Before Youyue could finish, Qiao Xixi shoved her head back underwater.
Just then, Jin Ling ran out from the woods by the shore, jumped into the water, and bit onto Qiao Xixi’s clothes, pulling her back to land.

Qiao Xixi dragged Youyue into the woods.
Youyue was completely exhausted and had no strength to break free.

Qiao Xixi stood at the edge of the pit, looking down on her.
"Killing you would just dirty my hands. Cubs, she’s all yours."
The three cubs leaped from the trees into the pit, each shifting into their beast forms.
Qiao Ang’s eyes glinted with cold fury. "You hurt our friend. We will never let you go!"
The mont he finished speaking, Qiao Ang lunged at Youyue.
"Ah!" Youyue scrambled back in terror. Qiao Ang hadn’t touched her, but she was so frightened she couldn’t even stand up.
Jin Ling erged, leading a Wild Bull Beast, and drove it into the pit.
"Qiaoqiao, you all be careful."
The Wild Bull Beast, already agitated from being controlled by Jin Ling, stomped its hooves furiously after entering the pit and charged in Youyue’s direction.
"Ah!"
Youyue shifted into her beast form, trying to leap out of the pit to escape. But the instant she jumped, Qiao Lie entangled her limbs, immobilizing her completely. Just as the Wild Bull Beast was about to hit, Qiao Lie quickly let go and dodged aside.

The Wild Bull Beast slamd squarely into Youyue, the pain so intense her eyes rolled back in her head.

Youyue tried to flee, but every ti, the cubs blocked her path.

Qiao Xixi had Jin Ling quickly butcher the Wild Bull Beast. After she stored all the at in her space, they quickly headed down the mountain from a different direction.
Just as Gu Li reached the edge of the woods, a dull ache pierced his heart.
