"What’s going on?"
Ximing swam over. "I just saw my brother chasing after the Shark Beast King," he said. "But when I followed, they were gone. The Shark Beast King is cunning. I’m worried sothing might have happened to my brother."
Qiao Xixi frowned, pulling up the tracking system. She saw that Xijing was indeed getting farther and farther away.
She dove cleanly into the water. "I know where he is. Follow ."
To Qiao Xixi’s surprise, the mont she hit the water, her long, slender legs visibly transford into an azure fishtail.
She was stunned, but then she rembered what Xijing had told her.
Once bonded with a rman, she could take on their form in the water. After her fishtail appeared, she noticed her ears had also changed. Even without Ximing giving her Water Avoidance, she could breathe freely underwater.

Xijing grabbed her panicked hand, his voice a frail whisper.
"Xixi, that Shark Beast King is truly powerful. I... COUGH COUGH... was gravely injured by him. I... I can’t hold on much longer..."
Qiao Xixi glared fiercely at the Shark Beast King, who was floating in the water, on its last breath.
