faded, she saw Faye casually wave a hand toward the room at the end of the corridor where she’d just put her things.

The next mont, the vial of potion Pandora had concocted with her own hands—the inferior one, refined without the System’s help—flew from the room, turning into a fleeting shadow, and settled silently onto Faye’s white, jade-like palm.

Faye’s eyes, which seed to hold an ancient starry sky, rely glanced at it. The vial Pandora had used to obtain the 【Template】, along with its solid glass bottle, instantly dissolved without a trace in her palm, as if it had never existed.

“Hmm…” Faye shook her head. A picky, professional look appeared on her perfect, flawless face.

“The theory behind this potion is brilliant. For the Wizard breakthrough process, it adapts to the volatile nature of the Witch’s Blood. Its potential is sky-high.”

“However…” her words shifted. “Theory and practice are forever separated by a gap. No one can achieve absolute perfection.”

“Take the vial I just crushed. The proportions of its materials and the precision of its purification could, at best, achieve ‘soothing’ and ‘guiding.’ There’s no way it could allow a mortal body to truly ‘accept’ a complete Witch’s Blood. Fundantally, the result would be a tragic, one-and-done failure.”

“So…” Faye continued her analysis, her voice quiet but carrying an unconquerable assertion that ca from a higher level of knowledge. Her conclusion, in the end, attributed Pandora’s unique state entirely to Pandora herself.

“You’re special.”

As she said this, her gaze shone with a peculiar light, like a top-tier jeweler examining a never-before-seen, one-of-a-kind treasure.

She stared at Pandora’s body, from top to bottom, and then from bottom to top, scanning it carefully.

Finally, in a tone mixed with admiration and curiosity, she gave her summary—

“…Yes. The reason you succeeded is because you are special.”

Pandora absorbed Faye's conclusion. There were things she wanted to say, of course.

Faye was the sister she trusted most, the only person she was close to without reservation in both worlds. There were no secrets between them; there was nothing that couldn’t be said.

But, since Faye had already made her own deduction, and that deduction wasn’t wrong—Pandora was special, just not in her constitution, but in the System that even she couldn't fully comprehend. Since the result of the deduction was correct, then… there was no need to spoil her sister’s fun, to unveil that mysterious veil, her biggest trump card.

And so, Pandora acquiesced.

She nodded lightly.

“Since you already know the answer, then…” She put on a relaxed expression, trying to steer the topic elsewhere. “Is there anything else urgent? For example, that lock of hair? Are you going to eat it, Sis?”

Faye saw her feigned casualness, let out a small laugh, and shook her head.

“The hair isn’t for ‘testing.” She seed about to explain the hair’s purpose, “but it’s…”

She paused suddenly. A sly, fox-like glint appeared in her beautiful eyes, a mysterious smile spreading on her lips.

“I’ll tell you another ti, my little Robin. For now, please allow to keep this little secret.”

However, Faye’s words were like a needle. They softly, yet firmly, pricked Pandora in the softest spot in her heart.

The smile on Pandora’s face vanished. In an instant, her expression grew heavy.

“Sis…” Her voice was barely a whisper. “You’re… leaving again, aren't you?”

The reason Pandora said this was because, in the depths of her mory, her sister had always been like this. In that wretched family of their past life, she had sacrificed too much for her, and left too much…

Every reunion was as brief as a magnificent dream. Every departure, however, ca so suddenly, so much as a matter of course.

It had left a scar on her soul, one that would never heal.

“Is it possible…” Pandora’s voice trembled, just slightly. Like a plea. “Sis, that this ti… you don’t have to leave?”

She tried hard to make her voice sound less like a plea and more like a statent of fact, backed by enough strength to bring happiness.

“Look,” she said, her gaze sweeping over the familiar corridor, which looked especially serene under the sunset. This was her small world, defended with her life and her power. “I have my most loyal maidservant, and my most reliable knight…”
