Chapter 1166: Chapter 1165: The Girl, Uproar in Cangwu Abyss
“You killed the young master of the Lu Residence, hurry up and co with us to confess your cri.”
“I didn’t kill him! Don’t co any closer, I don’t want to hurt you,” the woman kept retreating, her expression panicked as she spoke.
“Hurt us?” Soone burst out laughing.
“Little girl, isn’t your tone a bit too arrogant?”
“Stop wasting words with her. Bring her back and let the Manor Master deal with her,” the leader remarked indifferently.
The crowd closed in, and the woman curled up in fear.
Soone reached out directly to grab her collar.
Just then, a surge of powerful sword intent erupted from the woman, instantly slashing that person’s right hand into pieces.
“Ah!” The man scread in agony and fell to the ground.
“What did you do to him?” the leader glared at the woman angrily and asked in a cold tone.
“I told you not to co closer! I don’t want to hurt you, but I can’t control it,” the woman anxiously explained.
Yet, no one around her paid any heed. The leader rely said coldly, “Everyone, attack together. Take her down.”
The crowd went forward again, reaching for the woman.
The woman retreated continually, and if one observed carefully, they would notice her pupils resembled swords.
A suffocating aura of immortality and indomitability began to perate around her.
The woman was clearly in overwhelming panic; her entire being started to transform.
Behind her, black hair turned into what appeared to be countless sharp swords, becoming impossibly rigid.
The once frail figure now seed like an unsheathed blade, with endless sword intent swirling around her.
These sword intents sliced through the tranquil void, breaking the silence.
The stone steps beneath her feet shattered into neatly squared blocks, while the surrounding individuals were mutilated and reduced to remnants by the sword intent.
Countless horrific screams echoed chillingly.
When the sword intent dispersed, and the woman regained consciousness, the area was strewn with corpses and filled with a heavy stench of blood.
She stared at the scene before her in terror, shaking her head repeatedly.
“I didn’t an to do it, I really didn’t an to.”
At that mont, the sound of footsteps arose.
Xu Zii and Xie Changliu erged from Azure Dragon Town.
Upon seeing the two, the woman frantically ran down the mountain.
However, Xie Changliu’s sword intent surged right in front of her, blocking her path.
“I an no harm; don’t be afraid,” Xie Changliu said.
“Are you here to capture too?” the woman asked.
“You carry a Divine Body but cannot control its power. I only ca to take a look,” Xie Changliu replied.
“Divine Body? What is that?” the woman asked cautiously and with confusion.
“In short, it’s a very powerful constitution,” Xie Changliu answered.
“I can help you control your constitution, so that it won’t hurt others.”
“Why would you help ?” the woman asked.
“You can think of it as not wanting to see a piece of unpolished jade lose its shine,” Xie Changliu replied.
“Can I trust you?” The woman hesitated for a mont before looking at Xie Changliu with wide and bright eyes.
“Only you can answer that question,” Xie Changliu replied.
The woman fell montarily silent before nodding firmly.
“I trust you.”
Xie Changliu smiled faintly, extended his right hand, and a surge of endless sword qi began to gather around him.
This sword qi was not aggressive but defensive in nature.
With a gentle motion of his right hand, the sword qi flowed steadily toward the woman’s forehead.
The woman’s Immortal Sword Body seed stimulated, ready to resist.
But Xie Changliu’s surrounding sword intent was even stronger, forcibly suppressing it.
When all the sword intent had entered her forehead, the woman slowly opened her eyes.
“It’s done,” Xie Changliu said.
“I’ve temporarily sealed your Sword Body, but the seal will only last for at most ten years.
As the Sword Body evolves and grows, it will eventually break free of the seal.”
“Is there any way for to master it?” the woman asked.
“You haven’t started cultivating yet,” Xie Changliu remarked.
“If you cultivate to a certain level, not only will you master your Sword Body, but you will also strengthen it.”
“Can you teach ?” The woman looked at Xie Changliu expectantly.
Xie Changliu shook his head slightly. “You’re not suited to follow .”
“Co on, let’s head to Heavenly Saint Academy,” Xie Changliu said to Xu Zii.
After walking a few steps, they noticed the woman silently following behind them.
When they walked, she walked. When they stopped, she stopped.
“You should find a teacher who specializes in swordsmanship. They’ll be better suited than ,” Xie Changliu advised.
“I don’t trust anyone else; I only trust you,” the woman said stubbornly, shaking her head slightly.
“It seems you’ve brought yourself so trouble,” Xu Zii said, amused.
“My only intention was to protect a Divine Body from being tarnished,” Xie Changliu replied with a helpless shake of his head.
“Let’s go, don’t mind her.”
The two walked back into Azure Dragon Town.
Following the bustling main thoroughfare, led by Xie Changliu, they stopped in front of a grand hall.
The hall bore no sign or na, but two white-robed youths stood at the entrance.
Xie Changliu withdrew a White Jade Token from his Storage Ring and smiled, saying, “I thought I’d never return in this lifeti. This identity token has almost beco a keepsake.”
He placed the token before the two youths and said, “Please notify them. Xie Changliu, a student from the 700th class of Heavenly Saint Academy, seeks to return.”
“Senior Brother, one mont,” one youth checked the token before hurriedly entering the hall.
Before long, an exclamation was heard.
“Changliu, where’s Changliu?”
Accompanied by the previous youth, a middle-aged man hurried out.
“Teacher Lu, why are you here?” Upon seeing him, Xie Changliu said in astonishnt.
“You rascal, you actually rembered to co back. It’s been centuries since you left,” the middle-aged man said with a laugh.
“I’ve returned to request sothing, and I hope you won’t mind, Teacher Lu,” Xie Changliu said with a smile.
“Let introduce you: this is my benefactor and friend, Xu Zii.
“This is my teacher at Heavenly Saint Academy, Lu Changyou.”
Xu Zii and Lu Changyou exchanged smiles and nodded to each other.
“I knew you wouldn’t show up unless you had sothing important to ask. Co on, what is it?” Lu Changyou said.
“I need a stalk of Jiuyou Divine Grass,” Xie Changliu stated bluntly.
“About that,” Lu Changyou hesitated briefly.
“What’s the problem?” Xie Changliu asked, slightly hurried.
“If you had co a few years earlier, it wouldn’t have been scarce. But lately,” Lu Changyou sighed softly.
“The Cangwu Abyss has been increasingly unstable. The academy can barely suppress it anymore.
“Jiuyou Divine Grass grows deep within the abyss, and no one has dared to venture in lately.
“It’s beco a rare dicinal herb.”
“What if we try to gather it ourselves?” Xu Zii asked.
“I’d need to consult with the academy’s dean first. The matters concerning the Cangwu Abyss are of extre importance; we can’t make a decision lightly,” Lu Changyou replied.
“Fair enough. We’ll stay in Azure Dragon Town for a few days. Let us know if there’s any news,” Xu Zii said with a nod.
“Changliu, if you get the chance, visit your old friends and classmates at the academy. Many of them are still around,” Lu Changyou said with a slight nod.
