Lin Li stood his ground, nonchalantly parrying the giant rat Mutant Beast’s entire wind-swift assault, occasionally landing a kick or a sword strike of his own.
’So strong! This man is so strong!’ The young man was shaken to his core as he watched his rescuer toy with the terrifying Mutant Beast that had utterly crushed him.
’Such confidence, such power... This is the kind of Exotic Beast Hunter I aspire to be.’

The Spiritual Longsword, glowing with a faint golden Spiritual Light, once again left a bloody gash on the giant rat Mutant Beast’s body.

The pain from its many wounds caused the giant rat Mutant Beast to let out a piercing shriek.
It had attacked Lin Li again and again, all to no avail. Gradually, the giant rat Mutant Beast’s state of mind began to shift.
Its initial glee at seeing Lin Li as prey gave way to annoyance at its failed attacks. Now, as the wounds multiplied and the pain intensified, all other emotions twisted into fear.
