Above the waters near the rman territory was an inconspicuous island.
When Xijing and his people went to settle the score with the Shark Beast Clan, he had the Sea Turtle Beast take Qiao Xixi and the others to this island.
The island wasn’t large. A small, gently rising hill stood in its center, covered in lush vegetation.
"Mother, when I was little, Father used to bring here to play. There’s a stone house up ahead. I’ll take you there."
Xiya took Qiao Xixi’s hand and eagerly led her forward.
Qiao Xixi followed Xiya to a stone house.
Perhaps because no one had visited for a long ti, the entrance to the stone house was covered in cobwebs.
Xiya broke off a branch and swept the cobwebs away before pushing open the stone door and looking at Qiao Xixi.
"Mother, let’s go inside and rest."
Qiao Xixi walked into the stone house and froze on the spot, staring at the furnishings inside.
Everything here was identical to the ice cave from the illusion. The only difference was that back then, they had stayed in an ice cave; this was a stone house.
Sangze followed them in and gave the house a quick cleaning. Since it had been uninhabited for so ti, dust covered everything.
After wiping the stone house clean, Sangze took the dirty water outside to dump it. When he ca back in, he saw Qiao Xixi sitting on the bed in a daze.
"Xixi, are you hungry? Sunxiao is already roasting so fish beast at. It’ll be ready soon."
Qiao Xixi snapped out of it and shook her head. "I’m not hungry. I just had a lot of fruit."
"Xixi, are you worried about Xijing?"
Qiao Xixi didn’t deny it. "Yeah. I wonder how things are going."
She had suggested that Sunxiao and the others go help, but Xijing had refused.
"Xixi, with the Blue Whale Beast there, they definitely won’t lose."
"Yeah."
Qiao Xixi figured that while Xijing and his people could certainly handle the Shark Beast Clan alone, the last two tis he’d been in danger were due to joint land, sea, and air attacks.
This ti, although they had caught the Shark Beast Clan by surprise, there was no guarantee the enemy wouldn’t be prepared.
To make matters worse, Xiaoyao wasn’t here, so she had no way to investigate the specific situation in these waters.
What Qiao Xixi didn’t expect was that her guess was correct.
When the Shark Beast Clan saw Xijing and his people approaching so aggressively, they imdiately sent soone to find the Land Beasts still guarding the salt fields.
Songyan was extrely surprised when he received the news.
"Are you saying those rfolk aren’t dead?"
"That’s right. They’ve co back to fight."
Songyan’s face darkened. Xijing and the others were in the sea now, making it difficult for his forces to act.
"Go. Find a way to drive them to the waters around this island chain."
"Yes."
After the Shark Beast left, Songyan imdiately summoned his beastman subordinates.
"Get everything ready. Take the Golden Eagle Beasts and head to that sea region imdiately."
"Yes."
In the deep sea, the rfolk and the Shark Beasts were locked in a fierce battle.
With the addition of the Blue Whale Beast, the rman clan showed an overwhelming advantage.
"King, it’s no good! Those rfolk are too ruthless. If this goes on, we’re going to lose."
"Has Songyan received the ssage?"
"The ssage has been delivered. He wants us to lure the rfolk to the surface so his forces can attack."
"Good. Do as he says. Pass the order: all Shark Beasts are to surface."
At the Shark Beast King’s command, all the fighting Shark Beasts quickly fled.
Xijing and his people wanted to annihilate the Shark Beast Clan in one fell swoop, not simply drive them away.
"After them."
The Blue Whale Beast watched the direction the Shark Beasts fled and spoke slowly, "Be careful. It’s the shallows up ahead; I can’t go any further. I will guard this area. You go on and give chase."
"Alright."
Qiao Xixi ca out of the stone house on the island and looked up to see Golden Eagle Beasts flying rapidly in a certain direction.
"Why are there so many Golden Eagle Beasts here?"
She quickly opened Xijing’s locator—sothing she had redeed points for and bound to him back at the Sea Cliff Deep Gully. "The Golden Eagle Beasts are heading in Xijing’s direction."
Qiao Xixi hadn’t forgotten that the two tis Xijing’s group had suffered losses, it had been because of this Wing Clan.
"Sunxiao, I want to go see."
She had found Xijing after so much trouble; she didn’t want to see anything happen to him again.
Sunxiao’s serpentine eyes darkened. He simply said, "I’ll go."
"No! This ti, take with you!"
Sunxiao lowered his gaze, his brow furrowing as he saw the determination in her eyes.
Qiao Xixi bit her lip and held onto his hand tightly. "Trust this once. I... I’m really strong now!"
Sunxiao averted his gaze and let out a soft breath. As he looked down, he concealed the doting look in his eyes. "Alright. Then I’ll see for myself just how strong Xixi has beco."
Sunxiao turned to Sangze and said, "Take good care of Xiya."
Sangze was surprised. "Aren’t we going?"
Sunxiao’s gaze paused for a mont. "What would you do there?" he said indifferently.
Sangze froze. He felt like he’d just been scorned!
"Sangze, you take care of Xiya. We’ll be back soon."
With that, Sunxiao’s long tail wrapped around Qiao Xixi, lifting her onto his body, and in the blink of an eye, they disappeared from the island.
Xiya was inside the house cutting fruit for Qiao Xixi. When she ca out, she was nowhere to be seen.
"Sangze, I want to go help my father too."
Sangze frowned. "Xiya, I want to go too."
Xiya’s big eyes lit up. "Then let’s hurry and go!"
Sangze snapped back to his senses and quickly reached out to pull the little one back.
"We can’t, Xiya. Xixi told you to stay put on the island."
Xiya’s little face puffed up as she tried to persuade Sangze, but while he nodded in agreent, he wouldn’t let her leave.
Oh well. The little one gave up.
Qiao Xixi hugged Sunxiao’s head tightly. The rfolk following behind them were very worried.
"The King told Qiao Xixi to stay on the island, and we just let her leave. He won’t bla us, will he?"
"I wanted to stop them, but look at that snake beast. Is he soone we can stop? Let’s just follow. They’re Land Beasts, after all. If they drown, we can at least drag them back."
What the rfolk didn’t expect was that the snake beast moved just as freely in the water. The main reason was that as a Heaven-Swallowing Python, his hide was thick and tough, and the seawater could hardly corrode his scales.
They followed the flight path of the Golden Eagle Beasts and soon saw the island with the salt fields.
From a distance, Qiao Xixi could already see a group of Land Beasts on the island.
"The King and the others are here too."
Sunxiao straightened his body in the water, his elevated line of sight allowing them to see the rfolk and Shark Beasts gradually surfacing.
At that mont, Songyan, who was seated on a Golden Eagle Beast, watched the approaching rfolk and slowly raised his hand.

Xijing’s expression darkened as he watched the approaching Golden Eagle Beasts.
"Everyone, sink into the water! Quickly!"
The Golden Eagle Beasts swooped lower, dumping the powder from their claws down onto the area of the sea where Xijing and his people were.
"What is that stuff?"
"It’s poison! It’s the sa poison that got us before."
