Once Maya had gone inside the house, she pulled Edward again for another kiss, her hands roaming his hair, chest, and back possessively, moaning into his mouth. "God, even a kiss feels so good." She said, taking a breath before going in for another.
It wasn’t long before they were on the wall, her back pressed against it while her legs wrapped around him as he lifted her into it. Edward was wearing a light underwear, so his bulge shot out well, enough that her skirt that had now risen to her waist left enough room for it to rub against her wet slit, pressing in through the fabric. The feeling was sothing else, drawing a long sweet moan from her.
After several minutes, Maya had to force herself to calm down for a mont, and Edward decided it was best like that, he hadn’t had anything good to eat yet, he would need the energy.
Maya had to fight hard to restrain herself. She took a deep breath and forced herself to slow down.
"Let’s eat first," Edward said with a soft smile.
"Let’s." She said, mirroring his smile. "I’m actually starving."
They settled on the couch and shared a relaxed al together. Light conversation flowed easily while they ate, which was mostly about her stressful workday and how much her boss was out for her life all together. They made a few jokes here and there, if soone was to walk in on them, they’d think these two were couples or sothing. Who would guess that this was just their second ti with each other?
As for Edward, he remained vague when asked about what he did for work, just vaguely ntioning that he was "taking so ti off." They soon finished one full order and decided to store the second in the freezer for later. While they could eat it, it was better not to be too full.
Once they were done and Maya trashed and took care of what was left, she stretched and sat on Edward’s laps, both legs to the side while they kissed again. When Edward’s fingers found her clit, Maya stopped him and got up with a sheepish smile on her face, stating that she needed to take a quick bath.
"I need a quick bath to freshen up. Today was long."
Edward nodded, understanding. He himself did the sa before she arrived, even though he didn’t need to. "Go ahead. I’ll be right here."
Maya disappeared into the bedroom bathroom, taking off her clothes before going in, wishing her had brought extra underwears. "I’ll just drive back ho tomorrow bare." Edward could hear the shower running as he relaxed on the couch, taking out his phone to watch so short videos.
A few minutes later, the water from the bathroom stopped and Maya ca out, talking to Edward abaout sothing funny that happened to her.
When she got no response, she frowned slightly, looking towards the living room, since the door was slightly open, he should be able to hear her. "Edward?" she called from the bedroom, still drying herself. "Are you there?"
No answer.
She frowned slightly. "Edward?"
When silence greeted her again, Maya wrapped a white towel around her body and stepped out into the living room.
The mont she entered, her heart nearly stopped.
Edward was sitting on the couch, visibly tense, a thin layer of cold sweat on his forehead. Standing in the middle of the living room was a tall woman that was easily 6 feet, dressed entirely in black tactical clothing. She had a long ponytail and wore a half-mask that covered the lower half of her face, leaving only her sharp, cold eyes visible.
Maya’s expression hardened instantly.
"You followed us all the way here..." she said, stepping fully into the living room. "How did you know?" She asked, her question suggesting that this wasn’t her first ti eting this strange figure.
The woman in black let out a low, mocking scoff. "You know the saying, where there is a hole, water spills." She said, her voice smooth but dangerous.
Maya understood what she ant by that instantly. Sothing close had been talking.
Edward sat frozen, trying to process what was happening. ’Maya actually knows this crazy woman? What the hell is going on?’ He thought. ’And what organization would attract enemies with powers?’ He thought to himself.
This woman had literally materialized into his living room from a shallow corner. He didn’t need to think twice to know that she was a superhuman.
The masked woman tilted her head, studying Maya with amusent.
"Those fools have nothing to offer you, and you know it. They’ve been wasting your potential, turning you into nothing more than a glorified secretary. What a pathetic joke." Her eyes glead. "You could do so much more. Beco so much more. Surpass every limit and rise beyond what they could ever dream of." She said.
Maya’s jaw tightened. "I already gave you my answer before. I’m not interested."
She focused inwardly, trying to activate her ability, but the mont she did, a sharp pain exploded in her head. Her heart pounded violently in her chest, her vision blurred, and with a gasp, her knees buckled and she dropped heavily onto the floor.
The woman in black laughed coldly.
"Look at you. Pathetic. You tried to use your power just now, didn’t you? But you’re too exhausted." She shook her head in mock pity. "Such an incredible gift... and you waste it doing paperwork, organizing calendars, and fetching coffee. You could change the entire world, yet here you are, on your knees, weak and spent, because you’ve been running yourself ragged for people who don’t deserve you, wasting such marvelous ability." She said, the last part carrying a ting of sothing darker, perhaps anger.
Edward’s eyes widened in shock. ’Maya has superpowers?’ The realization hit him like a truck. The woman he had folded in half and fucked for hours yesterday was apparently soone with real abilities. And from the sound of it, very powerful ones.
What the fuck was happening to his life all of a sudden??
Maya stayed on her knees, breathing hard, one hand pressed against her throbbing temple. Sweat rolled down her neck and disappeared into the towel barely covering her chest. She glared up at the intruder with defiance, even as her body trembled from exhaustion.
The woman in black took one slow step forward, her presence suffocating the room.
"Co with , you idiot. Leave these weaklings behind." She said in form of a request than command.
