Chapter 1172: Chapter 1171: The Once of the Demon Race, Betrayal
Within the Demonic Qi, the shadowy figure of a Bull Demon lood, flickering in and out of sight.
It seed as though it had awakened from an ancient era, trampling across mountains and rivers, carrying a force of overwhelming suppression.
“My Lord, step back quickly,” Bai ng warned.
Not long after the words fell, a deafening “boom” echoed. The Demonic Qi above exploded entirely.
A loud and resonant moo of a bull reverberated.
The entire firmant echoed with it, lingering in the air for ages.
The Crimson Blade Bull Demon was wreathed in flas, its thick fur rippling in the wind. It ascended into the void, roaring toward the heavens.
“Old Bull, have you lost your mind?” Bai ng chuckled.
The Crimson Blade Bull Demon turned around, and its fiery, flaming eyes gradually cald.
“Bai ng, and you, Seven-Faced,” the Crimson Blade Bull Demon bellowed, its voice like rolling thunder, booming in their ears.
Its voice surged forth relentlessly, sharp enough to rupture the eardrums of ordinary mortals.
“How did you find ?”
“Never mind that for now. Look who this is,” Bai ng pointed at Xu Zii with a smile.
Only then did the Crimson Blade Bull Demon’s gaze fall upon Xu Zii.
Earlier, it hadn’t noticed him, as it had just awakened and was focused on seeing Bai ng and the other.
“Who are you?” The Crimson Blade Bull Demon stared at Xu Zii for a long while.
Then, its expression changed abruptly, and its voice trembled as it spoke, “M-My Lord, is it truly you?”
“Long ti no see,” Xu Zii replied with a smile.
Though he barely retained any mories of the past, this was undoubtedly a subordinate of his forr self.
“My Lord, I’ve missed you so much,” the Crimson Blade Bull Demon stepped forward in a single stride and embraced Xu Zii tightly.
Tears flowed uncontrollably, as it sobbed with heart-wrenching sorrow.
“Old Bull has often dreamt of you over these years. I’ve long felt ashad for not being able to die alongside you in those days.”
“Calm down for now,” Xu Zii gestured, attempting to break free.
However, the Crimson Blade Bull Demon only hugged him tighter.
Its face was a ss of snot and tears.
“My Lord, I always knew you’d return. Old Bull’s years of waiting haven’t been in vain.”
“Fine, cry all you want, but don’t wipe your snot on ,” Xu Zii finally managed to free himself and asked,
“What caused you such grievous injuries, and how did you end up imprisoned here?
What exactly happened back then?”
“Indeed, My Lord has forgotten much of the past. We’re not entirely sure either,” Bai ng chid in.
“It’s a long story. When the great war began, My Lord sent us away and held off all enemies alone,”
the Crimson Blade Bull Demon recounted. “Afterward, when the Cosmos Ze Era was destroyed, we drifted in the cosmic void for countless years.
When a new Epoch erged, the forr Demon Race had fractured into pieces.
Of the Eighteen Demonic Generals, only nine remained, and many of our Demon brethren were scattered.
Few of us remained, and we accompanied My Lord to the newly established Nine Domains.”
“This place?” Xu Zii asked.
“Exactly. At that ti, the Nine Domains aligned with the Primordial Era, a world newly ford.
All sentient beings were on the Way of Inquiry, cultivating their paths.
We relied on our strength to quickly rise and dominate, establishing a vast realm of our own within the Nine Domains.”
The Crimson Blade Bull Demon replied firmly, “Even the nine Ancient Gods of this world dared not confront us directly.
We ended the Primordial Era and established an era of our own—The Demon’s Advent.”
“The Demon’s Advent,” Xu Zii murmured to himself, then asked,
“But how did you end up in such a state?”
“Ah,” the Crimson Blade Bull Demon sighed deeply and said,
“After the Cosmos Ze Era was destroyed, many in the Demon Race survived.
However, so of our old enemies also lingered.
Because the Demon Race had grown too powerful, not only ruling over the entire Nine Domains but also infiltrating nearby smaller worlds,
those enemies could only hide, biding their ti for the right mont.”
At this point, the Crimson Blade Bull Demon’s emotions seed to grow more agitated.
“At so unknown point, those enemies allied with the Heavenly Dao of the Nine Domains.
They sought to annihilate our Demon Race.”
“The Heavenly Dao?” Xu Zii frowned and said, “Why would the Heavenly Dao seek to destroy the Demon Race? Out of fear of our power, or…?”
“I am not sure of the reason. Only that back then, My Lord decided to initiate the ultimate battle, to slay the Heavenly Dao and establish a new order.”
The Crimson Blade Bull Demon recounted, “We rallied all our forces and opened the Heaven-reaching Door.
My Lord commanded to guard the entrance to the Heavenly Gate. I had wished desperately to join you in the battle, but you refused.”
“Yet, after you entered the gate, it was abruptly sealed shut.
The forces we had gathered turned traitor, led by the Ten Great Clans.”
At this, the Crimson Blade Bull Demon was overco with rage, twin streams of white vapor steaming from its nostrils.
“Those Ten Great Clans had been elevated through our aid. With the collusion of the Heavenly Dao from within, I was dealt a devastating blow and ended up in my current state.”
“What happened inside the Heaven-reaching Door? Do you know?” Xu Zii asked.
The Crimson Blade Bull Demon shook its head and replied, “My Lord didn’t allow to follow inside. You led the other Demonic Generals in, and none of you ever returned.”
“Do you know of the Holy Court?” Xu Zii asked again.
“The Holy Court was established by those forr enemies,” the Crimson Blade Bull Demon said.
“When the Demon Race was at its peak, they already called themselves the Holy Court, hiding in the darkness to oppose us.”
“You were sealed by the Ancient God Zhu Rong in the Fla World. You’re unaware of any of this?” Xu Zii questioned.
“The Ancient Gods have always been devoted solely to the Way of Inquiry, uninterested in worldly disputes,” the Crimson Blade Bull Demon replied.
“After sustaining my injuries, I fell unconscious and have been in slumber since. I know little of what transpired in between.”
“Piecing together what we know now, so connections are beginning to take shape,” Bai ng said from the side.
“It seems that after My Lord entered the Heaven-reaching Door, you likely encountered failure.
Ultimately, the Demon Race was driven into the Ancient Demon Cave, cast out in exile.
Yet many questions remain: why did the Heavenly Dao of the Nine Domains target us?
Why did those forces suddenly betray us?
And what is the significance of the Ancient God’s sealing?”
“Step by step, we’ll unravel the truth soday,” Xu Zii replied.
“As long as My Lord still stands, there is always hope,”
the Crimson Blade Bull Demon declared. “This ti, Old Bull swears to follow My Lord to the death. Be it the Heavenly Dao or the Holy Court, they shall face the vengeance of our Demon Race.”
“Enough, you’ve all reunited after so long. Take so ti to catch up. I have matters to attend to outside,” Xu Zii said.
“Farewell, My Lord,” the Crimson Blade Bull Demon’s massive figure knelt reverently and stated loudly.
After leaving the Divine Continent, Xie Changliu and Jiang Mozi had searched the Cangwu Abyss for a long ti.
Yet they found nothing.
“It seems we must journey to the bottom of the Abyss,” Xu Zii said.
He turned to Jiang Mozi and said, “You are not suited to descend for now. Stay above and continue searching.
I’ll go with Changliu to explore below. If anything unusual arises, we’ll co back to inform you.”
Understanding his current state, Jiang Mozi nodded without objection.
