Chapter 1211: Chapter 1210 I am Mad Chu, Singing and Laughing at the Gods

“Thunder Snake, you’re still alive,” Sima Yan frowned and said indifferently.

“You’re alive, so how could I dare to die?” the old man nad Thunder Snake chuckled.

Purple arcs of electricity swirled continuously on his robe, resembling serpents coiling endlessly.

Though the arcs seed feeble in power, they emitted an aura that sent chills down one’s spine.

In truth, the energy contained within them was astonishing.

“I hadn’t expected you to be residing in the Seven Gods Academy now,” Sima Yan remarked.

“Do I need to report to you where I choose to live?” Thunder Snake replied flatly.

“Out of respect for your Sansi, I can overlook this incident. Leave now.”

“Thunder Snake, you understand the consequences of defying Sansi, don’t you?” Sima Yan squinted slightly and spoke with a calm nace.

“Oh? Are you threatening now?” Thunder Snake said nonchalantly.

“I know Sansi is strong, but the Seven Gods Academy has a long history. There are those who could resist.”

“Fine. I’ll rember this,” Sima Yan snorted coldly.

“This matter isn’t over.”

He extended his hand, and the Ice Bird’s corpse that had plumted into the valley began to sink further down.

Soon, it ascended slowly and soared into the skies once more.

With a sharp screech, the Ice Bird flapped its wings, flying again in the void.

Standing atop the Ice Bird, Sima Yan slowly faded into the distance, vanishing into the vast emptiness.

“He’s far too arrogant,” an elder nearby muttered.

“He probably thinks brandishing the na of Sansi will scare us into yielding and admitting fault.”

“Even Sansi can’t act recklessly, especially since this is the Boundless Sea.”

The group exchanged spirited discussions, but Xu Zii could tell that neither Thunder Snake nor Feng Buxiu looked pleased.

Instead, they appeared deeply concerned—evidently, Sansi wasn’t easy to contend with.

“Young Master Xu, let’s move on,” Feng Buxiu took a deep breath and said.

“Exercise extre caution on this journey,” Thunder Snake warned.

He glanced at Xu Zii one last ti before his figure gradually dissolved into the void.

In Feng Buxiu’s hands, spatial energy stirred once more, and the spatial gate to the coordinates was opened.

The five-mber group stepped into it simultaneously.

Within the spatial portal, Feng Buxiu produced several sheets of paper and handed them to Xu Zii.

Xu Zii took them and glanced through, realizing they contained information about the opponents in the upcoming trials.

“You must be especially wary of the Monster Temple,” Feng Buxiu said.

“According to the intelligence we’ve gathered, the Monster Temple’s unparalleled genius in this generation is rumored to be the reincarnation of the Angry Bodhisattva.

His na is Wang Nu.

Just eighteen days ago, he single-handedly stord Ciyuan Temple, defeating eighteen temple guardians with a single strike.

Not even their patriarch could detain him.

It’s said he resonated with Ciyuan Temple’s Bodhisattva, rging himself with the Bodhisattva as one entity. He’s unfathomably formidable.”

“And then there’s Emperor Feilian of the Wujian Academy—he’s already proclaid his imperial title and received recognition,” Feng Buxiu added.

“Recognition?” Xu Zii looked at Feng Buxiu, puzzled.

“You’re unaware, aren’t you? In this world, every Great Saint and Great Emperor must undergo trials to formalize their imperial titles and saintly nas,” Feng Buxiu explained.

“Upon approval, the heavens will rain spiritual blessings, and the world will resound with celestial ons, announcing it to all.”

“This is a mark of respect for imperial titles, and the world acknowledges it universally.”

“Understood,” Xu Zii nodded.

“Be cautious. The Five Great Clans and the other two academies—this ti, the adversaries are not to be underestimated,” Feng Buxiu warned gravely.

“What about the Nine Ghosts Academy?” Xu Zii asked.

“Weren’t their nine so-called Ghosts all defeated and cowed by Hong Yu?”

“The so-called Nine Ghosts are cultivated internally by the academy; they’re of little consequence,” Feng Buxiu said dismissively.

“However, the nine revered Mountain Ghosts have likely trained heirs of their own.

The participants this ti may very well be their personal disciples.”

“If the nine revered Mountain Ghosts are training disciples, why does the academy still cultivate the Nine Ghosts?” Xu Zii asked.

“Survival of the fittest—do you understand?” Feng Buxiu replied.

“Pressure from competition drives mutual progress.”

Xu Zii nodded slightly.

“This trial takes place at White Emperor Mountain?” Xu Zii asked.

“No, in White Emperor City,” Feng Buxiu shook his head.

“The trial is judged by the Chu Family. Their word is final.”

“What’s the Chu Family’s background?” Xu Zii asked curiously.

“Their ancestor, Mad Chu, was a close friend of the White Emperor. After the White Emperor departed, both White Emperor Mountain and White Emperor City were entrusted to their care,” Feng Buxiu explained.

“Although the Chu Family is considered a powerful clan, they can’t compare to the major forces.

However, out of respect for Mad Chu, everyone obliges their judgnts. It’s said Mad Chu still resides with the Chu Family.”

“I see,” Xu Zii nodded, realizing this journey would be far from simple.

Compared to the Mortal Domain, the Ghost God Realm was brimming with overwhelmingly powerful figures. Many could match his strength.

Yet, Xu Zii remained undaunted. A long, thorny path ahead—a road filled with challenges—was inevitable.

Otherwise, how dull would it be to simply sweep through with ease?

After all, true strength grows in solitude!

………

After a few days within the fabled coordinates, as before, their vision was suddenly flooded by dazzling white light.

The spatial gate opened, and their silhouettes were absorbed.

When their surroundings ca into view, an imnse plaza appeared before them.

However, this plaza was not located within the city but atop a mountain peak.

As they materialized, countless people appeared around them simultaneously.

After all, White Emperor City was a major hub within the Half-Burial Domain, and it was normal for people to co and go frequently.

Upon arrival, a cacophony of conversation filled the air.

The surrounding crowd buzzed with discussions.

“Look, that’s White Emperor City. Over there is White Emperor Mountain,” Feng Buxiu pointed out to Xu Zii and another companion.

He was evidently familiar with the area.

Xu Zii raised his head. In the distance hovered a massive city suspended in the void.

The city was so vast that its boundaries were beyond sight. It floated majestically, its grandeur imposing, with an almost futuristic aesthetic.

The undulating city walls resembled intertwined dragons, their ends vanishing into the horizon’s edge.

Towering structures reached toward the heavens, their peaks obscured by clouds.

The endless architecture defied the gaze of re mortals, with Spiritual Springs flowing endlessly forward, and celestial phenona often flickering across the firmant above.

This gave the city an untouchable aura of mystique.

Turning his gaze, Xu Zii looked toward the direction of White Emperor Mountain.

It was a towering mountain shrouded in mist.

The mountain seed enveloped by so mysterious barrier, and no matter how hard Xu Zii tried, he couldn’t pierce through its veil.

Unbidden, a poetic phrase ca to his mind:

“Just because I am within this mountain!”

“Co on, the scenery of White Emperor Mountain must be viewed from within. You can’t truly appreciate it from outside,” Feng Buxiu said with a smile.

Leading the group, he headed down the trail.

The mountain road was remarkably smooth, clearly shaped through deliberate craftsmanship.

Step by step, the group descended until they finally stood before White Emperor City itself.

The city gate was enormous and grandiose, but an even more striking sight stood before it—a stone monunt.

Inscribed on it was a poem:

“I am none other than Mad Chu,

Singing a phoenix’s tune to mock gods and immortals.

With the Mad Dao Sword in hand,

I bid farewell to White Emperor City.”

The entire poem seed to have been etched into the monunt, radiating an intense aura of fervent madness.

It was so overwhelming that one dared not stare at it for too long.
