"How is this possible?!"
Upon seeing the cross-legged figure, the young man in white turned pale, showing a look of incredulity.
He was a naturally gifted exotic species, thriving above the vast ocean with unmatched escape techniques. Whenever he fled, he would repeatedly check for pursuers and saw none. So how had this young man arrived at his lair ahead of him?
Panic welled up in his heart, extinguishing every last spark of fighting spirit. He quickly transford back into his original form, the White Worm, and leaped into the air, ready to dive into the sea.
But just then, a terrifying divine thought ca from afar, roaring like a flood dragon, suddenly attacking his sea of consciousness.
"Go!"
Without hesitation, the White Worm spat out its jade-colored small bell, releasing ripples to fend off the divine thought.
"Boom!"
Yet at that mont, an exquisite jade tower suddenly descended behind the young man. From within the tower, a phantom of a jade water fire-eyed ape with golden eyes silently erged.
The ape phantom, whose cultivation was at the early Earth Demon Realm, had its cultivation greatly decreased upon entering the tower, barely maintaining its Earth Demon Realm status, but its eyes still shone brightly and dazzlingly.
At that mont, the ape phantom suddenly opened its eyes, releasing an intention as radiant as a great sun. It attacked the White Worm’s sea of consciousness in tandem with the Three-Eyed Thunder Flood Dragon.
"Buzz buzz!"
The jade-colored small bell trembled, struggling to resist these two intentions.
But the divine sense of the Three-Eyed Thunder Flood Dragon was already formidable; the jade-colored small bell was hard-pressed to withstand it. When the Jade Water Fire-Eyed Ape’s Fire Eye Technique ca, it beca the last straw.
The jade bell let out a mournful sound, its spiritual light dimming, and fell to the ground.
"Ah!"
The power of divine sense, swift as lightning, overwheld the White Worm without the bell’s protection. It let out a shrill scream, eyes bleeding, as if a flood dragon tore through its mind, causing unbearable pain and a montary ntal lapse.
"Zheng!!"
In that brief mont, eighteen sword lights ca simultaneously, slashing toward a jade-colored carapace on the White Worm’s body.
"Clang!"
The White Worm, a naturally gifted exotic species, had a sturdy physical body, and its carapace was extrely tough. Even the eighteen sword lights couldn’t pierce it instantly.
Yet the sword lights were as swift as thunder and as endless as the vast sea, relentless and inexhaustible. Within two breaths, the carapace beca ragged and fragile.
"No!"
At that mont, the White Worm finally regained a shred of consciousness from the indescribable agony, eyes filled with fear. The demon pill in its abdon flickered with lightning, and its six remaining legs glowed brightly, emitting a sharp Qi.
"Swish swish swish!"
But a phantom of a green vine materialized, suddenly entwining around it.
This vine was ancient and profound, covered in mysterious Dao Patterns, seemingly capable of confining both flood dragons and the world itself, exuding an inexplicable mystical aura.
Just as the White Worm’s demon pill showed signs of action, its entire body seed to freeze, unable to move. Subsequently, the eighteen sword lights whistled down once more, forcefully stabbing through.
"Bang!"
"Puff!"
The carapace could no longer withstand the flood of sharp sword lights and exploded with a loud noise, allowing the eighteen sword lights to pierce through the White Worm’s body like a dragon roar of sword Qi.
"Bang!"
The White Worm’s spirit flickered out in an instant, its body plumting to the ground, lifeless.
"Whizz!"
And the whistling sword Qi lifted a round, shiny object flickering with traces of lightning into Gu Yuan’s palm.
The Demon Pill!
As soon as Gu Yuan saw the demon pill, he was determined to seize it.
As for grievances and rights or wrongs, they were unnecessary to discuss.
The White Worm attacked Suyin Island; did it ask if Suyin Island was right or wrong?
When the Cyan Peak Daoist School waged war on the Red Moon River, they never counted the sins of the Jade Water Fire-Eyed Ape clan. In the great age of competition, the strong survive without questioning right or wrong.
"Congratulations to the Great King, felicitations to the Great King on slaying the demon worm and dominating Thunderwood Island!"
"Congratulations to the Great King, felicitations to the Great King!"
As the battle concluded, all sorts of demons erged from around the island’s Cave Mansion. Leading them was an old Turtle Demon with a shell-like back and dark skin.
Wearing an extrely flattering smile, the Turtle Demon led the demons in kneeling before Gu Yuan, respectfully addressing him as the Great King.
Gu Yuan did not reply, rely collecting the demon pill and the White Worm’s spiritual artifact and corpse while silently observing the little demons.
After the White Worm fled Suyin Island, Gu Yuan had used the Azure Roaming Heaven-Evading Seal to tail this demon.
Gu Yuan initially planned to intercept and kill it midway, but seeing the White Worm’s repeated escapes ultimately aid in one direction, he decided to wait until it reached the island. He then used the Azure Roaming Heaven-Evading Seal to arrive ahead of it and lay in wait.
Gu Yuan’s goal was not only to seize the demon pill but also to claim its place of cultivation.
Having been abruptly transported to the Western Sea Realm, unfamiliar with the terrain, he had no foothold. Staying on Suyin Island, a place of yang-absorbing demonesses, was not a long-term option. Thus, he took the opportunity to slay the demon and claim the island, achieving multiple goals in one stroke.
But...these little demons?
"Great King, my kind has lived on this island for generations, serving three Island Lords loyally. Please feel at ease while cultivating here; all spirit fruits, spiritual springs, and Thunderwood gathering will be managed by us without troubling the Great King."
Noticing the coldness in Gu Yuan’s eyes, the Turtle Demon hurriedly kowtowed repeatedly, begging.
"You have served three Island Lords?"
Gu Yuan raised an eyebrow slightly.
"The Great King may not know, but in the Ten Thousand Islands Sea, where fish and dragons mix, there are countless loose cultivators and exotic beasts. Island Lords often change, as power struggles here are common. This island, nad Thunderwood Island, wasn’t originally ruled by this demon worm, who seized it from a Sea Demon Cyan Bull. We were originally under the demon bull, doing nial chores, and continued to do such tasks under the demon worm. Now, with the Great King’s divine presence taking this island, we are willing to serve you loyally!"
The Turtle Demon led the demons in constant supplication before Gu Yuan.
Gu Yuan was taken aback, surprised by the frequent power struggles, and frequent changes in ownership in this unfamiliar place. The little demons seed to have beco accustod to it, a practice turned tradition.
Truly, the soldiers were fixed, while the Earth Demons flowed.
"I see you’re over a century old and have served three Island Lords. Do you understand the situation in the Ten Thousand Islands Sea?"
Gu Yuan mused briefly before inquiring.
"I dare not deceive the Great King. My cultivation level isn’t deep, and I know little, although I do occasionally gather resources for the kings, and therefore have so understanding, albeit limited to the surrounding islands. If the Great King seeks a better understanding of the situation, Flying Fish Island is eight hundred miles away and hosts a Flying Fish Market, which the Insect Demon visited regularly whenever it erged from seclusion."
"With the Great King’s power, you should be able to obtain what you need."
The Turtle Demon prostrated on the ground, answering cautiously.
"So be it, you ought to do your job well!"
Gu Yuan nodded slightly, then with a flick of his finger, a sharp sword light swiftly struck into the Turtle Demon’s abdon.
"Do your job well, or your life is forfeit!"
Gu Yuan softly warned before his figure blurred and moved toward the White Worm’s cultivation Cave Mansion.
