Lin Li never expected to be so lucky today.
In less than an hour and a half, he had harvested three Mutant Beasts. That was a fortune!
"The combined weight of these three Mutant Beasts is more than a small transport drone can handle. I’ll have to order a dium-sized one now."
Lin Li looked at the three Mutant Beasts piled together, their combined weight conservatively estimated at over twelve hundred pounds. He muttered to himself, then pulled his phone from his pocket to summon a transport drone.
Just as Lin Li unlocked his phone screen, ready to open the app and place the order, the joyful smile on his face vanished. He locked the screen and put the phone back in his pocket.
A violent rustling sound ca from the dense thicket in the distance.
RUSTLE, RUSTLE, RUSTLE...
It was the sound of branches and leaves hitting sothing—sothing enormous.
The creature in the thicket didn’t keep Lin Li waiting long. A gray Bear Beast, much larger than the black one he had just killed, shot out from the brush.
’Look at my luck, it’s just too good! I just killed one Mutant Beast, and another one shows up right away... Hmm? The Spiritual Energy Wave from this one is so strong! But it’s fine, I should be able to handle it.’
Lin Li had no idea what connection the black Bear Beast he had just killed had with this gray one. For now, he just chalked it up to his good luck.
ROAR...
After bursting out of the thicket, the gray Bear Beast imdiately saw its lifeless mate.
It let out a grief-stricken howl, then turned to the culprit who had killed its mate, its blood-red eyes locked onto him.
The gray Bear Beast decided that today, no matter the cost, it would kill this detestable human and avenge its dead mate.
’Why is this gray Bear Beast looking at like that...’ Lin Li clearly felt the killing intent from the powerful, formidable Mutant Beast before him.
He had never felt such killing intent before. The intent from the other Mutant Beasts he had hunted, even in their final monts, was nothing compared to the intensity radiating from this gray Bear Beast.
If the gray Bear Beast’s soaring rage could take physical form, Lin Li would already be engulfed in a sea of flas.

The red-eyed gray Bear Beast roared at Lin Li. It then activated its Superpower, and the gray fur on its body began to grow rapidly, twisting and writhing as if it had a life of its own.

The crimson-eyed gray Bear Beast roared and charged toward Lin Li on its four powerful legs.
Its massive, seemingly clumsy body, over nine feet long, was surprisingly fast. In the blink of an eye, it was right in front of him.
It then pounced, its enormous body lunging at Lin Li. At the sa ti, the living-like gray fur on its body fanned out, forming a net that enveloped him.
Faced with the gray Bear Beast’s ferocious attack, Lin Li had no intention of clashing head-on. He leaped backward, dodging the pounce.
Although he escaped the pounce, the beast’s gray fur still ca wrapping around him.
The nearly seven-foot-long gray fur suddenly shot out even further. In an instant, it grew from seven feet to over sixteen feet long and whipped frantically toward Lin Li.
Pouring Spiritual Energy into his Spiritual Longsword, Lin Li made the blade bloom with a faint golden Spiritual Light. He swung his weapon, slashing at the encroaching gray fur.
SWISH, SWISH, SWISH...
Although the way the gray Bear Beast’s fur twisted and writhed was unsettling, the overgrown strands were, in the end, just fur.
Infused with Lin Li’s Spiritual Energy, the sharp Spiritual Longsword beca even deadlier, making it relatively easy to cut through the gray fur.
With a few slashes, he severed all the gray fur that had wrapped around him.
After freeing himself from the tangled fur, Lin Li retreated several more ters to maintain a safe distance from the gray Bear Beast.
This first exchange was rely a probing attack from both sides; neither had used their full strength.
The gray Bear Beast paid no mind to the severed fur scattered on the ground. Its blood-red eyes remained locked on Lin Li.
ROAR... After a low growl, the fur on the gray Bear Beast’s body grew back rapidly, returning to its length from before Lin Li had cut it.
Lin Li saw that the fur he had just cut had already regenerated. He knew he couldn’t get rid of the beast’s endless supply of fur with just his Spiritual Longsword. He would have to try a different approach.
FWOOSH.
Lin Li, holding his sword in his right hand, raised his left. He pointed his index finger, and a small, pigeon’s-egg-sized fla appeared out of thin air. Within a single breath, an eight-inch-diater Fireball materialized at his fingertip.
"Heh heh, since you’re using your Superpower to make your fur so lush, let’s see if you still dare to use it when you’re facing my Fla Attack."
Lin Li chuckled as he looked at the gray Bear Beast. Then, with a wave of his hand, he hurled the Fireball at it!
’??? The gray Bear Beast never expected that this detestable human, like itself, had also awakened a Superpower—and a Fla Superpower, at that.’
Its own lush fur was excellent kindling. If that Fireball hit, it would be engulfed in flas.
ROAR...
Facing the incoming Fireball, the gray Bear Beast let out a low growl and quickly dodged to the side.
At the sa ti, it deactivated its Superpower, causing its gray fur to shrink back to its normal length.
