When the Shaman and the others found Mi Qi, she was also surprised.
She had thought Qiao Xixi had co down from the mountain long ago.

Jin Ling used his claws to cut the vines binding her.
Qiao Xixi shook her head.
"I’m fine."
Jin Ling gently placed her on the ground, then turned and sent the male long-ard ape flying with a swipe of his paw.
The male long-ard ape’s body faltered, and he tumbled down a slope.
Just as he thought he was about to die, a cold body caught him.
The male long-ard ape looked closely and was so frightened he began to tremble uncontrollably.
"M-My Lord..."
In the darkness, a pair of ghastly green eyes stared coldly at him.
"I sent you to capture the female. Where is she?"
"We... we caught her, but a male Golden Tiger Beast snatched her back. My Lord, that female is the Priest! She’s incredibly powerful—she can heal beastn on the verge of death. My Lord, you must capture her."
"Where?" the hoarse voice sounded again.
The male long-ard ape pointed up the slope.
"J-Just up there."
The pair of ghastly green eyes slowly lifted, glancing upward.
Then, sharp claws shot forward, piercing the male long-ard ape’s throat.
"Go up. Capture that male."
"Yes."
In the darkness, pair after pair of ghastly green eyes lit up.
Their figures shot rapidly up the slope.
Qiao Xixi climbed onto Jin Ling’s back.
Just as they were about to leave, Jin Ling suddenly let out a low growl in the direction of the slope.
The hair on Qiao Xixi’s entire body stood on end.
She felt a lethal danger approaching.
Soon, dark figures began to flash into view in the gloom.
Their ghastly green eyes glinted with cold light in the darkness.
"She’s there! Get her!"
"Xixi, hold on tight."
Qiao Xixi gripped Jin Ling’s fur tightly and lowered her body.
Jin Ling turned and ran.
The dark figures gave chase imdiately, a bloodthirsty, excited light glinting in their eyes.
"You... cannot escape!"
