Chapter 1224: Chapter 1223: Evil Demon Tower, Hell Sea

The bound figure looked indifferently at Xu Zii and said calmly.

“How did you enter this great hall?”

“Why can’t I go where I wish?” Xu Zii retorted.

“This is my domain of principles; how can it be a place where others co and go as they please?” Sage Lv replied.

“I see now, it must be that avatar helping you.”

“That’s not important. Legend has it you were the first known Great Saint killed by the White Emperor,” Xu Zii said.

“Yet, it seems you are very much alive now.”

“Living like this, what difference does it make from being dead?” Sage Lv retorted.

“What brings you here?”

“Passed by the strange city and inadvertently ca in to have a look,” Xu Zii said.

“Can you save then?” Sage Lv said, but then his eyes dimd as he spoke.

“Never mind, my Life and Death Soul has already been severed, so what of leaving?”

His body, bound by chains, swayed as the loose hair covered his entire face.

With a light chuckle, he said, “In forr years, I road beyond the Three Realms, angering the Ghost God, none dared defy.

Now trapped to death in the Principles Hall, for thousands of years, no one asks.

The affairs of life, truly absurd, absurd.”

Xu Zii slowly walked up to him; it was apparent that the once unrestrained Great Saint no longer existed.

Now standing before him was rely a struggling, miserable old man.

He looked up at Xu Zii, who was also gazing at him.

“Do a favor,” Sage Lv suddenly said.

“What?” Xu Zii asked.

“Kill ,” Sage Lv resolutely said.

“Let die with dignity and not disgrace my saintly title.”

“In the past, I fought with the White Emperor here. The White Emperor could have slain , but due to my greed, I ruined his grand plans.

He specifically imprisoned my wasted soul here, enduring endless torture, unable to die for millennia.”

“To die like this, wouldn’t it be too disgraceful for a Great Saint?” Xu Zii retorted.

“Are the masses imprisoned here not more disgraced?” Sage Lv countered.

“What’s with this city?” Xu Zii asked.

“When I ca in, I saw everyone was a Great Saint.”

“Are you sure those are people?” Sage Lv suddenly asked.

Xu Zii was stunned for a mont, seemingly pondering sothing.

“No need to think further, those are not people, but my Great Saint Principles,” Sage Lv explained.

“My principles, are of formless nature.

Without heart or form, encompassing all things. After being decapitated, my hair turned into a bamboo grove, and my limbs forever suppressed the Evil Demon Tower.

The body sinks and floats in the Hell Sea, and my principles beca this Lone City.”

“If you die, wouldn’t these principles dissipate? Isn’t that a pity,” Xu Zii said.

The Lone City stands today because Sage Lv still exists. If he dies, these principles will naturally vanish.

“So you are after my principles, huh,” Sage Lv chuckled softly.

“Don’t even think about it. Unless you’re a Great Saint, what use would my principles be to you?”

“How would you know without trying?” Xu Zii retorted.

“The things we pursue, if accessible to everyone, what aning would it hold?

One must achieve what others cannot, to reach achievents unattainable for ordinary people.”

“Your words do make sense, but why should I give you my principles?” Sage Lv countered.

“That’s why I t you, to carry your principles, and witness the pinnacle of this world.

It would not tarnish your saintly na,” Xu Zii said.

“Also, do you have any dying wishes? I can help you fulfill them.”

Xu Zii offered two points, knowing it might be a bit presumptuous.

But he also understood, it was all he could do for now.

The principles of a Great Saint indeed tempted him; after all, it was a realm he’d never explored before.

After hearing Xu Zii’s words, Sage Lv fell silent. After a long quiet, he finally looked up and said: “I have but one wish.”

Xu Zii’s eyes lit up, having a wish is much easier; what he feared was soone who desired nothing.

“Tell about it.”

“I ca from the Lyu family in the Half-Ghost Domain, I severed ties with them years ago and never returned after becoming a saint,” Sage Lv said calmly.

“Later, I learned that when I was Enlightening as Great Emperor, the Lyu family offended an enemy during that period.

Not wanting to delay my Becoming Emperor, they broke ties with for that reason.

All these years, I’ve wanted to go back to see the Lyu family, but have always been entangled in matters.

Now in such a state, there’s no longer a chance to return. Please go take a look at the Lyu family for , and if they need any help, assist them.

This is my only wish.”

“Alright, I agree,” Xu Zii nodded.

“I can lend you a helping hand, but these principles are always exclusive to a Great Saint. If you can’t use them, don’t bla ,” Sage Lv reminded him.

Xu Zii nodded slightly, then looked at Sage Lv bound by chains, wielding Tyrant Shadow, intending to break it.

But at that mont, the void beside him began to undulate.

The robed man and the child servant Xu Zii t in the White Emperor’s mausoleum appeared beside them.

“Finally willing to show yourselves,” Sage Lv mocked, “I thought you’d hide for a lifeti!”

“We’re not here for you,” the robed man replied.

Then he glanced at Xu Zii and said, “Young lord, we et again.”

“Not too keen on seeing you,” Xu Zii replied directly.

“I know you want to save him, but those imprisoned by the White Emperor aren’t so easily freed,” the robed man said.

“Are you going to stop ?” Xu Zii narrowed his eyes and asked lightly.

“No intention of being your enemy, otherwise you wouldn’t have reached here,” the robed man chuckled.

“But the White Emperor has his rules, and they must be followed.”

“Then what’s the rule for saving him?” Xu Zii asked.

“Don’t tell it’s about inheriting so will.”

“If you’re unwilling, there are other ways,” the robed man smiled.

“What are they?”

“Kill everyone here, beco the only survivor in the Battlefield of Ultimate Confrontation, and you can make a wish.

Then you can save him, and I won’t stop you.”

Xu Zii looked at the robed man, then turned to Sage Lv.

With a grin, he said, “This was my original purpose for coming here. Where is my comrade outside?”

“Rest assured, she’s fine,” the robed man replied.

“Then I’ll just wait here for your news.”

“Beware of the Evil Demon Tower and the Hell Sea,” Sage Lv warned Xu Zii solemnly.

Xu Zii nodded; for Sage Lv to specifically remind him, it seed these two places were different.

He stepped out of the hall until Xu Zii left.

Sage Lv then looked at the robed man and asked lightly, “What exactly are your intentions?”

“Just providing so nourishnt for the White Emperor, don’t worry,” the robed man laughed.

“They want legacy, and we need nourishnt, it’s mutual exchange.”
