Chapter 1160: Chapter 1159: Legend, the World Beyond the Gate

The giant claw stretched across the sea, stirring countless black waters, and landed heavily on the Deep Sea Black Ice Mountain.

“Ancestor!” the nearby figures shouted urgently.

“The ice mountain cannot be destroyed!”

With a loud “boom,” the peak of the ice mountain fractured, shards falling from above.

The giant claw swung again, sending an icy shard flying toward Xu Zii.

Xu Zii extended his hand and directly caught the incoming shard.

In an instant, upon contact with the shard, he was encased in ice.

Frozen into a statue.

“Crack, crackling,” sounds resounded as fissures spread across the ice statue, shattering it into pieces.

“Such intense frost,” Xu Zii murmured to himself, quickly storing the shard away.

“Thanks.”

“Rember what you promised—never to set foot here again,” the colossal entity in the darkness spoke.

As Xu Zii’s figure disappeared, the previously silent sea floor beca noisy.

“Ancestor, why did you give him the Deep Sea Black Ice? This is the foundation of our cultivation!”

“Indeed, such a massive piece of black ice could sustain our cultivation for tens of thousands of years.”

Their “ancestor” was the most ancient mber of their lineage, rumored to have survived since the Ancient Era.

A veritable monster from tis of old.

However, this ti, the ancestor’s actions puzzled them.

The colossal entity in the darkness was silent for a mont.

Gradually, it spoke: “This reminds of a story my own ancestor once told when I was very young.”

“It was from a ti long before the distant Ancient Era.

Back then, the world experienced a period of darkness in which all living beings were enslaved. Those who survived that era refused to speak of its grim past.”

“Although that darkness was eventually annihilated,

rumors persist that it was never fully eradicated and that one day it would return.”

“But what does that have to do with him?” a Deep Sea Giant Beast asked in confusion.

“You may not have sensed it, but during the battle preparations just now, apart from the young man, I felt two imnsely powerful waves of Holy Power around us,” replied the colossal entity.

“That level of Demonic Qi reminded of the scenes my ancestor once described.”

“Ancestor, are you saying he is the one from back then…?”

Before the voice could finish, the ancestor interrupted.

“Let’s hope not. However, better to believe and act cautiously than to underestimate such a Demon.

A piece of black ice is insignificant.”

“The ancestor’s wisdom prevails,” the assembled Deep Sea Giant Beasts said with relief.

“That beast is intriguing,” Bai ng remarked in the Divine Continent, laughing.

Xu Zii nodded slightly.

He had initially anticipated another fierce battle. Judging by their actions, it seed his enemies preferred not to provoke him.

“All the better—it saves us valuable ti.”

He tossed the Deep Sea Black Ice to the Dragon Maiden and asked, “Is this piece enough?”

“Those oversized brutes are all show and no substance,” the Dragon Maiden scoffed coldly.

“What a waste of my high expectations.”

“By the way, I have another question for you,” Xu Zii said.

“What is it?” the Dragon Maiden replied.

“What’s truly behind that gate?” asked Xu Zii.

Earlier, when he attacked the gate, the Dragon Maiden had appeared.

Otherwise, he suspected she would not have shown up.

The Dragon Maiden’s expression shifted slightly, and she responded directly, “I advise you not to open it—what lies behind is imnsely dangerous.

Consequences you cannot bear.”

“More dangerous than ?” Xu Zii countered.

“The Demonic Transformation Pool?”

“Was that girl ng Yu the one who told you?” the Dragon Maiden said coldly.

“Why?” Xu Zii inquired.

“I knew that girl was scheming,” the Dragon Maiden replied dispassionately.

“I heard that you accepted her as your disciple, yet you don’t seem particularly fond of her,” Xu Zii pressed.

“Don’t bring up that matter again,” the Dragon Maiden said directly.

“Find suitable fire to lt, and I’ll naturally assist in forging the weapon.”

Xu Zii nodded slightly, his Divine Soul returning to the North Sea.

Since the Dragon Maiden was unwilling to elaborate, pressing her further was aningless. He could only seek answers himself.

He walked step-by-step toward the grand gate.

The gate, with its black-and-white contrast, appeared ancient—its existence in the depths of the sea an enigma.

Tyrant Shadow appeared in his hand.

Xu Zii swung it, releasing a fierce burst of Blade Qi.

Only a muffled “bang” echoed as the Blade Qi was extinguished against the gate. The gate remained unmoved.

“Master, shall I give it a try?” Bai ng’s voice rang out.

Xu Zii nodded slightly.

From within the Divine Continent, two massive hands filled with Demonic Qi erged.

The Demonic Qi roiled around, tearing through space as the hands descended upon the gate.

With Demonic Qi surging into the heavens, Bai ng roared,

“Open!”

In an instant, wind and thunder rumbled as the Demonic Qi churned the entire sea.

Amidst the deep, creaking noises, the gate gradually opened.

The two panels separated slightly, forming a narrow gap that allowed entry, after which Bai ng stopped.

“Master, be cautious—sothing is amiss here,” Bai ng advised.

Xu Zii nodded slightly, stepping into the void within the gate.

As soon as he entered, a wave of scorching heat assaulted him.

The temperature of the flas nearly incinerated him.

Xu Zii raised his head, gazing at a space filled with crimson flas.

It was hard to believe such a flaming world lay hidden beneath the North Sea.

The fire’s temperatures were so extre that even soone of Xu Zii’s level struggled to endure them.

The flas below burned vivid red, while the uppermost flas turned deep yellow.

The entire world was engulfed in blazing fire.

Even the pathways underfoot radiated fiery heat.

Ordinary clothing here would likely incinerate instantly.

Xu Zii waved his hand, donning his battle armor, rendering himself impervious.

A deep red cloak fluttered among the sea of fire.

Ancient forces road the void, forbidding airborne motion—all who entered had to tread upon the ground.

Xu Zii retrieved a broken bull horn from his possession.

Once inside, the horn reacted wildly, its surface emitting violent pulses of Demonic Qi.

Strands of black Demonic Qi floated in the air, seemingly lding with the Demonic Qi saturating the environnt.

A black line stretched out ahead of Xu Zii.

“Is it guiding ?” Xu Zii muttered to himself.

Following the black line’s direction, his figure darted forward swiftly.

After about five or six minutes, he arrived at the edge of the space.

The space was not vast, but the flas here burned even hotter.

Xu Zii looked up and saw not far ahead a colossally imposing God Statue.

The statue appeared lifelike, dressed in black trousers, its upper body bare.

Its torso seed to be cracking open—red molten magma interwoven and coiled around it.

Its head bore fla-shaped hair, crowned by two deep crimson bull horns.

Its thin face was marked by red patterns that extended downward from the center of its brow.
