Now reading: Chapter 404 - 174: The Human Race Behaving Like Beasts, Yet from I Steal the Ancestors' Sacrifices to Nourish Myself, a Eastern novel by The hermit has a clever plan..

The Dragon Horned Wilderness Beast didn’t respond to the Golden Sword Tiger and directly charged into the river valley, crossing small hills and streams along the way, searching for the deer herd.

On the way, if it encountered any Wild Beasts that seed sowhat mystical, it would chase them to examine their Spiritual Wisdom.

If the Spiritual Wisdom was lacking, it would directly devour them.

As it walked, the Dragon Horned Wilderness Beast suddenly halted, and Shen Lian sitting on the dragon’s back opened his eyes.

"You really have left progeny behind."

He sat in the hollow of the dragon’s neck, which was wide and comfortable, just as a surge of blood raged within the dragon horn’s body, and a force of Dragon Power swirled within its dragon bones.

anwhile.

Twelve miles away in the forest, a young deer playing in the woods suddenly felt a commotion within its body.

It began to run around the forest on its four little legs.

Yet still, it felt a kind of burning resonance within, and it opened its mouth wide, howling into the woods.

"Yow yow yow!"

"Yow yow!"

"Roar!"

The little one’s voice was tender, but after a few calls, it suddenly emitted a dragon’s roar.

The majestic aura of the Dragon Race spread throughout the forest.

The little deer playing in the woods was scared out of its wits, its legs weak, collapsing onto the ground.

The larger deer beasts outside the woods were also frightened, and among the dozen or so running, their legs failed them, causing them to crash headfirst into the mud.

Roar!

At the sa ti, a louder dragon’s roar echoed, resonating through the mountains, forests, and marshes.

Other wild deer in the forest fell to the ground, while herbivorous Wild Beasts elsewhere fled in panic.

"Roar!"

The dragon horned fawn in the forest widened its eyes, getting excited and raising its head.

"Roar!"

With another dragon’s roar, a doe bathed in three-colored radiance suddenly appeared and leaped in front of the dragon horned fawn.

"Yow yow!"

At the edge of the forest, two enormous Wild Beasts approached, causing the forest to tremble, and the entire herd bowed down, trembling in fear.

Only the three-colored doe and the Jade-Horned Deer could still stand.

The fawn widened its eyes, with wandering eyes, finally landing on the massive body of the Dragon Horned Wilderness Beast.

"Old Dragon, you’re impressive."

"The bloodline aura is even stronger than yours."

Originally, the dragon horn didn’t care about offspring, but when it saw the dragon horned fawn, it showed a trace of excitent.

The bloodline was stronger than expected.

To find the marked map and locate a family of three was sothing Shen Can hadn’t anticipated.

Even beasts have started their families, yet so "tribe mbers" still lack a mate.

The three-colored deer warily looked at the dragon horn, the Golden Sword, and Shen Can, shielding the fawn beneath her.

But the fawn was extrely excited, calling out to the dragon horn.

"Roar!"

"Yow yow!"

"Roar!"

"Yow yow."

...

Shen Can jumped onto the Golden Sword’s back, the Golden Sword glanced sideways at the dragon horn, snorting warm air through its nostrils and grunted, "It’s Brother Dragon’s turn."

With that, it took Shen Can towards another part of the river valley.

...

"The three-colored deer is not bad."

On the tiger’s back, Shen Can heard the Golden Sword speak and was montarily stunned.

"I ant the bloodline."

"You better be talking about the bloodline."

"..."

The Golden Sword was speechless, it indeed ant the bloodline, it’s just that the Old Dragon wasn’t so particular.

It still preferred pure-blooded tigresses.

...

Two days later.

Shen Can’s team had two more deer.

The fawn received the sa treatnt as Shen Can, and rode on the dragon horn’s back.

Its big watery eyes didn’t show any shyness, leaning against Shen Can, occasionally nudging him gently with its head.

The three-colored deer’s strength and bloodline were not inferior to the Golden Sword or dragon horn, otherwise, it couldn’t have birthed the dragon horned fawn.

The fawn grew very slowly, due to inheriting the dual bloodlines of the Seven-Colored Jade Spirit Deer and the Dragon Race.

As for the deer herd, in the three-colored deer’s eyes, they weren’t considered part of the sa tribe, but rely shared the sa habitat.

After all, those Wild Deer had excessively poor bloodlines.

...

Giant Mountain Range, Cloud Mountain River Valley.

On the banks of a great river, lush with water and grass, a herd of Yellow Sheep with single horns frolicked by the water.

In the bushes in the distance from the riverbank, an arrowhead slowly erged.

With a ’twang’, the arrowhead pierced into the body of a Yellow Sheep.

Instantly, the Yellow Sheep and other Wild Beasts by the river scattered in surprise, leaving one Yellow Sheep struggling by the riverside.

Two young n quickly burst from the bushes, one holding a large black bow, the other clutching a rope made of animal hide.

Upon reaching the Yellow Sheep, the youth with the rope swiftly dealt with the sheep, tied it up, and slung it over his shoulder.

"Let’s go, today’s harvest was good, it should satisfy the Holy Ape’s appetite."

One kept watch while the other carried the Yellow Sheep across a barren grassland, arriving at a small settlent beneath a hill.

Below the hill was a modest settlent, surrounded by a stone fence.

As the two returned, there was already smoke curling in the air from the settlent.

"Clan elders, we’ve returned. We caught a Yellow Sheep today, maybe tonight if the Holy Ape visits the village, it won’t capture anyone from our settlent."

When they entered the settlent, a burly man with a broken arm approached, nodded at the sight of the Yellow Sheep they had hunted.

"Quickly bleed and skin it, otherwise, if it’s left too long, it’ll be hard to deal with."

"And next ti, don’t be so late. What if you encounter the Holy Ape outside, will you make it back!"

The youth wanted to argue but thought better of it, grabbing the Yellow Sheep, hanging it on a wooden fra, and starting to butcher it quickly.

They didn’t want to return late either, but Yellow Sheep were very alert, hard to capture during the day, only letting their guard down when they drank water.

Soon, the processed Yellow Sheep was placed in a smooth stone trough.

Besides the sheep at, there were also so bird eggs and jerky, all drizzled with the previous Yellow Sheep’s blood.

"Alright, everyone stay inside after dinner, don’t co out. The Holy Ape passes the village quickly, and don’t cause a scene to avoid angering it."

Then everyone finished their als, closed their doors, and extinguished the oil lamps.

The night was silent under the bright moon and stars.

The next morning, the man with the broken arm rose early, seeing the untouched at.

He imdiately called for people to take the sheep at down to be divided, and what couldn’t be eaten was made into jerky.

In the morning, the clansn who had eaten their breakfast headed to work in the fields outside, while ten strong n with bows started hunting.

Near sunset, the hunting clansn returned, having had good luck, bringing back a small Wild Deer.

In the open space within the settlent, they quickly cleaned the small Wild Deer and placed it in a stone trough.

Following the previous day’s pattern, they added bird eggs and jerky, drizzling it with beast blood.

As night fell, the beast lamps were extinguished, and doors were tightly shut, the settlent hushed.

That night passed quietly, with the deer at divided the next day, and the settlent busy with work.

That evening, the sa offerings were placed on the settlent grounds.

The night, once again, remained undisturbed and peaceful.

Over the next month, the settlent stopped preparing the necessary offerings, until the start of the next month.

The sa sacrifice resud once more.

On the night of the second day of the month.

Outside the quiet settlent, sounds suddenly erupted.

Shadowy figures flipped and leapt towards the village, letting out whooshing, roaring, screeching calls.

Most were slightly larger than humans, with a few rare ones nearly ten feet tall.

These figures were covered in yellow hair, with facial features similar to the Human Race, but moving and leaping like apes, walking on tiptoe, with eyes showing a blood-red hue.

Dozens of ape shadows leapt into the settlent, dexterously reaching the settlent’s front grounds, grabbing and devouring the offerings laid out.

But a small amount of beast at couldn’t satisfy this group of apes, and soon even the bird eggs were chewed clean.

Roar roar!

After licking the blood from the trough, one beast grabbed the trough and hurled it at a house.

With a crash, the house collapsed, revealing a family with faces of terror.

Roar roar roar!

Dozens of ape shadows rushed into the ruined house, dragging the people inside out, and rushed out of the settlent.
