Every Apostle knew that ascending chapter difficulty was an action akin to drawing a bow with no turning back.
Quite a few Apostles, whether through misjudging their own strength, an impulsive lapse of judgnt, or wanting to gamble on a breakthrough, rashly ascended difficulty and ended up stuck, trapped in a deadlock.
For all sorts of reasons, there were plenty of Apostles trapped like this. You could even say that unless an Apostle could clear the final difficulty, in the end they could not escape being stuck.
Being stuck was nothing more than two scenarios: voluntarily stuck or passively stuck.
For those passively stuck Apostles, a Reversion Bookmark that allowed them to return to a chapter of the previous difficulty was more precious than a divine-grade artifact.
Lin Xun, however, was not thinking about the passively stuck Apostles, but rather about certain voluntarily stuck Apostles…

After Flanda and Kim learned that the enemy’s numbers were as many as hundreds of thousands, they imdiately left the main force and rushed in the direction of his pursuit.
The two raced forward all the way, but before they could reach their destination, he had already cleared the trial…

At this ti, the surviving elite of the Scorpion Legion had just finished resting and were preparing to board the Military Dragonflies to withdraw and link up with the main force in the rear.
When the Deputy Legate saw the Legate’s two personal guards arrive, it told them, in response to their questions, that the Legate had fulfilled his mission and received a summoning from the supre Firefly, then disappeared.
The two imdiately understood that Lin Xun had completed the trial and left.

“My jinxed mouth really ca true…”
